Nice to know my review is living rent free in this guy's head because he can't take constructive feedback. If you're a skeptic about companies that have all 5 star reviews, you should be. They may actually be a great business OR they might be like this one where they bother you for days on end to remove your negative review for a refund . This guy is trying to make me look like a liar even though I'm just reviewing what my experience was. Here is a screenshot with timestamps of how our convo started. As you can see, he auto replies with "$85 flat." He did not tell me $275 until I got there in person, and I was fine with it. (See also-- screenshot of receipt with timestamp) So his little response that he told me 'ahead of time' and that I showed up 'the next day for my appt' is him lying. I suggested he should be more upfront with the cost and add "'starting' at $85 'depending on phone model'" to his autoreplies then and he said he doesn't want to scare people away or something to that effect. Why assume-- I mean, who still has a working iPhone 6?? Anyway, the cost isn't even the problem. My only gripe is that I got my screen replaced and now my phone doesn't work like it used to. read more

If you're going to be a walk-in service, I'd suggest being transparent about your hours. The hours on Yelp said they closed at 6PM, and the sign on the kiosk says 5. Called the business when I arrived around 4:40, (mind you, after sitting through a rush hour commute that was longer than my regular one) and was told by the shopkeeper that he'd closed up early at 4PM because business was slow. After saying the hours were misleading, he responded, "It's actually not misleading." Now let's leave that judgement to the consumer. One positive thing about this business was how quick they responded to my Yelp request message. They'd laid out a flat rate of $40 which i rolled with because i was desperate. I will say, I did specify that I'd be arriving in the next evening after work in my Yelp message with the shop. So i don't know why it was such a shocker that a customer would want service during opening hours. oh well. After this experience I went to another shop on Main and got my problem solved for free and in less than 2 minutes. In summary, you might have better luck with this place if you show up first thing in the morning, and if you don't have a full time job with regular hours. I'd also suggest calling around first to see if these repair businesses have flat rates for the repair you're looking for. In a way, I'm kind of grateful I had this experience because i was able to get the same service for free elsewhere. read more

Ilyas has serious skills and knowledge. My phone accidentally got submerged in water and stopped working. I thought it was toast. I did a lot of research online that said just let it dry out, but I called Ilyas because he had repaired my cracked screen a few months prior. Best-kept secret, right here in downtown Walnut Creek...and only blocks from the Apple Store, as well as two of the major carriers (AT&T and Verizon). Stopped in on a Monday afternoon to iPhone Repair Pro, fully expecting to have to replace the screen on my iPhone XS. Had stopped for gas earlier that morning (while on a call, with my headset on), and had (completely not thinking) placed my iPhone on the trunk of my car while filling up. (Guess there's a first time for everything!) After getting gas, I pulled out of the gas station and drove no more than a 1/2 block in a 35 MPH zone, only to soon hear a 'thump', and - immediately afterwards - my call being disconnected. Cue: Okay, so now I realized what just happened, and I'm going to throw up now... Quickly pulled over (of course, it had to be during super-busy morning commuter traffic) yet - and, perhaps due to my LifeProof iPhone case - I actually found my phone (still working) and what appeared to be a cracked display.
