So looking for a Fence and of course it's always a good idea to get quotes. It could be a big…read moreproject. It was only 24 feet and the first company I went to $3500 for 24 feet of fence. Unfortunately I did not go with them because it took too long to get things rolling. I'm extremely patient person but after about a week and a half I told him thank you but no thank you so I came across Red Cedar Fence, which is in Wheeling. I had talked to the young lady in the office, she was great and she had Ruben come out and give me an estimate. I was shocked when Ruben gave me an estimate of $1600 for a 6 foot high fence and 24 feet compared to the first company at 3500 American Fence lol so of course you need a permit Gabriel in the office handled. It actually took a bit longer cause he was trying to get a deal for me to keep the 6 foot fence that same unfortunately Skokie my opinion, pretty lame only a 5 foot fence in the backyard. So of course the price was less at 1400 within one day. I had my new fence in the backyard. It was an amazing experience. Workers were friendly. Got the work done and cleaned up after they were done. Very impressed with the work defense cedar fence smells great. Looks great. Definitely would use them again and if anybody needs a Fence with great customer service and affordable pricing, Red Cedar Fence is the place to go.

My husband and I had researched SEVERAL different companies in our area and surrounding areas before deciding on Fence Solutions. We were fortunate enough to be able to work with Mark and he was quick to respond to any questions we had during the entire process. We decided to go with a sleek black aluminum fence and we are sooooo happy that we did. The yard seems a lot more open and we know that with the harsh Illinois weather, this fence will hold up without a problem for MANY years to come. We are looking forward to spending more time in the backyard and upping our landscaping game now that our big projects are complete. We couldn't be happier!

I had a Red Cedar fence installed by Fence Solutions about 3 years ago. (An unsealed Red Cedar…read morefence has a life expectancy of about 15 years. If you seal it, a Red Cedar fence can last for 25 years.) Many of the pickets/boards are split and separating. The nails are coming out. The rails are split. The posts are split. Some of the Pickets only had one nail holding it up. Very disappointed. I will probably have to hire someone else and have it repaired. This was a terrible installation and product. I would never recommend this company.

On the positive side, Vadim and team at Alania we're easy to work with, professional, nice people,…read moreetc. We had some scheduling issues due to weather, Vadim fielding other jobs, and waiting for stain inventory, etc. But otherwise, they did a good job. On the negative side, his final invoice was 47% more than his original estimate. He says this is because I wanted two coats of stain instead of one, which still seems egregious to me. He needs to be more clear in his estimating. As part of replacing one of the fence posts, he accidentally cut through my sprinkler lines and did not tell me. The sprinkler was already shut down for the coming winter, and so I did not realize this until we turned it on next spring, which incurred an additional repair cost. Lastly, I discovered a board that he installed as being too short for where he installed it. This is a minor issue that he can easily fix, however, I have repeatedly asked him to come warranty his work and replace the board he installed, but he has ignored all my inquiries. I included 3 photos. One photo is a comparison that shows my neighbor's fence connected to mine so you can see the difference in the before and after. One is of the post that Alania replaced near my sprinkler line (obviously it did not go through the original post but was close enough to be damaged by the work). And finally, one picture is of the plank that is clearly not the right length. The quality of the work is good when done properly, but I don't know if I would use Alania again due to the bait and switch estimate and being non-responsive to a warranty issue. I'll revise this review if anything changes.

We replaced 2 sections, they were able to level with existing fence, align our gate & hammer in nails on existing sections. We are very pleased & it looks great.
