The flavor was good on the fish. The fries were crispy. My only disappointment is they served the malt vinegar on small portion cups instead of the shaker bottle. Hard to get an even spread. I wasn't going to get a beer, but then I saw that the brewery did a collaboration with the Deftones to create an IPA called Phantom Bride. I had to get a pint. Chino Moreno made me do it! It was citrusy and refreshing, and just the thing to enjoy while sitting on the outdoor picnic tables. Belching Beaver offers your average pub food. My kids got chicken tenders and fries, and mac and cheese with fries. I got a poke bowl, which sounds like a risky choice at a brewery, but it was actually really good and fresh! Not too saucy, either. We also got the carne asada 980 Nachos, which are huge and come on a baking sheet. Plenty enough to share! This place is tucked away in what looks like an office plaza. I'm learning that a lot of breweries in this area are posted up in situations like this. You look like you're driving into a nondescript place to get your contract notarized, but instead, you happen upon a cool restaurant and brewery such as this.
