Played pickleball in the area, and definitely needed a cold beverage afterwards! We got lucky with front row street parking, but I'm guessing on busier evenings, you may need to street park a ways away! The space itself is a fun nod to some of the Northern Minnesota lakefront bars, which gives you a sense of chill, nautical vacation. Plenty of seating for small and large groups, although it is split between two rooms. The service was quick and friendly during our visit! The beer selection was diverse with the normal expectations/classics, but also some fun seasonal twists for the adventure seekers! I had the Personal Flirtation DeWeisse, which was their fruity sour. Tart, sour, and unique. I thought it was the perfect refreshing summer sipper! Others in my party tried the Coffee Blonde, which had a great light coffee flavor to compliment the lighter body of the beer itself. Would absolutely come back when in the area!! read more

We went to support my friends food truck pop up at this brewery. Nice and roomy, they have furniture from the boats for seating. The one room is the bar area and the other big room with the fire pit and jugs in the ceiling. Order drinks at the bar, they have beer, ciders, pizza, and pull tabs. Sit anywhere you like and a staff member will come around to pick up empty cups and garbage. I tried the blue raspberry seltzer, it was pretty good. Tastes like blue jolly rancher. read more

(No peanut butter porter has come remotely close to their heavenly concoction) - still love the place! The design is brilliant. Grab your friends and head in for a brew or two & hit the food truck (bbq today) We made the mistake of overeating before heading in this time. We were sluggish & unenthusiastic, a real disservice to the establishment. As such, we'll head back in next time we're in town... Another visit to use our pubpass. They have a nice deck and sidewalk tables. We enjoyed our beers outside with our grand pups on a beautiful October afternoon. I had the Impersonator - Dopplebock. It's a dark, potent beer that was tasty. They had dog water dishes for the pups. Brother's Gutierrez was the food truck. We just wanted a snack and I asked for chips and salsa which wasn't on the menu but they gave us something much better. The chips were warmed and served with 2 cups of guacamole, a cup of pico, and a cup of melted cheese. Perfect. Great stop and a perfect to afternoon to soak up the sun outside. read more

The furthest from us in our @pubpassmsp @pubpass was @boathouse_bros. Well worth the drive. The seats are boat seats!! Lots of boating decor and you can't help but smile at all the decorations. They have a full pontoon seating on their patio. My fav part was the beer taps were floating boat keychains. Beer was tasty too but ambience definitely made this a great visit!! They occasional have food trucks outside in front but I did notice they have frozen pizzas as well! read more

Inaugural visit yesterday. Was greeted by Scott and Emmett, friendly fellows!! I told them the Giesenbrau assistant brewer had recommended the Birthday Cake Cream Ale and the Maelstrom DIPA. Scott promptly poured me a taster of the DIPA, and... it was delicious!! A higher ABV than I was looking for so they asked if I liked coffee beers? I was steered to the delicious Run-A-Gound. I had a pint of that and the Spiral collab Birthday Cake Cream Ale, both were palate-perfect delicious!! Noticing the floatable keychain taps and the boat seat I was sitting on I told Emmett I love when there's a theme and you run w it!! It was a 50* day so the garage doors were open, making it a comfortable visit. As it got later, quitting time, the brewery quickly filled up w friendly folks!! I really enjoyed every aspect of my visit; the friendly owner& staff, cool patrons, delicious beer and the space was just so comfortable! Street parking was easy. Looking forward to a future visit when I will have a flight or two to try the rest of the offerings! They have a seltzer w several different flavorings, from raspberry to mojito. My wife and I drove 25 minutes south of Minneapolis to Prior Lake and this good sized restaurant is right on Main Street. There was also a bustling Farmer's Market going on. We sat near an open window, due to the virus and I ordered an IPA. Great IPA chosen off a great selection of beers. We chatted some more, and my wife made an Italian meat and cheese board, which paired beautifully with the hoppy beer. My last beer was an Oatmeal Cookie Porter. Very different than the IPA, but equally as good. There is a nature reserve we walked around for about an hour that helped burn some calories as well. Cool brewery in Prior Lake! read more

This place deserves five stars! We walked in and immediately the staff greeted us with friendliness and was attentive, patient and helpful. He made us feel like we belonged in this quaint, neighborhood brewery. If I lived in Prior Lake, I'd def frequent this place often! It's a laid back sea coast/lake vibe. I almost felt like the ocean could be right out the door, alas it's a frozen lake albeit beautiful! I got the flight of six and really glad I did! Sometimes it's hard to tell what will be a fave until we try them all! They had IPA, sour beer, lagers and dark beer. As a fan of dark beer, my two absolute faves were Doctor Punch and Base Porter by far. Decadently delicious! read more

What a cool and fun place! They beer was great, and there were quite a few options to choose from. The night I went (a thursday) there was live music, which was excellent! We were at the bar inside, but there is also outdoor seating. If hungry, most nights they seem to have a food truck out front. When there isn't a food truck they have pizza options available...nothing fancy, i think just frozen pizzas...but what else could you need? Great beer, great ambiance, love music...such a cool place. read more

Great new venue, love the atmosphere. There cream ale was really good one of the best in a while. There blonde ale has a cigarette after taste I was not a fan. But the bartenders were very nice and helpful. No problem with tasting which is nice. Lots of space for people you'll have to check it out for yourself. read more

This is the third time I've been here. The first time with my mom and cousin. Joe the beertender has a great sense of humor and provides many free samples. I tip him well. Today Kevin, the owner supported Apple Valley Baseball Booster Club with a growler and fill for an event. Thanks again. My favorites here are Octoberfest, Thermocline Cream Ale and Limocline Cream Lager and Kolsch. Today was girl scout day and the Peanut Butter one was also good. My cousin brought her 2 kids and they had sodas. We moved to this lounge area which was converted pontoon cushion seating how rad. As it was girl scout cookie sale day there were families with kids and I played connect four and bean bag toss with the kids. It was nice to catch up and visit with our cousin. This was her first time here and she said she'll be back. In warmer months the windows and garage doors will be open. Now if Prior Lake will just let them allow dogs. They won't fill your growler unless it's theirs. They will collect any growler and exchange it for theirs. It has a cool logo of a boat propeller on it. read more

Great spot in AV! I stopped here for some beers with my parents and there was a ton of seating and different areas where you could hang out. The vibe is good and it's pretty close to the water. I think you should give it a shot if you are looking for good beer and vibes. read more

I was really hoping for another hangout in Prior Lake, and I want to see businesses do well, but I struggled to get even one beer down. I have been twice and tried 6 of the beers, they felt flat and most tasted the same. Now I love good IPAs, with high IBUs, but even these were too bitter for me! Maybe beers will improve as they get more established, but for now, I will have to try other places! Such a bummer! read more

Sat at a table as first time customers for a while before we were told had to place order at the bar. Table signs notifying customers as such would be helpful or sign on wall. The Rose draft was awful with after taste. The oatmeal Stout is very good with a coffee flavor. CTZ is okay. Would be nice if the offered a flight card so you can remember what you are drinking. A BREWERY IN PRIOR LAKE! We've been wanting another hangout in the area, and this is such a great addition! Perfect downtown location and a quick drive once we get off the lake. Such a neat atmosphere and really stays in tune with the "boathouse" theme with their décor, color scheme, and taps. They have a fun variety of beer, an awesome way to present their flights, and food trucks available outside. We are so excited they're here and highly recommend it! Boathouse Brothers is a very cool space. They have made the inside look like a boat, with custom wood floors and boat style seats. The beer is just Okay. We've been there on 3 occasions and every time they have been out of at least a couple of their beers. For some places, this wouldn't be a huge deal, but given that they only had 7 or 8 taps, it was a challenge to find an option for each person in my party. Being a craft beer person, I know that breweries just starting out need time to develop their own style and perfect their craft. We will be back for the atmosphere, but hope that they continue to improve on their beer selection. read more

Service is super friendly, fast, and enjoyable. The brewery has a cool vibe that you will feel at home in as a Minnesota native living on the lake. The beers are SO good! There is always one for every taste, whether that be a sweeter stout, a hoppy IPA, a lighter ale, or a special. I went on a Saturday afternoon & would have liked to see some snacks or food available, but didn't. However, it's a brewery not a restaurant! It's obvious they put a lot of work into creating a unique design for the brewery in what was a bar previously. Staff was amazing, including Kevin, the owner. Exactly what Prior Lake needs in a slow, quiet downtown area without much entertainment. Not to mention, the food truck Nachos hit the spot. IPA was pretty good. Can even sit by the garage door windows (which open when not raining and nice out) to get the spring / summer breeze. It's a must try. Also, please try the "final rose" beer.
