Saw my Primary Doctor on Tuesday and IMI had me worked in at 5pm for a CT of my torso on Thursday. Had the evaluation by 9am Friday morning. The technician was fast and professional with a sense of humor. Could not believe they got it evaluated so quickly. Getting a copy over the gynocologist/oncologist. The Gyno/Onco Doctor ordered an ultrasound and seemed kind of mmmm. Said I should see my Primary Doctor because that wasn't the problem, and he bulldogged the information and got me CT'd quickly. Definitely better imaging scans than the ultrasound. read more

Steer clear of Intermountain Medical Imaging, Meridian. Their business practices appear to be nefarious in regard to billing, particularly in regard breast MRIs. My date of service was May 5, 2026. I offered to pay out of pocket for the sake of expediency and when I told the front desk staff that I intended to seek reimbursement for the claim, she said I waived my right to file a claim. None of this was true. Don't let them tell you this if you're seeking some kind of imaging service there. Double check with your health insurance provider before going there. Since the date of service, they have billed my insurance after being forced into it by my health insurance provider. It took 69 calendar days to get reimbursed. Billing Department is extremely difficult to get a hold of. In fact, if you must go there for something, it's best to go in person to schedule your appointment because you'll be on hold on the phone for anywhere from 10-80 minutes. It's the same duration in regard to following up with billing. The clinical staff is good and competent. The back of office and front of office staff are difficult to communicate with, likely due to differing educational backgrounds and/or lack of training in how to do their jobs. This issue was relayed to St. Alphonsus Women's Health, as all of this business started with their practitioners claiming that Idaho insurance will cover out of pocket expenses for breast MRIs. You are completely alone and on your own in dealing with all of this once you leave your doctor's office. Assume you need prior authorization from your health insurance company, and allow yourself 15-30 business days to get that from your health insurance company, who should provide it to Intermountain. Then confirm with Intermountain that they have the authorization in place. Do not rely on Intermountain Scheduling to get the authorization in a timely manner for you. Good luck to anyone who has a serious issue and needs something done fast at this clinic. You may want to consider going out of state for your imaging needs for the sake of ease and peace of mind knowing that a clinic will understand how to obtain authorizations before someone has their imaging and then knows how to submit a claim with your health insurance provider. read more

I had an MRI performed through this company and specifically checked the expected cost beforehand. I used their online cost estimator, verified the estimate through my insurance, and also spoke directly with a company representative. Every source consistently indicated that my out-of-pocket cost would be around $700 with insurance. However, after the MRI, I was billed over $2,100. To make matters worse, their billing department is located in Seattle and has been extremely difficult to reach. They do not provide clear answers, and my emails have gone unanswered. I understand that estimates are not guarantees, but a difference of more than $1,400 is unacceptable. Patients should be able to rely on the information provided by a healthcare organization when making decisions about their care. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. read more

I was tentatively diagnosed by my GP as having kidney stones. Is been in intense pain for a week. On Monday, my doctor sent in a urgent referral to Intermountain imaging. It took 2days for me to even get an email from them telling me I could schedule my own appointment. The only option was to come in 2 days later. No concern, not even a call to schedule something for me. When I went in 2 days later, I was doubled over in pain and walking made me want to puke. The front desk barely acknowledged me and told me it would be a 20 minute wait. Then, the tech walked so fast to literally the farthest exam room. I was limping behind. She was professional but cold. It's now been 2 more days, we're going into the weekend and no results have been provided to my doctor. When I call, I only get voice-mail and never get a call back. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE SHIT. read more

The care was excellent, but there billing department is horrible. I had a MRI done in July and never received a bill. however received a call demanding payment of a bill I had never received. I called the number for billing and reached IMI's third party billing company who were not helpful other than to tell me my account was sent to collections. Needless to say I was mad. I tried calling a different number and reached a receptionist who transferred me to the lady who deals with insurance. I explained my problem and she said she would put me through to billing. I ended up back with the third party, they still weren't helpful but I paid my bill. The next day (Wednesday) I called the corporate office number and left a message. I am still waiting for a call back! So, if you don't want your credit ruined stay away!!! Oh and I can prove I received no bill as i am signed up for informed delivery through the post office so I get an email with photos of everything being delivered. read more

Stupid protocols. I go in almost every year and have to answer the same questions every time. "Tell us all you past surgeries." I told you last time. We need you to tell us again. I guess it never occurs to somebody with a tiny brain that the correct question is "have you had a surgery since your last MRI on dd-mm-yyyy" What older person wants to recount all their surgeries? Suppose you were severally burned or had Crouzon's disorder. Do really want to remember the 50 surgeries you had to undergo everytime you have an MRI. Obviously they have to ask the first time, but it is shear laziness that has them doing it every time. read more

I have had a few MRI's and X-Ray's done here and I highly recommend Intermountain Medical Imaging. They have a couple locations in the Treasure Valley which is super handy. It is very easy to get an appointment. Usually with the hospital systems here you have to wait awhile for the scheduling department to call you then it might be a few weeks before you can get in. Not at IMI! I have literally been offered appointments the next day every single time. Let's talk about the wait time...there is none! I don't think I've waited more than two minutes in their waiting room. They always get me back very quickly and do their best to get the imaging done fast and painlessly. The staff here are also nothing but kind. Each staff member I have encountered are always cheery and personable. I have experienced very compassionate employees from the front desk to the radiology techs. Plus IMI is WAY cheaper than the hospital systems here in Boise. Skip getting your images done at St. Luke's or St. Al's. Have your doctor send orders here and you won't be sorry. read more

AVOID THIS BUSINESS. You and I, were not the type of people who would blindside someone with bill well into the thousands of dollars. We especially wouldn't do that sort of thing around Christmas. Even if we did, and it turned out to be in error, we would own up to our mistake and make it right. We're decent human beings, that's what we do. But, do you know who isn't? Intermountain Medical Imaging. Imtermountain Medical Imaging is so greedy and so eager to get "their" money that they can't be bothered to double check a bill before they send it out. Apparently their greed extends to all things. Call them repeatedly for weeks, and you'll just sit on hold. I guess paying someone to man the phones is too much. But, when someone does pick up, don't get your hopes up. After I finally talked to someone from the billing department, I found that Intermountain Medical Imaging doesn't actually expect you to pay your bill. No joke, the billing supervisor I spoke with said that despite the comical demands to pay my bill immediately printed all over the statement, she said 'no one pays immediately, people don't do that'. Through all of this Intermountain Medical Imaging has been aware of the situation, and NO ONE from the business has reached out to me. Intermountain Medical Imaging is not a professional organization. If you value your health and being treated with basic respect I would recommend that you stay as far away from Intermountain Medical Imaging as you can. Oh, also don't put much stock in the quality of their work either, that's pretty questionable as well. read more

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Front office staff was welcoming and kind. Facility as very clean. The person that completed my MRI was kind, knowledgeable, and explained everything that would take place. He checked in on me throughout he whole process through the headset they provided me with. My primary doctor ordered a X-ray from Intermountain Medical Imaging and they called me to make an appointment. They asked for my info including a phone number where I can be reached. I drove about 20 miles to my scheduled appointment. Once there I was told that their equipment was down. I asked why I wasn't called and told this before I wasted my time and gas getting to this scheduled appointment. The lady said because it broke down yesterday. What a joke this place is. read more

This place is completely disorganized, confusing, misinformed and completely chaotic. Disgusting lack if communication between Dr.s, office and here. OMG... I feel that because the severity of my disability I am taken advantage of. For three weeks I was in severe pain. My Doctor said they sent in the request for the ultrasound. Intermountain said there never a request. I was put into a highly dangerous situation. Nobody communicated to each other, not Intermountain with Doctor, or vise versa, I was made to feel completely incorrect, and disregarded Dr.s, office said that because Dr. has been so busy that he forgot to enter the order. Three weeks of gut wrenching pain and highly lame apology. PRIMARY HEALTH IS FAR MORE ORGANIZED. In February had 6 major seizures and coded. In Neuro-ICU at St. LUKES. Injury to right knee/leg from violence of seizures. On April 13th Ultrasound finally ordered asap, on 17th over 36cc taken out of knee. On 17th MRI ordered, over 6 calls/messages with Intermountain over MRI. I get there, no appointment for MRI. BUT, I can make one for an X-ray. O.k. fine. When I looked at X-ray it is beautiful. X-ray's sent to Dr.s, office on April 22 at 4:40, I watched, Dr.office said they never recieved them, again today at 10:15 am, the X-rays are again resent. Again all the confusion and no communication. Medicare and Medicaid/Blue Cross were just as confused by all this. MONIES WERE WASTED...WASTED BY REPEATED PROCEDURES...WASTED BY INADEQUATE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. read more

I visited this location twice with my husband as he dealt with a work related injury. From the get go the building is confusing. When you come through the main doors, there is no signage directing you to the immediate right, which is where the check in desks are for Intermountain Medical Imaging. We went into the lobby and to the elevators then realize we were in the wrong area and backtracked. A simple sign would have ended the confusion. The check in windows, access door and waiting area for Intermountain Medical Imaging are situated just outside of an access door for the hospital emergency room and also the entrance for the lab. I'm not sure what kind of a morning the staff member had experienced before we got there, but we found her to be short tempered with us- a strange experience when my husband and me are both gregarious and patient people. Once checked in, we waited for my husband to be called back for his procedure. Near large windows the waiting area is well lit, but cold, and the environment is kind of an oatmeal 'blah' in terms of color and design. Thankfully my husband reports that things on the other side of the door were much more friendly. The technicians explained things well and did what they could to keep him comfortable throughout the procedure. It's a shame that the first impression of this facility is so disappointing. On our second visit we found things much the same in terms of the lobby. Too too sad that people choosing to work with the public, especially in a medical situation can't find a away to be a bit more friendly. read more

My son was referred to Intermountain Medical Imaging for an Abdominal CT Scan. We were pleased that they could schedule him in the next morning. Not having Health Insurance, we were concerned about the cost, and were pleasantly surprised that if we paid our bill in full the day the Imaging was done, the cost would be $400.00! This is a horrible company. They refuse to bill the correct insurance company and will not help their patients at all. They bullied me into paying stating that they would send it to collections if I didn't pay the full amount when they were the ones who refused to submit the claim to the right insurance company even when I had the insurance company on the other line with me. read more

I have had 2 PET scans with them and a brain MRI and I think one other procedure. They were always able to schedule appointments for me within a reasonable amount of time, contacted my insurance company for approval, were clear on my pre-appointment procedures, and got the results to my Oncologist right away. The staff was always very friendly. Being very claustrophobic, they understood my need for a dose of a sedative and would check on me frequently during the procedures to help me through it. I live quite a distance from Meridian and the machine broke down the morning of my PET scan. I had already left my home but they called me right away to let me know and I was able to turn around and come home. It is not uncommon for the machines to go down. Although I had insurance, paying my portion of these procedures was very difficult for me as I have numerous other medical facilities that I have accrued high bills with due to my cancer care. Intermountain worked with me on a payment plan that worked for my budget and were very compassionate and understanding. I would recommend Intermountain to anyone in need of their services. read more

Biggest rip off ever, way overpriced! I went in for a CT scan which they told me would be about $1000. when I got my bill it was $2500 and that is what I have to pay out of my pocket. when nothing was found on the CT scan my doctor requested an MRI. so I went to an imaging place out in Caldwell which charged $420 cash I asked them if they do CT scans and they do and they said that a CT scan would be $400 cash I will never go there again and I will do everything I can to let everyone know that they are way too expensive and not willing to work or help you!!! so look around and don't go here!!!!! read more

I have to go to IMI many times over the years. It is the only imaging center I will use. The people are outstanding, like Jeff Wininger, the MRI Tech, Jana 24 (24 fav. needle size) the nurse, Danielle at the front desk and Jeff's look-a-like (no they are not related). I love this place.
