Robichau's has resized several pieces of jewelry for me seamlessly, service is always prompt and professional

I dropped three pieces of jewelry for appraisal and was told they would be ready the following Wednesday. Stopped in Wednesday when driving home for lunch and checked and was told they would be ready by close of business. Went in near closing time and was told the appraisals were not done but promised they would be ready the next day. The next day I received a text around 4 pm saying the appraisals were done and ready to be picked up. Arrived and was told they were done but not there and they had no way to get them but would have them tomorrow. No apology just this was our system sending you a text. Customer service is not that hard - do what you say you will and if you can't explain why not and then certainly deliver on your promise. read more

Went in to resize my engagement ring , the red hair woman was so rude and made me feel like i do not have money to spend . She said $600 to resize one side up ! High way robbery . And kept saying u have to pay extra if it does not fit . Taking my business else where . Keep ur rude staff that think they know who walks in and judge people like that . read more

Went in for prong repair. They recommended repairing all four prongs around my emerald cut diamond. Also was told it would include would get the ring back looking like new after a cleaning and dip. I was charged almost $400 and now the new prongs catch on everything including my cotton hoodie with smooth material. I have not been able to wear the ring since and sent out to repair the shotty job done. They partially refunded me even though my initial complaint was 1 prong that was snagging on my thin polyester shawl. read more

The last few times I've been here have been hit and miss in terms of service. The ladies are very nice, but not so much the owner. I had a ring resized and was charged a lot! More than expected, over $300! And I was sizing down a platinum ring at least 1 size down. I would expect the cost to be less expensive since I didn't get the extra platinum piece back and would get scrap gold credit. Time for me to find another jeweler. read more

No job too small. The neighborly feel and the sophistication of Robichau's is unmatched. I have lived across the country and have visited many small business jewelers and I love Robichau's. I am not a big client that buys a new piece of jewelry a few times a year. I bring in my watch that was originally my grandmothers for a band replacement and battery replacement a couple times a year. I will frequently have one or more of my children with me. Every sales associate is kind to my children and speaks to them as if their opinion carries weight. They answer their questions about the estate jewelry section with the different colored gemstones. My fiancé purchased a ring from Robichau's in 2021. I picked a setting as we were using a family diamond, and communicated mostly via email as I no longer live in the Woodlands. My fiancé did not propose until last summer, so any issues were not discovered until a few years after the purchase. The ring was uncomfortable so I took it to a jeweler who was local to me, and found it was a full size smaller than I had ordered. I also had an issue with the center diamond coming loose and completely losing an accent diamond on the side. Naturally, I was quite frustrated as it felt that the ring had multiple problems resulting in multiple jeweler visits. I happened to be in town this week and stopped by, and explained the issues I was having. John worked with me acknowledged the sizing error (he still had the receipt of purchase and could see the size I ordered). He was also fair and defended his work, and explained that the design I chose is a more delicate design that can be prone to snagging, hence the center diamond coming loose and the accent diamond becoming lost. He also confirmed that the ring was still not the correct size I ordered (it was still a half size smaller). John then took my ring, resized it, made adjustments to the design as I requested, cleaned it, free of charge, and within an extremely quick turnaround time (I am leaving town again soon). The fact that he made a correction to an error that occurred nearly four years ago as quickly and professionally as he did speaks volumes to his character and business practices. Wanted to take a family ring to be made into an engagement ring and was quoted 2-3 weeks after design approval, which was supposed to take a week. I was happy with the knowledge of the employees so I decided they would be great. I approved the ring design and after a month I started inquiring where the ring was. They had no idea. I was told over text they send them over seas, then I was told by the store manager nothing goes over seas. I thought they lost my family ring for a solid 2 weeks. They couldn't give me a time line and assured the owner had my number and he would call them then call me. I never received a call from the owner. It was like pulling teeth trying to find out if the ring would arrive on time or even where it was. Ended up taking almost 3 months and they sent it to China. They also had no idea what happened to the original gold band, which apparently they sold to China without my approval or knowledge and rolled that into the price of the ring. I would rather get the gold back and sell it myself. I had no say in the value of it or how much I wanted for it. Pretty sure I could have taken it to a pawn shop and sold it for me than what they said it was worth. Some nice employees but the owners didn't impress even a little bit. Sounds like a father stated the business and the sons took it over and are living off the reputation their father built for them. read more

I have been a customer of Robichau's Jewelry since they were in their old location. They do beautiful work. Recently, I went in to find they had expanded. I needed a ring that is in an unusual, albeit beautiful antique setting have two tiny diamonds replaced, I mean extremely tiny, and it was $100. I felt the cost was a bit steep, since last I had two replaced cost had doubled. Perhaps with the expansion and increased rent could be the reason. Like many others here, my wife and I were enticed by the accolades of Robichau's Jewelry. We entrusted our wedding rings to them (refinishing and fixing a loose stone). Our initial interaction with Leeann Sauceda seemed positive. Caveat emptor ... We received an email and voicemail that our pieces were complete, and ready for pick up. Great, as it was well before the estimated time frame. Upon inspection, however, the loose stone that I specifically pointed out for service was still loose. The work I was being charged for was not even performed. Unbelievably, there was a signature on my invoice ensuring quality control of the job performed. Leeann also inspected the ring, pointed it out to Greg (I presume the manager) - agreeing that the stone appeared unchanged. Then, she proceeds with, "well, that isn't MY signature." Nonetheless, both she and Greg promise to have the ring repaired by the following morning, stating they would call us when it was ready to be picked up. Leeann further ensured that she "would personally inspect all the stones" this time. So, a waste of a 30 minute drive ... but at least I felt confident it would be appropriately addressed. The following morning - or shall I say the following 72 hours - NO phone call/email/text. We finally call to inquire if our jewelry is ready for pick-up (day #3), and told by another salesperson that they would check on it, and call us back in an hour. Again - NO callback. We make the drive later that afternoon, and speak with the salesperson behind the counter, who fumbles around searching for our name, and finally produces a bag containing our items. Leeann then walks around the corner, makes eye contact with us briefly, and turns away - saying nothing. No "good afternoon;" no "hello again;" no apology; no explanation -- nothing. I settle the balance. We walk away - never to return. Our advice to any future consumer: 1. Don't be beguiled by false accolades. 2. Read other reviews here (like I should have), who had similar issues with stone resettings. 3. If you do choose to do business here, and you're greeted by Leeann, wait for the next available salesperson. read more

I brought a gold rope bracelet that was a gift from my grandmother here after days of calling up jewelry stores to see how long their turn around time is for a simple resizing. I called Robichaus because of their stellar reviews and accolades plastered across multiple social media platforms. They mentioned that the turn around time would be about a week. Hearing that, was a huge sign that they care about their customers and the urgency of each individuals needs. I had my wedding ring re-sized. After a while I realized the bands were thinner at the bottom than they were previously. I chose not to take it back because I just didn't feel like messing with it. I chose to discuss it when I went back the next time. Then I needed a loose diamond set into the same wedding set that had been re-sized. I chose to give them a second chance because they were recommended by someone I think highly of. I addressed my displeasure regarding the change in thickness on my bands and was told I would have to pay to have it done correctly because I waited too long to bring it back. Needless to say I was not happy. Against my better judgment, I left my loose diamond and wedding set to have the new diamond set, two prongs replaced and rhodium plated. I had the following issues: The two new prongs are not the same size as the existing prongs (two are larger and two are smaller) One of the new prongs is crooked The wedding band is higher (not flush) than the engagement band (it was NOT this way before) read more

This store has the friendliest staff. I have taken a couple pieces of jewelry to be fixed. Each repair was done expertly and on time with a reasonable price. I have also had several repairs done. I got advice on a chain for my daughter to hang a sapphire pendant that she lost and the one they recommended was perfect and again a reasonable price for white gold.
