We had a mixture of "yours, mine and ours"beat up cheaper furniture so it just didn't make sense to move it with us. One of the first places we stopped was Ethan Allen. At first I was overwhelmed and I walked out of the store telling my husband, "it's nice, but it's not my style." Fast forward a couple weeks and looking at numerous stores, we went back to Ethan Allen. Renae helped us and she was a godsend. My husband and I aren't into interior design. We don't really identify with a particular style, but instead we know things we like. We walked around the store pointing out the things we liked and why plus the things we didn't and why. She came to our house in Marana, measured everything, and then gave us a proposal a week or two later. Her proposal was BEAUTIFUL. She nailed our style and it was so impressive. We ended up ordering a lights for above our kitchen island, a new buffet, liquor cabinet, dining table with chairs (some custom), and a rug. Delivery was great and always communicated. Everything was delivered by when they said it would. It's been a few months and we are still in love with everything. The buffer was delivered with the slightest damage on the bottom leg. I didn't notice until later that night. They had somebody at our house the next week to fix it. It looks good as new. Definitely recommend checking this place out. Their pieces are pricey compared to something like Sam Levitz, but the quality is worlds higher.

23 years ago we moved into our home in the Foothills. We were recommended to Patrice Meyer to do…read moreour window treatments. From the moment we met her, we were amazed by a woman coming in and measuring about 20 windows with all different treatments from Plantation Shutters, to verticals and roll up shades. They lasted till recently when some slats in a window that had the verticals was subjected to much of the sun broke off from the track. Patrice came in once again measured for a new track and we'll be back in business again. She is really a very talented woman. You can order bedspreads, drapes, flooring, window treatments. She is prompt reliable and really knows this business like no one else. Love to see a dynamic lady doing this kind of work. She comes to your home with books and explanations for everything. It took us 6 weeks to finally sign the contract and put down the $6000 deposit for our mater bathroom. During that time she has reconfigured the designs and charges 5 different ways. I will check in again, when the work is complete! So far, we are impressed. We think this design studio is about 1/3 more then putting the project together ourselves but we look forward to amazing results.

Just before the nightmare with…read morethe entertainment center debacle was about to start, I brought Sandra another client during the same time I was collaborating with her on an entertainment center. This new client I brought in I have just designed a beautiful new kitchen layout. They hired me to completely redesign their entire home with a budget of 350K, and they had moved out of their home. I would have been an amazing project with Sandra and I. I stated to Sandra we had around a 50K budget for the kitchen cabinets. Her price ended up being over 110K for just the kitchen only, no labor. I along with my clients were gob smacked by this number. Not once did she even try to save the sale or offer any suggestions of different lines. Looking back, I now fell she gave an outrageous number to blow me off and not to do another project with her. I ended up losing this new client that I truly needed, especially being new to Tucson. When I reached out to the client, he stated to me, "Your pricing is just too high for us, we are getting the cabinetry and kitchen you designed for us for 42K". Granted a different cabinet line and I am sure they made changes but still. I lost a 350K project over an outrageous number provided for cabinetry. Like the entertainment center project, I was disappointed in Sandra with her lack of concern and professionalism or trying to meet the client's budget. Two months later she wanted to bill me for using my drawings to put into the computer to present to them for the sale. I said that you will have to ask the client not me. I was not hiring you, they were. If you do not ask for a deposit or explain your charge to put my drawings into the computer this is not my fault, it is yours. So, no will never work with Arizona kitchens again, nor refer, nor do I recommend, which is terribly sad as they have a beautiful showroom much like my old one, but the service is just not there. We came in today to explore wood ideas or paint ideas for a…read moreOff the wall bed. We have a second bedroom with only a few guests in the last 3 years , so it is where we fold clothes generally. If we changed the space it could expand to a reading room with shelves. We have bought here before, twice, so we know the advantages. Those rooms turned into 2 offices that had a optional bed. We could sleep An extra two couples at the same time, and did. So, the idea is how to spend 3-4 k and create a wow room where guests could stay or stay over. The styles are very consistent to what we had in 2015. Just nice woodwork and different configurations for side storage ideas. Shelves, not drawers. We still are in the idea stage, we met Jay, the original owner. A wonderful man and conversationalist. To change a space to more than a bedroom is a good use of a smaller property. A two bedroom house can be a three with the pull of a handle.
