Buying an engagement ring was a big step for me and my relationship. I knew little to nothing about jewelry, especially diamonds. Over a 4-month period, I've visited 6 different jewelers, and even made an impulsive decision and purchased an overpriced ring. I hate the feeling of being pressured to purchase something. I did not get that feeling from the associates at IDC. Instead, I was welcomed by a lovely lady named DENICE who was very patient and taught me everything that I know about diamonds. Combined with ALY, they were able to show me multiple rings that sparked my interest. Budget was a concern at first and they did their best to stay within it. Ok... Maybe more than their best. They actually went to other IDCs, and placed diamonds aside for me since I was able to find the perfect setting. JACK was willing to make the drives and was a true assist to Aly and Denice when they were out. The environment was calm and cool. We were all comedians at times. It helps with spending. My wife insisted on buying her engagement ring here. It was five years ago. The other day she noticed some roughness in the ring and went to IDC to have it looked at. They told her that the entire gold crown of the ring needed to be replaced! Total cost : $480. What kind of crap are they selling? She has to pick,it up next week. 07222025 my 71th. birthday.My husband 85 took me to IDC where we bought our engagement ring. I choose a .50 CTW Diamond Rosebud earing 14KW with mega back backing for $1495.00. The Mega backing is important to me. I was heaving second thought due to the over sized of the rose bud earring but it was the only one that has mega backing on it at that time. We purchased it anyway but before we left I was just not happy about it. I decided to approach the sales lady which she claimed she's the Store Manager. I requested a refunded but was denied the sales lady Yelitza Gagliarid just offered a extension of 45 days for refund saying they will call me prior to 45 days and that they should have more earrings with mega backing arriving due to Holidays approaching. Holiday's went by no one called. Oct 1,2025 we have a 10 mo old great grandbaby dropped off to us by dcf, due to this unexpected addition in our quite retiree life style I totally forgot all about it. ( our g- grandbaby is a blessing we are going to adopting her). Today Feb 9,2026 we went back to the store and spoke to Yelitza again, she will not let us speak to anyone but herself It is very sad and frustrating, she declined our request but she offered a Double Upgrade meaning I have to spend $2.990.00 in abled to exchanged. We left that store. This is a lesson learned for me about that store. I wished that the owner can see this and would help us but I am sure that he doesn't read small people like us complaining. I could not be more disappointed in a customer service experience. I truly cringe when I hear Keith on the radio, giving his sentiments of how the customer comes first. Right Keith, you should practice what you preach. There are many diamond and gold sources for me to purchase in. I will never enter an International Diamond Center again. Buyer beware. so they advertise they buy your jewelry and will pay top dollar. More than pawn shops. That was all untrue, they do not pay too dollar and you're better off going to a pawn shop in a decent area because from my experience they give you way more. This place drives me crazy. My husband got my engagement ring from here two years ago and the thing is GORGEOUS. But that's beside the point. When we went in to get the wedding bands last year the lady looks at our file and literally says out loud to me the price he paid for the engagement ring. Why would you think that is alright? I was shocked she did that. Then she puts my engagement ring on her ring finger and walks around the store with it while we are looking at bands. So weird. We literally just left the shop just now and once again I'm disappointed. We got our rings cleaned and then decided we would purchase a pair of earrings or something. But after the rings were cleaned, nobody made any effort to help us. We were standing at a display case for at least 5 minutes waiting. Eventually we just left. I went in to have my 25 year old diamond ring repaired. It had a slight crack in the band, and I thought the prongs needed to be retipped. I expected a very pricey estimate. The gentleman took the ring in the back. He came back a few minutes later. He buffed it out and cleaned it. He said the prongs were fine and didn't charge me. Wow, thanks for the honesty. Free sizing, appraisal, free diamond replacement for outside diamonds. About $45 for insurance for middle solitaire. I really recommend this store! They know their gems. First and foremast, the experience that I received from the staff at IDC in this location have been amazing. This is my first (and hopefully only) time that I seek to buy an engagement ring. I've been through multiple jewelry stores and comparing the staff, diamond, quality and experience here exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked into the store, I didn't feel like I was at a car dealership where the staff were trying to sell me a ring right away. Lillian was helpful, patient and informative in educating me about diamonds and providing me with options and time to make any formal decision. In the end, not only did I found the right ring setting and diamond, I found the right person and jeweler to build this lifetime relationship. I had customized a specific ring setting in December with the thought that it would be designed and arrived in time by end of January for the big day but there was a bit of delay, but Peggy, Lisa, Lillian and her staff worked their magic and got the ring and diamond in time for the trip to Hawaii. Been a customer for years, today went in and sales person very unhelpful and uninterested, I asked twice to look at their order catalogue as they didn't have what I wanted, he hovered over me the whole time whilst I was looking without offering any help, I guess because I wanted to use my gift certificates and wouldn't be paying with real $ he didn't want to spend the time. We recently shopped around for an diamond engagement ring (an upgrade) and it was our first visit to an IDC location, we live in the Dr Phillips area so it was close by. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly staff who offered us waters and big smiles. We also had our 2 little ones with us (1 year old / 5 years old). As we were looking at rings/diamonds our little ones were getting restless. One of the staff members came over and starting playing with our little ones successfully distracting them distracting us from our experience. We worked with with Adelina and also the manager who were both incredibly professional. We spent about 1.5 hours looking around for the perfect diamond and finally found it. I would HIGHLY recommend this store (location) for someone searching for the perfect diamond ring. They have a incredible selection and i was impressed, usually i'm not impressed very easily but we walked away very happy customers. We have been contacted by the location 2 times (nice card in the mail and phone call) since our purchase to make sure we were happy with everything and that speaks wonders about a business. I had great experience at IDC at the park ave location but the lady that was sales person is longer there so I wanted to try out this location. I had to replace my engagement ring so I decided to give this place a chance. Cristina was my sales lady. She was nice and offer me the cc option. I did get approve so I chose tacori setting. I also brought in my diamond to place as my center diamond for the ring. When I did get approve for the cc, I felt all the they care was that process being done. The manager was hovering the whole thing and I only felt that Cristina should be the only one should handle that part not his. He had this bad attitude and 0 costumer service attitude, I know you are the manger but have some manners. I'm spending 7k for a setting so I'm not low balling or anything. At the park ave location they made sure that the center diamond I was buying will be what I will receive when I pick it up. Here Cristina just cared my cc being approve and rush me to pay for it and leave. I had to call and beg for her to size my Diamond so that it protects me and the company. I don't want any accident about my diamond being switch. When I came there the jeweler took out the diamond from my previous ring without me there (we discussed that I would be there when he removes it) and Cristina sized it but didn't even put a cloth under the diamond and scraped it across the table. I was shocked. I'm really disappointed with this place. I am picking it up this Friday and I don't even feel like I want to. Uneasy about this place. Please don't go to this place! They need clean house especially that Manger, who doesn't even greet or smiles at you. read more
