So great to have found Pasquale. My wife had driven up from LA to visit a friend's mother in the hospital but something weird happened and her check engine light came on and her engine started running rough. After she stopped and restarted the engine it seemed ok and the check engine light went off but I was concerned for her drive back to LA. I saw the great reviews here and called explaining the situation and Pasquale said even though he couldn't work on the car till the next day, he could check her car to make sure it was safe. So she drove her car over and he checked the codes and made sure it was safe for her to drive. When she asked about the bill, he said no charge. Who does this in today's world? Over the phone he was great and my wife said he was wonderful to her in person. She made it home safely and without worrying. Absolutely can't recommend Pasquale and International Auto repair enough! I had an exhaust manifold leak that could have easily cost 3 grand to fix with a potential complete replacement of the assembly required. Pasquale was able to take the assembly off and bring the manifold to a welder who was able to complete the repair and resolve the check engine issue at under half the cost I expected, with prompt repair, honest feedback along the way, superior communications to the customer. Fabulous mechanic.... Pasquale is one of the best. he got out vanagon on the road again and the vanagon hic-cup has gone away 99 % of the time. He is patient and through and takes his time to diagnose problem as they come up. He also has great local resources for muffler and exhaust repairs. There aren't enough good things to say about Pasquale Nappi and the International Auto Repair staff! It's hard to find a competent mechanic whom one can trust for quality repairs at reasonable cost but if you are within reasonable distance to his Oxnard shop don't hesitate to bring your vehicle to him. One of the remarkable things he did for one of my vehicles was to replace a very small gear in the Odometer of my 30 year old Volvo and also troubleshoot and repair an erratic speedometer error which no other mechanic could explain let alone repair! Another one of his feats was to replace a leaking oil plug with a valve so as to avoid lifting the engine out to replace the entire oil pan. He probably saved me over a $1K on these "out of the box" work arounds alone! I highly recommend Pasquale very much and would give him 10 stars if that was allowed! read more

I drive 40 minutes to go to Wilhelm. He is the last of the great German motor experts. There are other mechanics near me but there are none as good as Wilhelm. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND International Auto more than anything else because of his expertise. Pasquale was awesome. Explained clearly what he did, what the issues were and made minor repairs at no additional cost. He charged a quarter of what they charge at the dealership, no used parts either. Highly recommended for anyone with German cars. He even has the software to connect and clear faults with my VW. He did it as part of the inspection. Charged me $105 for the complete inspection and reset. The VW dealership in Ventura County wanted $360 just to clear the faults in the computer. He was thorough and informative when it came to any question I had concerning my VW. I left my vehicle feeling I had left it in safe hands and I had. The cost for repairs were reasonable. Afterwards he answered any question I had concerning "do's and don'ts" with the car. Moreover, he CALLED ME a week later to see how the car was running? Never in my life has a mechanic done that.
