He wanted to go for brunch, I always wanted to try this place, so here we were around 11, curious and hungry. The decor is a mix of rustic and modern, there were a few people at the counter and a couple seated at the entrance, but there was still a little space for the both of us ( translation, it's a delicatessen/meat shop/brunch spot it won't fit large groups). We were greeted with smiles and our order was taken very quickly, my son ordered a chocolate cookie, an orange juice and their French toast with Cheesecake, Blueberries, Coconut and Lemon and I ordered their Poached egg with leeks and sausage with a latte. When our order came the waiter realized that he asked for the wrong dish and offered it to us as a compensation for the wait, I really appreciated the attention. so we ended up trying their Pancake with herbs and salmon tartar as well! Every single dish was fresh, full of flavour and delicious! The cherry on the cake was their little cabinet full of little stories and coloring books for kids...That's a big plus for me, my son really enjoyed reading them (and it sure helped with the wait). Needless to say that I will be back to try the delicatessen part of their store and more of their succulent brunch menu!

What's a wine night without something to munch on?! My friend and I bought cheese and olives, but thought charcuterie would make this snack complete for the evening. We chanced upon the stand and upon closer inspection of the offerings, there were a few things of interest. They had a special price for the Creton terrine that evening, but we were more interested in cured meats instead of terrines. I was interested in something that was comparable to prosciutto, but unfortunately, it was only sold in bulk. Since we wanted something a little lighter, we settled on Coppa. Since we were unsure of how many ounces, the guy at the counter helped us ration out our portion based on how many slices we could eat. That was much easier to figure out, so we settled on 10 slices total. Custom packed and purchased, it was a nice addition to the evening. Should have found this sooner! They had other great selections such as Chorizo, Bacon, Salami and Figatelli. The terrines also looked yums, but it would have been too much to split between the two of us. I find this butcher to be the perfect "yuppie" butcher. Has all the markings of being "yuppie-fied". Has artisanal beers, artisanal meats, charcuterie (also artisanal). Will also, cut a carcass in front of you if you want. But the most important thing of all, that makes this butcher more yuppie than most... is the fact that they have a chalk board that shows you the name and area of where they get each specific meat, locally sourced and super organically grown and farmed. All the buzz words that you have come to know and love.

I tried many things on my first go and I wasn't impress unfortunately. I waited about 40 minutes for a smash burger at buns buns (the wait time was caused they had gas issue and the burner wasn't turning on). It was an ok burger. No seasoning on the meat, was missing flavour. I felt like eating a watery burger. I also trie Mr. Mechoui poutine which is porc and beef mechoui with oignons, mushroom and Mr. Mechoui sauce. The sauce is mostly the juice from the mechoui. Because of that, the poutine tasted pretty bland. The meat itself didn't taste a lot. Maybe other poutine sauce they have like the maple bbq taste better. I had a spicy popcorn chicken in a waffle cône at victory bbq. This one was very good. Prices are reasonable, portions are good.
