Eventually I settled on Office Depot due to their price, turnaround time, selection, and business features. I was convinced the Business Select program was a great value, both for the price and the discounts it offers overall. I have already earned back the annual cost after only several discount purchases. The work I needed done was a custom printing of 7 pages, 200 copies, double sided, black and white. We needed them in less than a week and Office Depot delivered. My needs were met by Cassandra, the printing specialist (manager? - unsure of her exact title) and she was spectacular. She knew her products, her equipment, and her service capabilities, and took the time to answer all of our questions and make sure we got the best bang for our buck. In the end, I received exactly what I was looking for, received a call when they were ready, and they EVEN FOLDED THEM FOR ME! (which was not an ask but it was definitely a time-saver). Since then, I've gotten more quotes from her and will continue to visit this store and Cassandra as she is a special employee that goes above and beyond and deserves all the recognition she receives! Thank you Cassandra and Office Depot, we're super happy with your business and service.

I have a great desk that my son put together because he's a cross of Handy Manny and Fix It Felix. That's not me and I proudly admit to being unhandy. My current chair that I have had for about two years is serviceable but lately, it's losing its gas. For those that don't know, most if not all task chairs have a gas lift so that they can be height adjustable. The gas in my chair is on 'E' for Extra. I will be on a video call and suddenly without notice drop 4 inches and there's a dramatic pause and another 2-inch drop. To say it's freaking annoying would be an understatement I started my search for a replacement chair at the other guys. You know, the store that is named after the metal brackets inside of a stapler. Their selection of chairs was limited and 4 x the price of that place that is named after a mechanical device that joins pages of paper It's just a sham and while the service is better, Office Depot is just not priced competitively. With all the options available, and with no seeming interest to adapt to the marketplace, Office Depot may find itself the way of Toy R Us and Radio Shack.

BOISE, ID: Unfortunately I can't leave a positive note here; and it's rare that I need to draft a…read moreone star review. (TLDR: BOE overcharged hidden fees for three years, were rude to us, and publicly email-shamed my wife) Boise Office Equipment sold our business a flat-fee contract. The initial sale was very "car salesman-y, back-slappy" and moved fast, but they got the transaction done and we needed the machine we purchased. We complained and asked for a new rep after the first purchase, and they switched us to someone new for ongoing interactions. After two years, we moved out of state and they told us that they couldn't service us direct any more, but that we should call Xerox direct for service. We asked if there was a price difference and were told no. This worked fine for awhile: Xerox serviced us direct and BOE collected our money. Then one day we needed help with a remote software set up, and called BOE for this because Xerox has a hard time with remote service. Diane, the service person at BOE, was rude to us, saying they wouldn't help us because we had been serviced "behind their backs" by Xerox, and suggested we had paid Xerox under the table extra to do so (?). We replied that we would be foolish to pay two companies for one service, and that we were only following BOE instructions. She doubled down, saying "they didn't have record of our unauthorized move" (??). After being a client five years, we were so incredulous that we asked to cancel and speak to a manager; at which point she clumsily backpedaled and attempted a ham-handed apology before handing us off. We inquired about pricing and discovered that (1) they were charging more than we would have paid to Xerox direct and (2) they had raised our prices per click/print in each of the last three years; not such a flat fee after all. They needed our cancel notice in writing; so we emailed the manager to do so. Two lines: please cancel our account, we were disappointed in the service and pricing deception. The response? The manager replied to our cancel notice, to my wife, and copied two more people, to publicly shame her for being abrupt with Diane and state that they didn't tolerate customers who were curt with their service staff (?). Unbelievable.

I've had nothing but good experiences with this company. They're highly responsive and…read moreprofessional. It's nice to know that if you have any kind of printer issue, BOE has your back. I would recommend BOE to anyone who wants to take their printing services to the next level.

I found Will to be very personable and VERY up on his technical knowledge, not only on printers (…read morewhich is what I called him for) but on all the ins and outs of my PC, the network and security issues and solutions. He streamlined my PC, fixed my printer, and set up more and better security than I had until then. Also, he charged me for fewer hours than he actually worked, which I appreciate. I would be happy to recommend him to anyone.

He contacted me within 20 minutes of posting my problems…read morethat I was having over the phone and walked me through a couple of things I could do on my own and test if it worked since it was a time sensitive repair I needed (had tournaments to attend) that way I wouldn't even need to take it in. Unfortunately my pc had many more issues than I was able to solve on my own. The GPU from the factory was not well put together with WAY too much flux and thermal paste and the heat sink not even touching the component it was supposed to be taking heat from, cpu also had some similar problems and my ssd was also corrupt and had problems. Throughout the entire process he sent me pictures of the components before (showing the problem) and then after he had fixed it and he kept me in the loop on what he was doing. Not only did he get the computer to run but he improved it and optimized it removing all of the bloatware and 3rd party data collecting apps as well as adding a ssd cooler and resurfacing components for a better connection. I will definitely be going to him the next time I buy a pc to go through and nip the quality control issues at the factory in the bud and make sure its good BEFORE it becomes a big problem.
