Between my grandfather and I, we had six watches needing repair. Did my research and wanted to support small business. Found this shop. Called to ensure he would be open if the current pandemic situation. Answers the phone with simply "hello". Is this the Watchmaker Specialist?", I ask. "Yes." I then asked if he would be open the next day to drop by with the watches for repair. "No problem. I will be here" he responds. "Excellent. See you tomorrow." Today (the next day), I picked up my 89-year old grandfather to drive 25 miles to his shop. Arrive to the office building, then had to had to show my driver's license to a security guard. It has to be shown to a video camera where they take a picture of your license. Was not crazy about that given identity fraud. But had to do it to gain access to the building. Made our way up to the 7th floor, found the suite, only to find the office locked. Sign on door says call the number. So I do this and again, simply "hello". I let him know we were standing at the front door. "Who's this?", he asks. "A customer" i replied. "Oh, I am not there. I went to get some dinner. Can you wait 30 or 45 minutes?"........ So he wanted my grandfather and I to simply hang out and wait for him. Not very good customer service especially after I called beforehand to verify it was good to come down at that time. Which it was. But he left us in the lurch. We went someplace else. Was not a goid customer service experience.

A Series of Indignities -- I Would Not Recommend Cassio Jewelry for Watch Repair…read more I found Cassio Jewelry after Googling "authorized Movado repair near me" in The Woodlands, Texas. I was pleased to see a nearby result because previous repairs to my Movado Bold smartwatch required shipping it to Movado's facility in New York. Before visiting, I called and carefully explained that my Movado Bold uses two batteries: a rechargeable battery for its electronic functions and a separate battery for the analog watch. I specifically asked whether the analog battery could be replaced locally. The woman who answered asked me to bring the watch in, so I did. What followed was a series of indignities: Indignity #1: Accepting a repair without determining whether they could perform it. The man behind the counter looked at the back of the watch and said the repair appeared simple enough. I left it with him, along with another Movado that needed a standard battery replacement. After an unnecessarily long intake process, I was told both watches would be ready in a few days. Indignity #2: Failing to call when the watches were supposedly ready. Several days passed without any communication. I eventually called and was told that the watches had been repaired and were ready for pickup. Indignity #3: Closing early without notice. I arrived within the store's advertised business hours and within the timeframe I had been given over the phone, only to find the doors locked. A man standing in the repair area motioned for me to call the store. When he answered, he said the store had closed an hour early because of a special event. Indignity #4: Discovering at pickup that the main repair had never been completed. After reluctantly agreeing to "reopen the vault," the employee returned and informed me through the door that the Movado Bold had not been repaired. No one had called to tell me they could not do the work, despite previously telling me that the watches were repaired and ready. Indignity #5: Being met with a rude and dismissive response. When I explained that I should have been informed that they could not repair the watch, the employee retorted, "Well then maybe you should have sent it to Movado!" That is exactly what I would have done had Cassio Jewelry not appeared in my search for an authorized Movado repair shop and had its employees not encouraged me to bring the watch in. Indignity #6: Being made to wait outside in the August heat. The employee took my payment information for the other battery replacement, closed the door, and left me standing outside while he returned to the counter to process the transaction. As a Black man left sweating outside a locked jewelry store in The Woodlands, I felt humiliated and deeply uncomfortable. I could not help noticing the suspicious glances from people passing by. Indignity #7: The basic repair was not performed correctly. I later discovered that even the standard battery replacement had not been completed properly. When replacing the battery in a watch with a chronograph, the technician should verify that the chronograph hands return to zero when reset. That was not done. I will now have to pay someone else to correct the problem. This experience involved poor communication, an incomplete repair, substandard workmanship, an unexpected early closure, and an unnecessarily rude and humiliating interaction. I will not return to Cassio Jewelry, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend taking a watch there for any type of repair.

I had been researching for a few weeks of what I was looking for and what my spending limit was going to be. I didn't know Zales had an outlet so I decided to check it out! Best decision I could've made! I met Jay and right off the bat he was super friendly , welcoming and just an amazing sales person all around! I told him what I was looking for and my limit and he started showing me options. I also asked if there were any Black Friday sales and he was showing me what they had. Not once did Jay pressure or try to persuade me to buy something out of my budget. I asked him about natural diamond vs labs and he was super knowledgeable about the products! I found a pair that I had my eye on but I told him give me time I want to look in the woodlands mall to weigh my options out before I make a purchase. I then go to two jewelry stores inside of the mall, which were Helzberg and the original Zales and was truly astonished with the poor Customer Service that I received and how I was treated within those stores. After being treated so poorly at one store of bargaining back and fourth and trying to be pressured to buy something I went to another one where the lady could have cared less of what I was looking for. Jay truly made my experience unforgettable and his customer service was outstanding! I told him where I worked and that I'm also in customer service and I appreciate him not judging me or looking down on me just because I had certain request or wants for the diamond earrings I was looking for. I'm so happy with my experience and also happy with the gorgeous earrings I purchased for my bestfriends graduation! I will highly recommend anyone who's curious of stopping by to shop with Jay. I thanked him for taking his time with me, not rushing or pressuring me to buy. Also, his attitude did not once changed once I told him that I was going to look around to make sure I'm dead set on the item. Amazing customer service and any time I'm needing a special item. I will be shopping with him!!

Really poor customer service, lacking class & culture…read more We made it a point to visit all the jewelers in the area, in search of the perfect wedding bands. This was one of our stops last Saturday morning. We felt very turned off by the employees and how they treated us. The first girl who greeted us could not stop texting her boyfriend on her cell phone, while sitting in front of us... Then, she interrupted us and passed us off to another lady, explaining that her food had just arrived. We were abruptly "handed off," so she could conveniently take a lunch break mid-conversation with customers. The next lady may have treated us worse. She was a bad comedian, I suppose, as her jokes were extremely offensive & personally insulting... It may have been awkward humor or overly-sarcastic, but she was the only one amused. Terrible experience. We won't be visiting again... ever.
