I ordered Save the Dates and when I received them our names were so small you could barely see them , I was so stressed and disappointed! I emailed them right away since it was outside normal business hours and the next day I got a email that they would be fixed... The reviews are true! Horrible customer service. Somehow all of the work I put into wedding invitations got deleted out of my cart and when I called to see how it happened and if they could put everything back in the cart they said no can do and hung up the phone. I sent a follow up email about the poor service and never heard back from anyone. I had a discount I was about to use but since I had to redo everything it expired. Not even worth another phone call. The only reason I went with invitations by dawn is because it had The Love Story design. When I received my order I was unhappy with the quality of my photos. Customer service was able to resolve my issues and sent me out new prints that were a lot better. The sample isn't really helpful before ordering but I appreciate that they were able to assist me in the delivery of my reprinted save the dates in a timely fashion. They were a bit expensive but I am satisfied with the finished product and I received a lot of compliments about the save the dates. I think its worth it because I purchased magnets and people will be looking at those save the dates for who knows how long. read more

Complete mess ordering from them from start to finish. I went with them because of the price, but it wasn't worth it. First, I could not order because their site wasn't working, and then I received my invitations and they were misprinted and they weren't folded correctly. After researching tons of websites, I fell in love with their selection. They were prompt in sending the sample wedding invitations and the process of ordering was smooth and painless. Getting our order was too much work! First, we selected our invitations, response cards, envelopes, and wedding programs. The program proof was not correct and we submitted the problem to them for correction. We never heard anything and the order just sat in limbo so we contacted them. They said they would contact the Art Dept. and then the next day it was fixed. The order came in two shipments. However, the Unity Sand Vase was missing. We figured it was coming separate since it is fragile. When it never arrived, we contacted them. They showed it was in the box with the paper goods but replaced it free of charge. However, I didn't hear anything after that communication and had to contact them for a 3rd time to find out where this item was. They showed it had shipped out, although I was never notified with any type of tracking number. So it took 3 separate communications for us to get an online order. I felt like we were always forgotten about unless we called them. In doing over, I'd use a different company. read more

I ordered my wedding invitations from here and on the preview page everything was read and easy to see. However, when I received the invitations the color was only able to be read in a certain lighting. We contacted customer service and they said it was our fault the invitations were not readable and would not refund us and said they would reprint them for $90, which is nearly half of what we originally paid for these invitations. Unfriendly service and inaccurate internet proofs, do not use!!! read more

I too agree with others who have written reviews. If I could give a less star rating I definitely would! When given the choice of a proof or not... you absolutely should pay the extra $10. I had problems from the beginning with the address list. If I could show you all the times and dates of telephone calls I was forced to make correctly errors Invitations by Dawn did....you would be amazed! and decide to choose another vendor for invitations. I was told by a customer service rep. that because I had so many problems; they would update shipping to overnight. But, when I checked my bank statement, low and behold there was a charge. Since this was a Friday and they are not open on weekends; I was forced to wait until Monday to deal with yet another misfortune. Eventually the charge was removed Also, when you find an error the company made, you are asked to submit a question to them and then wait for an answer. This doesn't happen immediately either! Customer must be very diligent and check every detail even after you submit a change in which the error was made by them because many times the correction of a zip code, spelling of names, leaving last names off still wasn't corrected. I became so frustrated!!! I would rethink giving Invitations by Dawn your trust with such an important event! read more

I ordered invitations, lined and unlined envelopes, response cards and bookmarks. I ordered proofs for the invitation and am very glad I did. The PDF of the invitation at the time I ordered was perfect. I filled in all the blanks the way I wanted the invitation to appear and expected them to appear as such. I was glad I took a screen shot of the PDF because when the proof came, it looked nothing like the screen shot. After about four attempts, over the course of a week, it was all ironed out. I was a little worried that I should have ordered proofs for the envelopes. When the order came, the invitations were fine. The color of the lining of the envelopes was definitely off from the color used on the invitation (I had debated this when placing the order) and the lining was only on a portion of the envelope, not even lining up with the seams (when held up to the light, you could see the seams of the envelope and the edges of the lining). The mailing envelopes were thin and needed an inner envelope so I had to find new inner envelopes (Michael's Craft Stores). The personalization on the other items was not a problem (thank goodness). The tassles for the bookmarks did not fit with the scale of the bookmarks so I spend a day cutting the pre-punched holes away from the bookmarks and not using the tassles. Even if people don't figure out they are bookmarks, they're a nice looking thank-you card. I am happy with what I got, but had to make a couple accomodations to feel confident enough in the presenation. I would say if there is anything you are doubting when you are putting together your order, skip it and choose something else. I would still place an order because they had an invitation style I couldn't find anywhere else, but I would do a couple things differently. read more

We had a very good experience. I was surprised by the low reviews on yelp but it seems like people did not do their research. We ordered and had the invites by the next week, exactly as promised. I found a promo code online and ordered free samples. Do this!!!!! Some are not as nice as others. We found the ones we liked by the sample and personalized and placed our order. With the 30% off we saved enough to even buy some personalized cocktail napkins for our reception. We splurged on the shimmer inner envelopes (worth it). We were printing on the envelopes so I ordered extra everything. Better to have more than not enough and they get cheaper the more you order. Overall we had a very good experience. I chatted with customer service online a few times with no problems. I would only take off for their website. It seems to be a bit glitchy and doesn't always work depending on your computer. Otherwise I would definately recommend them! We are getting lots of compliments on the invites! read more

very unhappy with customer service, i purchased over 500.00 for wedding accessories through this company and they made a mistake in the printing of my mothers name on a memorial candle, i was very careful in submitting correct spelling, and although i have all my paperwork which i explained to the girl on the phone, she insists that i scan all documents with time stamp and date to her. the candle was 19.00. i dont have a scanner so what a hassle! I will not purchase anything else through them and i will not recommend this company! not to mention be very careful because when you order items they are very cheap looking compared to the pictures on their web site! read more

I am a bride to be on a budget, however, not so cheap as what their invites looked like, the online proof was correct, it looked great, like a high quality invite. They said they'd arrive in 3-5 business days, and they did, but i could've cried when I opened the boxes, my unreturnable personalized invitations look like they were printed on a personal computer with thin ivory typing paper and purple ink from a bad cartridge, and there is nothing I can do about it. I am ashamed of them, but will have to send them out anyway. What gets me is I spent $250 on something I probably could have done (and even made look better) with Microsoft Publisher, plain old paper and purple ink for like $20! I would never recommend Invitations by Dawn to anyone!! Thank God my future mother-in-law is a scrapbooker & creative card maker, we plan to cut them apart, repost the printed message part on purple, orange and ivory cardstock and try to make them look better! read more

ordered invitations by DOWNs...should of read these reviews prior to ordering....They got nothing right..and shipping was horrible, worst place to get your invitations, or whatever you want to get from them...FIND SOMEONE ELSE ON THE WEB OR DO IT LOCALLY!!! these guys don't give a $hit about you, and your invitations. crappy customer support read more
