The drinks, ambiance, and live band were absolutely fantastic and created a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food service didn't live up to the rest of the experience. We waited over an hour for our pizza and were told twice that it would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. After an hour and 15 minutes, we were offered a refund with no apology and explanation as to why it took so long. What made the experience even more disappointing was that the employees behind the counter appeared to be laughing about the situation, and came across as rude while we were waiting. When we brought up the issue, the employee managing the orders didn't seem interested in finding a solution or simply getting our pizza made right away. Instead, he spent time, speaking with sarcasm, telling us he had been doing this for over 20 years, which didn't address the problem or help resolve the situation. A sincere apology and a quick effort to make our order would have gone a long way. In the end, they made us a pizza, but by then the experience had already been frustrating. I really wanted to love this place because the vibe is amazing. I'd definitely come back for the drinks and the live music, but I hope they improve their food service and customer service, because it has the potential to be a great spot. read more

Hanger 76 is a surprisingly great find here in Oceanside. I always pass by while driving up and down the 76, and I never expected a spot like this to be tucked away here. I definitely love the warehouse vibe, clean open space, awesome craft beer selection, and the wine options they have. The patio area is a great place to hang out and has a very family-friendly feel. They also serve food on site, including hot pizza prepared in an outdoor pizza oven. I came here today to support my friend who was playing in a live reggae band, and the whole setting made it even better. Service was spot on and professional. The bathrooms were clean, and believe it or not, parking was a little hard, but it was okay I was able to find a spot around the corner. The place is tucked away in an industrial area right across from the airport, which actually gives it a really cool vibe. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

I went on a motorcycle ride here with my friends for international woman's day. I was excited to try this place out since I live not too far and pass it all the time. We had to park on the street which was a bummer but atleast it's not a busy road. The place was huge! It had sufficient space inside an outside for large groups. They all have a bar for wine and a bar for beer which is pretty neat and different. Their kitchen was having issues when we went so the only food option was a pizza food truck which I didn't get because I knew I'd have leftovers and a pizza box is hard to take on the bike. I ended up getting the strawberry lemonade seltzer. It was what you'd expect but it was so darn refreshing in the heat! I would deffintly come back here to just hang out. Great place to bring your dogs if you like to do that. We don't have dogs but they are here often. They're very catering to dogs and have water bowls throughout. I even saw a man bring his cat. Now that was cool. And yes, l did ask to pet her. I first became acquainted with this place from going to a book club meet up here. They have so many differing options for seating. From high top tables to picnic tables to leather couches. There is also bar top seating, too. While l wouldn't say it's great for kids, it's not bad as their outdoor patio has a lot of space for them. I have eaten here probably around 6 times. If we still lived in Oceanside, l would go probably weekly. So every time l have been it's been an hour's drive but we make it a point to eat here often when we're in the area because the food is so good. Their pizza is probably the best l have had on the west coast. Their garlic cheese rolls are melt-in-your-mouth fabulous! They use the same dough for both and for their s'mores dessert, which is also delicious! I had the jalapeño pasta and while it was good, l wish it was creamier. It was sadly a little bland, but that's fine, l will forever be a loyal fan of their pizza, s'mores, and bread rolls. Often, they run out of items so it's best to get there as early as possible because l don't think l was able to try their brussels sprouts until maybe my 4th trip. It's not super cheap but for the quality, l don't mind at all. It's quickly become one of my top 3 favorite restaurants (regardless of distance or location) ever. I hope they consider opening one in the Murrieta/Temecula area since they do have wineries there as well. I mean, any reason to be able to eat their yummy foods more often works well for me! It's a super casual place where you go to the pizza oven area to order food and pay and they hand you a pager. You grab utensils and plates there as well. They also have a still and sparkling water dispenser near their wine pouring and tasting area. This place has three companies in one: Tipping Pint Brewery, Carruth Cellars wine, and Hangar 76 Pizza. I had an awesome glass of wine but since it was my husband's and he ordered it and can't remember the name, nor could l find a wine menu online, we'll just have to go with the $20/glass cabernet that they said they often run out of or isn't often on the menu. Bring back the food trucks!!! Beer is phenomenal and they rotate regularly. Wine options are great for every type of wine connoisseur. And they even have a decent selection of NA beers now. Brewery staff are super cool and nice. Winery gal is, well she's nice enough on her best days. They just redid the back patio and it's spacious with plenty of seating, both in and out. My only gripe is that dang pizza place. Idk what the heck is going on but the quality is just downright bad. And I mean all of it. Walked up to the counter last time around and the guy didn't even look up at me. The garlic knots have come out raw on multiple occasions, pizza is burnt black, not a little bit O' tasty char, like crisped to carbon black. And the salad is ok. But it's a $20 basic salad. Has gone from 5 to 4 to 2 and now 1. Super disappointing because we used to love the place. The pizza is delicious, but in the last couple of months, the crust is almost consistently BURNT. I don't mean dark. I mean INEDIBLE burnt. We and friends have both been forced to send the food back. I'm not paying for food I can't eat. The prices on appetizers are ridiculous ($16-$18 for SIX wings?? Absolutely not.) We were recently there as part of a large group and the establishment had two extremely large parties scheduled. Instead of shutting it down, they let other patrons come in. Long story short, we waited OVER 2 hours for two separate pizzas (two orders). The manager not only refused to help, she was EXTREMELY rude and blamed us (all of us were stunned). She said her parties were more important. She asked if there was a sign. We said AFTER we ordered, a one hour wait sign went up. AFTER. Also, it said ONE hour, not two. Will be nice enough not to call her name out. We are a bunch of regulars. I went down to four stars because when my friends tried to order the bread, they said she couldn't because they were still making the dough, but I don't understand why they couldn't just let her pay for it knowing it was going to take a while. We celebrated my birthday at Hangar 76. It was a perfect venue for the small (24) group we had. We were inside at the back of the building which was among the wine barrels but it was really great ambiance! We ordered a couple of charcuterie boards to start followed by two different types of salads and an amazing array of different types of pizzas for our guests to enjoy. We brought our own cake and the venue provided drink tickets for our guests to order their drinks of choice (they kept track of the drinks ordered from our guests then we paid the tab at the end of the evening). There is a food vendor where you can get pizza on weekends but I'm not sure about the rest of the week. Once you have all that set in your mind and are comfortable with the situation: go and have a great time! I enjoyed a great Pinot Noir and share a cheese pizza with the spouse. The pizza was great! There was a delightful atmosphere of children playing and running, dogs cruising, families smiling and great music which was provided by Smallbatch Ramblers last night. As far as parking: it's on the street. If you park on the side where the rocks are (you'll know what I mean when you see it) have your passenger get out first before you park so they don't scrape your car door on the rocks. They source their grapes from up north wineries and crash them locally in the Hangar 76. The price per glass, if you are not the winery member, can be bit steep. I reserved part of the patio for a welcome dinner during my wedding wedding and we had a great experience. We had about 35 people and it was so nice that people could go and order their own beer and wine. We pre-ordered pizza (highly recommend doing this because they get busy and pizzas can take some time to make). It was a Friday night so there was live music which made the ambiance extra special. My parents said we should have had the wedding there because it was a nice atmosphere and the prices were really reasonable for the pizza and charcuterie. We emailed ahead of time to set everything up and it was all really smooth. Side note- the pizza and wine there is so good! I haven't tried the beer but our guests enjoyed it.
