It's been a month since I met him but I was very impressed with Alfredo. I had sent him a request for a quote, and he called back the same day to make an appointment. Alfredo was easy to talk to and was able to answer all of my questions. The quote that he gave me was very competitive and he explained what all the quote entailed. Some of his competitors called me and asked for the dimensions of the work so they could send me a quote. Anyone who chooses to use those vendors is taking the huge risk of getting an incomplete or inaccurate quote because there can be nuances that professionals may recognize that the "typical" homeowner would not. Alfredo and his team did a really good job for me on my driveway. I needed a part of the slab replaced. When my property was built in the '60s, the way that concrete was poured wasn't nearly as good as it is now. So it was really nice to have Alfredo's team do this properly for me. They prepared the foundation, the rock, the rebar, the structures. I thought it was also cool that Alfredo had a type of concrete truck come out where the concrete comes out fresh. We worked with Alfredo and the team on a large backyard renovation, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly! I was nervous about a large project since I had found them on Yelp but the reviews don't lie. We needed a drainage solution in our backyard to prevent water damage, and they were competitively priced. The project involved tearing out existing concrete, waterproofing along the foundation of our home, installing French drains that tied into our existing gutters, grading the drainage away from the house, and the redoing the concrete with a stamped pattern that turned out really great. It looks like pavers but at a cheaper cost. Alfredo is so easy to work with and communicated with us every step of the way. He anticipated several other things along the way like moving an electrical outlet and adding a line for future drip irrigation that I super appreciated. These guys are the BEST!. We had some drainage problems on the concrete sidewalk on the side of our house which was causing water to get into one of the walls. The water was pooling against the house when it rained. We knew that to fix the problem we needed for the water to flow down the sidewalk towards the street. We were sure of that. We had other contractors come out and their solution was to put in a new sidewalk so the the water would flow down the sidewalk to the street with gravity. This is exactly what we wanted BUT these guys game out and evaluated our drainage problem and instead recommended we put a drain pipe under the side walk. This pipe has three of our downspouts that drain directly into into it. Plus they put two drains with grates in the middle of the walkway so even surface water that falls on the sidewalk drain into these grates into the pipe. We have almost no water flowing on the sidewalk that in a hard rain might soak our shoes. They were a little more expensive but they did a whole lot more. You can't go wrong we this company. If I have any concrete work done in the future this is where I will go. read more

The city flagged our residence for an uneven sidewalk, being busted up by overgrown tree roots. A repair deadline was imposed. We were provided with a list of city-sanctioned contractors. We also solicited personal recommendations. Leyva Concrete stood out from all the rest. Alfredo responded immediately, communicated the process clearly, offered a competitive quote, and was able to scheduled the repair within days. The well-staffed unit made an on-time morning arrival, worked diligently, and were respectful of our premises. As demolition of concrete began, I left to run an errand and do a gym workout. Upon my return, Leyva Concrete had already poured the cement and were smoothing out the finish. Shortly after noon, the job was done and drying. Area was all cleaned up. Quality execution ensured a seamless replacement. The new section of sidewalk passed city inspection. Today, months later, the sidewalk has cured well and looks great - not a fracture or crack in sight. Best of all, the improved fung shui brought on by the repair also improved the balance in my soul.
