I got another Interstate Battery (IB) at the Avondale Costco at 99th & McDowell. I've had nothing but good performance out of my IB's in the past. Last one was an AGM and ran almost 10 years. I have a couple of vehicles which include a motorcycle and RV and I do pay a lot of attention to my batteries; keep them fully charged with a charging tender and a couple times a year, run a desulfation cycle. IB is all over the country if you need any service and for me highly recommended. read more

My friend from work had a drained/dead battery. I drove to her house and gave her a jump start. We then drove down here to get a new one. She recently purchased the car and the dude who sold it to her said that he just bought a new battery and that if there was any problem with it, it would still be under warranty and take it to this shop and they should be able to exchange it. We get down here and find out that her battery is over 10 years old and is completely dead! She decided to get a used battery for the time being just so that her car would operate properly until she sorted out the issue with the seller of the car. Long story short, the guys at Interstate were freaking awesome! Sammy and some other young kid (didn't catch his name..my bad) were extremely helpful and friendly. They tested the battery, had someone else take a look at it for a second opinion, sold her the new battery and even installed it for her out in the parking lot! The whole time, we were joking around and talking about Phoenix and life in general. Shit...they even hooked us both up with free bottles of water while we waited. They provided excellent customer service and were very personable the whole visit through. Even though I was just a 3rd party observing all of this, I could tell right away that this shop is legit. If I ever need a new car battery, I will probably head here to get one solely based off the great service received from Sammy and his coworker. Great job fellas! read more

I get penalized for being honest that I inherited this truck with 30 month battery from my grandma and you totally make the warrant void? My battery died on Saturday. Drove 40 miles to this store and they are closed Saturday and Sunday. Battery was dead. Drove to Surprise Ford and they tested battery and agreed it was bad. Bought new battery. Called this store and they said battery guarantee was for battery replacement only, no refunds. Called corporate and after sending documents they are refunding purchase price. Too bad local store doesn't handle warranty better. Very disappointed. read more

After leaving the car dealership where I purchased my Cadillac and quoted what I believe to be a very unreasonable price to replace my battery, I came to Interstate batteries on 91st avenue in Peoria. Craig walked me thru the different batteries available for my Cadillac XTS and explained the difference between them. Craig gave me all the information I needed to make the best decision for me and my car. A new battery does not make a car faster nor does it make people go wow but it is a necessity to keep it running, so spending money on a battery it's not what I look forward to but Craig made that process as least painful as possible and actually made me feel good about the decision I made to go with the battery he suggested. I've never given a review to any business as bad as this one - and they earned it - Interstate Batteries located in Peoria. I do business with 50 + businesses annually in Arizona. Never had I experienced FLAT OUT DECEPTION LIKE THIS. These people are THE WORST. WARNING!! In Summary: - Putting present dates (those little round stickers you see on top of batteries) on old batteries. After telling me in the previous conversation the batteries were over a year old I asked why did you put this months sticker and telling me they are new? - Refusing to honor the Warrantee even though they admitted they had consistant trouble with the batteries I was using. - Refusing to refund - Never returning calls (or "the manager's not here today"...) - Refusing to give me upper management contact Information COSTCO is now the first stop for batteries. You will never get conned and ripped off like this franchised Interstate Battery store. read more

I would recommend this store for anyone with battery needs. I went in there today with an Interstate Battery from a new trailer I purchased in February of 2018. The battery had not worked properly since we bought the trailer.and apparently was a battery that was made in 2017 ( trailer is a new 2018) My RV dealer gave me the run around on it and I thought for sure I would have to purchase a new battery . They tested my battery and found it had a dead cell and swapped it out free of charge with absolutely zero hassle. I will take my business here from now on .Thank you ! read more

No help at all. I brought in a deep cycle and a atv battery to them and they could not tell me if either was good. You have one job! You sell and service batteries! Ill stick with Walmart..at least they know they dont know anything and much cheaper. read more

I called ahead to see if they had the battery that I needed. David answered the phone and said, let me look up the battery I needed. He confirmed that the battery I needed would fit, and that he had it in stock. He quoted me the price and I said I would be in soon to pick it up. I arrived and was greeted politely by David. He went in the back and brought out the battery I wanted. He asked if I wanted it installed? I said if I can borrow a socket I can do it myself. David gave me the socket and followed me outside. He helped me install the new battery. They normally charge an install fee, but he waived it. I offered to pay the fee, he just smiled and shook my hand instead! Great place, great staff! I highly recommend this place and interstate batteries. I have used interstate batteries in -40 weather as well as 115! They have never let me down in extreme cold or heat! Thanks again! read more

I was in and out in mere minutes and the folks I talked to both on the phone and in person were extremely helpful and friendly. First time customer to Interstate, bad experience will mean I am not going back unless to return a used battery. I called ahead and let the associate know what year make and model my vehicle was, they said the battery would cost $99. I showed up, after driving 30 min across town. Place was dead, looked like they had never seen a customer. There was a guy sitting down behind a window to the right as I walked in, I waved and waited for him to come around. He stepped through the double doors with another guy, who must of been a "trainee" because he didn't seem to confident in his knowledge and kept asking the other guy questions. I didn't mind this, no biggy... then they decided I needed a model "75" battery. The first guy went back into the cubicle and left me with the second guy, FYI he's about 6'1" red hair and moustache. He says "ok, we have the battery, it is $128.00." I didn't bring up the fact that I was 99% sure this was the person I spoke to on the phone who had quoted me at $99, or that I had driven an extra 30min out of my way. I just said, "that's more then Autozone charges, they want $120.00 in fact." He says "then go there and get your battery, they don't have the warranties we do." Ignoring that he was being rude I said "well that doesn't work for me because I am going to sell this vehicle right away." He says "then just buy a used one." So I decided to go with that, now being that I sell A LOT of old classic cars and was hoping to do business with this place I figured lets test the water. I noticed that they are selling little "Minion" movie toys. I have a two year old daughter who looooves minions. There was a little coin purse with one of the characters on the front. I noticed that they were only two bucks, so I say "hey can you throw in one of the toys here with the purchase of the battery?" He says "WHAT? NO, YOU CAN IF YOU PAY TWO DOLLARS FOR IT!" I said "ok, ok", and put my hands up waiting for this guy to just flip... I decided let me pay for this, it has a 90 day warranty and hopefully I never have to see these jokers again. Worst possible experience at a specialty store of that nature EVER. I don't recommend any one go there.
