I would avoid this credit union like the plague if I were you. I've been a customer for over 25 years, since it was the EDS credit union. I've had a car loan with them for the past 14 months and they're supposed to do a simple deduction from my savings account there to make my loan payments. Out of the 14 payments made on my loan to date, they've gotten two correct and that's only because I went into the office to get them to do it right. I actually had to go in three time to get them to understand the loan agreement they wrote and to make the transfers properly. These people are clueless!!! They can't even seem to process a simple mail deposit correctly! Everything is done manually and the people they have doing the work are apparently graduates of the sixth grade. I don't think they ever got to junior high. Time for ITCU to get into the 21st century!!! read more

My car loan was due and paid it a week after the due date now mind you it's a 15 day grace period! They took out a few days later and charged me a late fee due to me "being late" because when I made my payment on it was on a Friday the day before the weekend and so I was charged 22.44 late fee for THEIR slow proces!! I was contacted by a representative about refinancing a car loan. I agreed to going through the application process, it never hurts to check to see if you can get a better deal. I was handed off to someone from their Dallas office and the first conversation with that team was indication that this was going to be an unpleasant interaction. The guy tried to make me feel that I should be privilege to give them my business. My credentials makes me well qualified for a car loan, I knew that going into this. The Dallas team simply made me feel less than a person. It was as if they didn't want to work with a black man. They were looking for every reason not to give me a loan so I withdrew my application. That being said, I have other products with them and has never been late on any payments. Purchasing a home was easier than going through this car refi process. read more

Do not take you business to this place. Seniors are charged $7.50 a month for a checking account. There are no physical tellers. My money got stuck in the machine and I have yet to get it back. Even if you have just a question you must make an appointment and there are only 1 or 2 reps in the building. Very frustrated with this company. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Been with this bank now for 3 plus years even have a truck financed through them and this is by far the worst bank I've ever dealt with and I though Wells Fargo was bad. As of a month or so ago you can no longer get anyone on the phone if you have an issue anytime day or night even the call center says leave a message and we will call you back and that never happens. The worst banking institution ever! I can't believe we banked with them as a business for almost 10 years and now there are automated tellers, there's nothing personal about it, and we have had so many issues since 2017. Now we have decided it was time to change after noticing a check should have cleared but because we were doing transactions within a time period that a check was presented they "didn't honor it". Mind you, there were available funds to cover the amount. We did two deposits and one withdraw. Then they decide to put a hold on a check we deposited, nowhere can we see this online until we noticed we may be short for ACH's that are coming out. A VERY VERY terrible thing when you are paying taxes! Lastly, it is ridiculous to always have a 4 digit pin to login, which means you have to tie it personally to someones phone to get a text or have a phone near you just to login in. Additionally, you can only do shared branch transactions on certain days. I found this out when I walked in to do one and was told this information ontop of " You're not a member, the business is." Really? Too much and too complicated for simple services. Update: 1/31/20 Still have not received a call for a follow-up, and the same thing happened again. We do not ask for fees to be removed regularly, but the one time we ask for this request it's the classic answer of "it wasn't a banking error" . Systems can have issues, and as a long time customer, I would have thought they would have at least cared more about our business. read more

I would strongly suggest to not use this credit union as your financial institution. The fees are terrible and they wouldn't even waive a fee even though I've been a member for 8 years and have never bounced a check before. When I talk to some of the employees, they are not very happy with management and the way they are being treated. I've heard they have fired wonderful employees over little things just to get rid of the credit union employees from credit unions they have merged with. They don't offer remote deposit of checks from your smartphone - they are still old school. I keep hearing the commercial on Dave Ramsey and want to throw up every time I hear him talk about the Credit Union. If only Dave Ramsey knew what kind of credit union this place really is. If you are a current member, get out now and go to another credit union. You can still just use them as a shared services bank. Don't trust this credit union! read more

I "lost my wallet" and called in and was able to speak to Victoria Reese! She was amazing! She stayed on the phone with me the whole time and walked me thru the process as I was freaking out! She put a hold on EVEYTHING and she even went back to double check things were being done properly! I woke up this morning to find my wallet was not in fact lost but in the garage (who knew)! I immediately sent her a secure email and asked her to call everything off and to contact me! She did all the above and saved me allot of time changing having to change all my info with the many places this account is linked to. She was patient and very kind. I called back and spoke with Kayla Duncan today and she assured me again that all was a go on my account! Online service is really drive through service and should be drive through in walk in. Support inside wait time for an attendant is 3x as long as other banks and you rarely see the same person twice. I have lived in my city for 20 years and banked there for long time at the neighborhood bank. They've never had the neighborhood feel due to the turnover. Closing the account today and hope other banks don't go this direction. Customers do still appreciate the personal attention and when your bank is in the neighborhood, knowing your banker and representatives is still in!! read more

I've been a customer for 15 years. My wife for over 20, and we recommended ITCU to our daughter. They changed their on-line system and I have had to call them 4 times just to log in.. Each time creating a new password. I get off the phone, go to log in with the new password and am locked out...again. I have called and complained and went to a brick and mortar location and was greeted by two of the rudest people I've ever encountered at ITCU. Add to that the ITCU is automating with auto tellers to get rid of people who need their job just to pad the pockets of TTCU executives. Obviously caring for people is not big for this company. We will be moving to another, more accessible and customer-centric bank at the first opportunity. A not-so-funny aside: Minutes after going through the call process for the third time (after being caller 94 and waiting for 40+ minutes to talk to someone) I received a call from ITCU. Silly me thinking it was a call to apologize and let me know they are working hard to fix their system. The girl never mentioned it as she tried to sell me other financial products at ITCU. Not a way to keep customers and certainly no way to treat loyal customers. Stay away from this second-rate bank. read more

We were with ITCU for over 10 years. Had 2 auto loans, HELOC, loc, checking with direct deposit (city of McKinney), and savings. Things have drastically gone downhill over the past year with all the changes including increased fees for checking, overdraft, and higher interest rates on revolving credit (when competitors were lower). This past year I was consistently depositing checks and having 7 day holds placed on the checks. I went into a branch in Frisco once and asked if they could do a 3 day instead of 7 day hold so I was on their "phone" and had to go back and forth with the rude branch manager. I was literally in this office for an hour and a half! Who has that kind of time to go back and forth from teller to branch manager for a hold issue. I feel like there's no privacy in announcing my business to a screen in front of anyone and everyone in the branch and then the service I get is awful. We had it! Refinanced all our loans and took our direct deposit to RBFCU. Very happy with our new credit union who does business the RIGHT way! read more

Note, however, that if you use a financial tracking/reporting application like Mint, InTouch does not allow integration between their systems and Mint. HORRIBLE ... I have a business account, which has been screwed up a couple of times... they were "sending me a new card" after mine was compromised. I called after a week (they had to "mail" it) and they said they didn't even order it. Then they sent two cards with different info on each. Personal account... they sent us a letter saying we changed our address (we did not). I've been on the phone for 2 hours speaking with the third-party card company- twice, the "customer-care" center (which I thought was the branch, but when you call the branch, you get put on hold for 1/2 hr. and get these idiots. They are rude and ignorant, and of little help. Choose someone else. read more

I just went to co sign for a friend to buy a car. And i have never heard of anyone with a job and income in around 75K being rejected for a loan for 16k. I have credit cards at around 60K this guys dident approve me. WOOOOOW. I have never had anything like this. This is my first time being denied for anything. The underwriter said because i dont have any house loans. What a douche if he would've looked deepper he would've seen that i have my house paid off. Dont waste your time with this guys. Worst! manual process, bad service, requires constant follow up....

I have been a member of In Touch Credit Union since March of 1985 when I was an Employee of Electronic Data Systems. Back then the Credit Union was called EDSEFCU, it was rebranded to In Touch Credit Union in 2010. I worked for Cunadata, which was the Credit Union data processing arm of EDS, this branch sold Data Processing services to other Credit Unions Nation wide and also provided Data Processing for the EDS Employees Federal Credit Union. Many of the changes this Credit Union has made over the years have not been favorable. They have recently gone to an ATM system at the Branch bank where there are no tellers to work with when a problem is encountered. There is a teller you can speak with who is remote to the location when you encounter a problem. However, I have encountered a couple of issues with their ATM system that a teller can't help with. One example (This has happened to me two times recently) is I deposited a check through the ATM and the ATM could not read the writing on the check to determine the $500 amount. They don't allow you to make a manual correction at the ATM, rather they require you to park your car and go inside the Branch to try the ATM inside. The ATM inside did successfully read the check (Both Times), so it seems the Branch needs to replace the drive up ATM outside. One other thing they have done recently is eliminate acceptance of Coins. I have saved my change in a large jar for years and even instilled this practice in my daughter. I recently took $40 of coins to the branch, only to find they no longer take coins, but one of the Branch people suggested I go to one of the Walmart locations and pay a 10% handling fee to process my coins. (If I am going to go to the trouble to count and roll the coins, I am not going to pay a fee to process them). I have had good and bad service over the years with this Credit Union, I am not sure I am done with them as yet, because it is a pain to change from one Financial Institution to another, but I am in the Camp of not liking many of the changes this Credit Union provides at the present time. read more

This credit union used to be a great place to do business....when it was EDS Credit Union. Since then, they have closed local branches and shared services will not always accept deposit. I am now left with traveling at minimum 35 miles to make a deposit or do some other type of face to face business. Today, a repetitive issue occurred in which accounts had a withdrawal made for a Bill Pay Service fee that ITCU is aware impacted every customer per the person I spoke with. Once again, they've done nothing proactive although they knew about the problem and the fact that they withdrawal was made 4 days ago. I asked why they didn't send a proactive notice out to customer rather than having each individual call in and wait on the phone for an extended period and I got a runaround. I was told another department had to correct the issue, etc but what do I care? As the client I carefully watch my funds to the penney so don't appreciate the repetitive 'system' problems. I certainly don't understand why this group of supposed professionals can't take a proactive approach to customer information. I certainly get enough sales calls and sales emails for their products. I have no plans to add any other business to ITCU since they can't even keep accurate track of my current accounts and aren't customer service friendly. read more

If I could leave 0 stars as a review, I would. This institution is absolutely terrible, and is a joke of a bank. The help line people are rude, do not call back when they say they will, and have hung up on me on multiple occasions. Some may see the following as a plus, but I see it as a major disadvantage: I have been living in multiple cities and states over the past 7 years and always make sure to notify the bank when I am moving or traveling somewhere new, but nearly every time I have traveled or moved somewhere new the bank's system automatically thinks that this is 'fraud' and will hold all of my cards and accounts. This is incredibly infuriating, as I always make sure to put a travel notification on my card and it still doesn't seem to work. This bank has caused more stress and hassle on me than anything else in my life. Extremely incompetent in every single way. read more

I've been a member since 2013, and they only reason I continue to be a member is because I need access to a bank that has branches locally. Their software conversion was poorly executed, and I ended up locked out of the online portal for about a month. When I changed jobs, I set up direct deposit with another institution. After that I found out that they would charge me every month just to keep money in the account. Really?? Also, beware of other add-ons that you might be getting charged for without realizing. It's normally just a couple dollars, but over time - it adds up! Their employees are nice enough, but their company policies stink. read more

After decades with this credit union, it's time for me to go. They have replaced the local tellers with a remote one, on a monitor. You have no way of knowing how long the wait is to get your remote teller. You also have to endure a sales pitch for whatever program they are pushing. It's unpleasant to go there now. I needed to get a cashiers check from a shared CU. Entered the bank and was immediately greeted by an employee. It felt like they were heading us off instead of making us feel welcome. I was directed to the table to fill out the slip for the cashiers check then my husband was asked to remove his baseball cap, for security purposes. Seriously?! I'm quite sure the cameras got a great shot in every direction as we entered. I felt very uncomfortable, like I was being watched like a criminal. The person who came out to issue the cashiers check was friendly but almost like they were trying too hard to be friendly. It was the strangest experience I have ever had in a bank. Not to mention the charge for a cashiers check was also the most I've never paid anywhere using shared banking. I won't be returning, it just felt uncomfortable. read more

After 38 years of banking this is one of the most terrible and worst customer service oriented credit unions I have ever dealt with. The employees along with their supervision and their management should really feel ashamed!!!! I love the new kiosks! I can just drive through and talk to a customer service rep right away. Often when I dealt with customer service agents in the past, there were other distractions, or interruptions. With the new kiosk, I have the cs reps undivided attention and the transaction is handled smoothly and much more quickly. Change can be a good thing! By far the worst experience! I am a business executive in the Las Vegas, NV area and just a little over two years ago financed my automobile with InTouch. I have remained a good customer by paying my payments in full each month since the beginning of the loan. I recently called in (as usual) to make my monthly payment and was told I would be charged a $10 fee to make my payment over the phone and online. I asked how I can avoid that fee and they recommended either visiting a branch (not convenient for me as there are only two locations and both are a far distance and, they are only open from 9am - 5pm which are my same business hours) or setting-up auto withdraw which I would have to do at a branch as well. I sucked it up and paid the $10 fee, paid my payment and within days visited a local branch to complete the withdraw request form. I was told at the branch that I would need to call or come in to make the next payment as it would take time to get my withdraw request completed. I made 1 more payment through the customer service phone line (paid the $10 fee) and expected (as I was told) that the next payment would be auto deducted from my account (I bank with another institution). Fast forward a month later, I get an alert from my credit monitoring app that I had a 30 day late payment post to my credit profile with the three credit bureaus. I immediately contacted InTouch to find out why I was reported 30 days late (has never happened to me), they explained that the previous months payment wasn't made. I explained that I had completed my end of the instruction that was provided to me and asked if it could be removed because it was their error. She was able to locate the notes that I completed the form and stated that it could be corrected but it had to be done by a manager. She said a manager would call me back - never happened. I have called several times speaking with several customer service reps and finally after demanding a manager, I received a call today from the customer service branch manager, Jeff. He immediately began by telling me in other words, there is nothing they will do (I should've called to ensure they did their job!) so I requested to speak with his superior. I later received a call from his manager and to sum this up...he confirmed that he will do nothing to help! I will be looking to refinance my car with another institute and will NEVER recommend anyone to do business with these folks. read more

Wow stay far away from this credit union.. check all bad Google reviews!. I have had the worst experience ever from any bank or credit union. Their excuse for having placed an enormous amount of forced placed insurance as they call it of over $1,000 a month for two and a half months was " they are too big to pick up the phone" and let me know that my new truck did not have insurance and back charge me for for 2.5 months of $2300. Wow really. Customer service is horrible. As soon as I found out I forgot to get insurance it cost me $65 a month. They wrecked my credit and I never missed a regular payment. In fact I have not had anything negative on my credit for over 20 years till this bogus company. All they had to do was pick up phone like largest credit Union in world NFCU does and talk to there customers. They offer low interest rate thru car dealerships don't do it! read more

Online banking, told that if we linked our accounts (husband & wife) we could transfer funds between accounts to included IRA's. Paid $60 to have documents notarized, sent them in, only to find our this was FALSE. Now, I am on the phone for the second day, trying to get someone to send me that documents needed to transfer funds from savings to IRA. What a pain. read more

The credit union did put us through the worst "upgrade" implementation I have ever experienced. A few weeks ago, I had to call to get access to my online banking. It worked for two weeks. Tonight, I cannot access it again, used the correct password, which it did not like, followed the instructions to reset the password. Customer service is out until Monday. I've banked here since 1988, and I am leaving. Truly the worst, and it used to be the best. Interface is totally ugly, not user friendly, not robust, not in the customer's interest at all. Looks like they went with some cheap system integrator who works out of their garage. read more

I have been a member since 2009 and my apartment complex says that my rent check was returned. I call the 1-800 member service number because my apartment manager says if they can get a letter stating the check wasn't returned(ITCU not showing check has been processed) and there were sufficient funds available, they would waive the fees and I could just get pay what was due at on the 1st. I was told they can't write such a letter, so now I have to pay the late fees. read more

I've been a member since this was EDSFCU, with good service. I live in the Austin area. Now, it takes a call off my prepaid phone every time I sign in and it logs me out because I'm not fast enough--had hand surgery. When I inquired about that after the update, I received the answer that the most people are catered to, and, sorry, too bad for the few. I opened a bank account in the vicinity, and am in process of saying "good bye, and good luck" to InTouch. This is NOT serving the members! read more

Good riddance...After almost 25 years with EDSFCU/ITCU, the wife and I just could not deal with the bad service, the ever increasing fees and those ridiculous service kiosks any more. There are plenty of other Credit Unions out there that offer great service and products without charging for it. Free checking, free online banking, online check deposit, coin counting and depositing, etc. etc. are offered by many reputable CUs. Do your research and you will find that what ITCU offers is one of the worst deals in the credit union business here in North Texas. read more

This used to be a good credit union however now for me is a one star rating. I called to stop payment on a check and the rep said that they could not do this over the phone. I needed to go online and submit a request. She said it would take three business days. I went on line with her on the line and she stated pick the first link. So I did and after submitting the form it said to call back to the credit union. I called and spoke to a wonderful person and she said no you don`t need to do the online form and that she would take care of it over the phone. Go figure!! so she stopped payment and behold they withdrew a $30 fee from both my checking and savings accounts. Nice!! I called back and they promptly removed the fee from my savings. All set?? Wrong!! The check that I stopped payment on cleared. We will see what they say when I call back. Good job In Touch Credit union. read more

Had been a very happy customer until the recent account changes. I can understand the need to charge more fees if needed, but InTouch is making its customers change their account numbers! This means the customer has to order new checks, change payment credit cards accounts, electronic deposts, and numerous other electronic accounts. It's just like changing banks, which is a HUGE hassel! Am extremely disappointed in InTouch and do NOT recommend them as a place to do business with. I am pLanning on changing banks sometime this year, as they have lost my trust. read more

I would not recommend them for auto loans. I paid off my loan over three weeks ago and have yet to receive my title. I even paid additional for 2 day shipping and no title. Spent many hours on the phone with customer service and no one seems to know what is going on. Very dissatisfied. read more
