doesn't turn jobs on time on the watches like states he does. Trouble job that's all I can say about his work

I cannot attest to his skill as a watch repair shop but as a proprietor with a shop with the goal of supporting customers, not so good. Between my grandfather and I, we had six watches needing repair. Did my research and wanted to support small business. Found this shop. Called to ensure he would be open if the current pandemic situation. Answers the phone with simply "hello". Is this the Watchmaker Specialist?", I ask. "Yes." I then asked if he would be open the next day to drop by with the watches for repair. "No problem. I will be here" he responds. "Excellent. See you tomorrow." Today (the next day), I picked up my 89-year old grandfather to drive 25 miles to his shop. Arrive to the office building, then had to had to show my driver's license to a security guard. It has to be shown to a video camera where they take a picture of your license. Was not crazy about that given identity fraud. But had to do it to gain access to the building. Made our way up to the 7th floor, found the suite, only to find the office locked. Sign on door says call the number. So I do this and again, simply "hello". I let him know we were standing at the front door. "Who's this?", he asks. "A customer" i replied. "Oh, I am not there. I went to get some dinner. Can you wait 30 or 45 minutes?"........ So he wanted my grandfather and I to simply hang out and wait for him. Not very good customer service especially after I called beforehand to verify it was good to come down at that time. Which it was. But he left us in the lurch. We went someplace else. Was not a goid customer service experience. read more

I went down to this shop to see about getting my Rolex repaired. Arrived at the office during business hours on a Tuesday. Shop was closed, but there was a note on the door instructing patrons to call. I tried, but got a voicemail stating the mailbox was full. All I can say is that I'm glad I'm not trying to pick up a watch from this guy. Hard pass. I'm all about saving a few bucks, but not for this kind of "service" read more

I don't post reviews, the one reveiw I left is at this store. I had on here before looks like its been removed somehow. I highly do not recommend this place. Long story short. He fixed my Omega Seamaster Chronograph watch and then sold it to some woman who did not have the receipt for the watch. I still have it in my wallet as a reminder of how dishonest someone can be. He lied to me and said my girlfriend picked it up. I also had a Breitling Evolution that I had serviced during Covid and he literally admitted to me that he was wearing my watch throughout 2020. WTF!! In the process of this he also lost the 15 rider on the watch and said it was not missing. Thankfully Breitling store is good and got me another rider. Stay away from this place. read more

Same story here. Went to establishment, rang doorbell at 11:30am. No answer. Called phone number taped on door. Get owner, says he is sick, but will give me a good discount if I wait for an hour, until he arrives. I go kill an hour and half. Return to find another customer waiting. He was trying to retrieve what was worked on. Walked around for ten minutes or so. Went back to see business still closed. This is a very unprofessional place, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

My Rolex submariner needed servicing. The high end Rolex places wanted $1,000 to even start. I took it to watchmaker specialists and I was not disappointed. The bill was five or $600 and he did some additional servicing and that needed to be done. At first I was hesitant to take an expensive watch to somebody who I did not know. After a short conversation with him it was very apparent that he knew what he was doing and he ended up taking great care of my timepiece. If you want a high end fancy place with red carpet and a pretty receptionist, this is not for you. If you want a watchmaker who has been servicing watches for years, may be a touch unorganized, but does a great job at great prices, this is the guy for you. read more

I took my 1982 (bought new) Datejust in for a cracked crystal. now I have a rusted brown dial. Suspect it's not the original. In all the years there has never been anything like this happen to this watch before Walter got his hands on it. plan to ship to Rolex factory to find out if anything else might be missing.
