Following up on my first visit to this LensCrafters. I went ahead and visited the recommended…read moreoffice of Optometrist Dr. Guy A. Dietels, made an appointment there for an eye examination that was covered through my insurance, and came out very satisfied that this doctor far exceeded my highest of expectations, and with my eyeglasses prescription. I invite you to read my Yelp review I wrote of him. When I arrived at LensCrafters this time, a friendly and very knowledgeable elegant lady, Elizabeth Shires, whom later I found out was the Licensed Store Manager, gave me a warm welcome, had me take a seat, and proceeded to ask the right questions to find out what my needs were, insurance information, and input everything into a portable computer so I'd know the exact amount the eyeglasses would cost, the promotional discount the store would give me, how much the insurance would cover, and the remaining amount that I would need to pay. She was so professional that I decided at that moment that I would like to deal exclusively with her throughout my purchase of my new eyeglasses. I chose the Polo by Ralph Lauren frames which I had previously seen and selected as my favorite. And added, among other things, their premium, personalized Adaptive Progressive Lenses designed for seamless, multi-distance vision. These proprietary lenses feature digital free-form technology, aiming for easy adjustment and wide, clear viewing areas. The glasses were not cheap, but with the store's promotional discount and extensive eyeglasses insurance benefits, what I ended up paying was a minimal amount. In just a few days later, sooner than what I had anticipated, I received a text message from LensCrafters that my eyeglasses were ready for pickup. I gave the store a call to see when Elizabeth would be available to fit them on me and made an appointment to be there around her working hours for that day. She fitted my the eyeglasses and reminded me of the LensCrafters' 30-days "Happiness Guarantee," which allowed for adjustments or exchanges if you are not satisfied with the fit or prescription within 30 days of purchase. At first, I was very happy with the lenses themselves, but the nose pads that came with them were small and made of hard plastic that were hurting my nose skin. So I went back with them and Elizabeth made some adjustments. After trying them on for a few days they still were hurting my nose, so I went back and asked if she could replace these nose pads with some a little larger ones made of a softer material, and she did. Well this seemed to work and I no longer had this problem. I was able to enjoy my eyeglasses from then on. From driving my Lexus to watching TV, to writing my reviews. I highly recommend this LensCrafters, and can truly say that Elizabeth and all her staff far exceeded my highest of expectations.

Kylie, the manager, said they do adjustments from 9-5 Monday through Saturdays, but we would have to wear masks which was fine. They do not charge for adjustments. We arrived at around 4PM and had to call the phone number on the door because the door was locked. Kylie answered and she was able to help us. She put on gloves, took our temperatures, and let us inside. Then she asked me what was the issue with my glasses and did a quick check of how my glasses were sitting on my ears. She adjusted them and gave them back to me to wear and reassured me to take my take because she understood that typically you'd have to wear your glasses for 5 minutes to actually see if it fit. We went back and forth a bit before my glasses were comfortable. Kylie is so attentive and caring! She is so sweet and her customer service is wonderful. I highly recommend getting glasses or any adjustments here if you can.

But the last eyeglasses I bought there, which had a Chesterfield Titanium frame, had one of the plastic nose grip fall from the frame, and so I needed to have it repaired. Since I was going to be doing some errands today near their Valley View Blvd Optometry Center, I phoned them the day before to see if I could take my eyeglasses to their office to get fixed. A very nice and friendly lady answered the phone, told me I could, that they opened at 8:30am, and gave me directions to their office. I was very impressed with the wonderful customer service that I received during this telephone call and looked forward to visiting this Center. When I got there, the place was very clean and modern and nicely decorated for the Holidays. As soon as I walked in the door, a friendly and very hospitable lady asked me what I needed and after I explained, she took my eyeglasses and went to work inside. Soon afterwards she came out and had replaced the plastic nose grips with a little larger size ones that were stronger and felt more comfortable. And I was out of there with my repaired eyeglasses in minutes. I confirmed that the consistency of quality service was reflected in all the Johnson Curran Optometry Center the same. And that the key of this was in their caring and knowledgeable employees who went out of their way to provide the best possible service. I highly recommend this Optometry Center for all your Optometry needs.

I figured since the prescription had changed I might need to get accustomed. Turns out the contact for the right eye was expired (expiration date: 11/30/202). The contact for the left eye that I was given was (minus) -2.50, when the prescription clearly stated (plus) +2.50. I had my eyes dilated and could not see the writing on the contacts when I left, and I didn't look before trying them on because I trusted what I was given. I will never set foot in that office again and would never recommend them.

When we arrived all of the employees were busy with other patients, so check in was a bit slow/unclear (unclear because the employees' desks were in the middle of the room and the check in counter was empty). The care was stellar; both the nurse and doctor Wang explained what they were doing and listened to our concerns. Both were cordial and chatted with us as well as doing their respective check-in/exam. Check out was again a bit slow due to the employees being busy with other patients, but when it was our turn everything was explained well and was very simple to handle insurance and payment. I recommend JC Optometry in Salem and will be going back in the future.

We came into the store back in July. It was empty! But I was told we have to have an appointment so…read morewe made one, for today, Dec 3 at 3. We got here a little early but we weren't called back until 3:25. The first person, a lady, who saw my grandson was sick. She is hacking all over and IF she covers her mouth she NEVER washed her hands!! Clearly she isn't good with kids, she couldn't shane to sit still when she did testing we asked them not to do. Shane is 9 and the lady didn't get a good reading on his eyes, she said they're fine and he didn't need glasses. Then he goes to another person, a man this time, he looked at him and sent him back to the First Lady who redid the exam and said, oh yeah, he needs glasses. Wow!! These people are not that qualified and I have a sneaky suspicion shane will end up with headaches do to incorrect diagnosing. We picked out two frames within the price range, I was told kids can get regular glasses and get the break resistant lenses but when we went to buy them it was all untrue. So after waiting over an hour and being told we had to wait because there were others ahead of us, we are wishing we had gone anywhere else!! So, now after trying to add on everything just to run up the bill to make this visit over $200 when tv says $69. I'm so aggravated. I would think twice before coming here. These folks may want the job they just don't want to get educated on what to do. Won't be back here, my ophthalmologist will check my eyes for the $5 Copay and the glasses I will get at Zippys online, very good prices. If u have Ins u can go to an Ophthalmologist and pay your copay only then get glasses for around $30 or less See you can save money and Time. It's 4:33 and we're still here, with a 3:00 appointment!! I'm so aggravated!

The same doctor didn't just stay on the video and see us both. Then when I went to pick out my glasses I think the lady decided on her own what I could and couldn't afford and said my insurance only paid for what was on that wall by the door and waved by the stand as you walk in on the right. Well I looked and I did pick out two for the buy one get the second one free. When my mom came out they were why nicer to her for some reason. I guess they thought she had money. That lady even got out of her seat and went walking with my mom to find square looking frames. Well the longer I was there I was like what the hell. So I was looking on the designer wall and fell in love with this pair with red on it. Well I want you to know that lady and the manager mumbled under their breaths because I changed my order to the designer pair. People should not decide what you can and can't afford number one. Number two they are working why under staffed so I give them grace on that. But that whole store needs revamping. New staff. New training. New attitudes in there. Those people are running that place in the ground. I don't usually fill out something like this but the company needs to know. Asap!!!!!
