My son started attending at 5 months old (it's impossible to find someone willing to take your infant) and from the start I knew we made the right decision. He is nurtured, taken care of like family and thriving. I was terrified to leave him at a daycare but am so happy I found Gohar! We spend 2 hours each day commuting between pick up and drop off (LA traffic is something) and it's worth it to see how happy he is there. I was referred to iPlay iLearn from a very reputable daycare in the area. I had been looking for a daycare a bit last minute and the place I originally wanted to take my daughter to only accepted children ages 1 year and up. The owner of the other really awesome daycare recommended that I send my daughter to iPlay iLearn for 6 months until my 6 month old would be old enough to attend there. She told me that she even sent her own child to iPlay iLearn. At first, I was a little apprehensive because I had originally considered institutional daycares like Bright Horizons (my work is next to it in Santa Monica, although I live in the valley). I saw all the bells and whistles at BH and thought I NEEDED all the techy amenities. The apps, access to cameras, long weekly reports, etc. But as I was in a sort of bind due to an unrelated situation, I decided to give the whole home daycare thing a try. BEST. DECISION. EVER! At least.... with iPlay iLearn. My daughter attended iPiL from the age of 6 months to a couple of months over the age of 2 years. As indicated above, I had originally only planned on sending my daughter here for 6 months until she turned 1 so that she could then change to the other school. I even submitted a non-refundable deposit at the other place. But after 6 months with Gohar at iPiL, I knew that there was no way I was going to leave. Gohar and her team at iPlay iLearn (Naira, Kristine, Liana) have such dedication to the children. They are authentic, genuine, and warm. My experience when interviewing other daycares was that the "main" teach (typically the business owner) would be great, but you could see a clear gap between the knowledge and care that they bring to the table and the staff that work for them. But not at iPiL. All the staff are so attentive and the children love and feel so safe and secure there. My daughter's dad and I divorced when she just turned 1 years of age and it was very traumatic for her. During this tough time, Gohar and her team were the one very stable and consistent thing in her life and honestly, we could not made it through the life change as well as we did if it weren't for Gohar. She and her team were told what was going on and they provided extra care, love, support for not only my daughter but for me as well. They went over and beyond what would be expected of them and helped my daughter get through this hard time. I can never ever express enough gratitude for their genuine love and care for my daughter. Ok, back to not so somber stuff! A detail that I love about iPiL is that they serve a lot of Armenien food for lunch! My daughter is Korean-American and I love that she loves Armenien food now. Whether it's borscht or other dishes (sorry Gohar, I totally forget the names), my daughter is hooked! I would say that lunches are Armenien and snacks are generally American. I love that Gohar is committed to keeping up to date with the latest in early age education and she is also closely connected to, gosh I forget the school but I think it's CSUN. She also takes on a student per year as an apprentice/intern, which I love. She is ambitious and honestly intrinsically motivated to be the best teacher she can be for the kids. My daughter no longer attends iPiL for an unrelated reason and it was so hard when we had to leave. Even now, over 4 months later, my daughter casually mentions the name of the entire staff and her friends at iPiL in passing. I still stop by iPiL to drop off coffee to the entire team (I used to buy them coffee every week) every month or so just to catch up and to fill my cup with their warmth and care. Gah, I just love Gohar and her team so much. I have referred her daycare to any and everyone I know who live in the area. If you're open to a home daycare, then this is it. My wife and I HIGHLY recommend iPlay iLearn and Teacher Gohar & her team! It is a wonderful place for our two young kids (3 and 1) and we are very grateful we found it a year ago. The environment is warm and welcoming, patient and educational, and plain fun! Additionally, they do an excellent job introducing and teaching children early essential skills, as well (sharing, taking turns, listening, language, writing, music, playing, drawing, etc.). There is always a wide array of super fun and creative activities set up for the kids, meant to both teach them through collaborative play, and simply have a lot of fun during the day! There is a fantastic, safe, spacious outdoor area that we love; my children have a blast! I feel great that my kids are playing, learning, getting outside -- all the things children need to grow! My oldest daughter started iPlay iLearn about 2.5 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. Teacher Gohar and her amazing staff are truly the best. When we first started she was going only for a few hours but during pick ups she wouldn't want to leave so we extended to full day because she loves it so much!! Never have I heard her say I don't want to go to school today that is because she feels the love and encouragement from the teachers! My kids are very picky eaters but at school they eat everything. Teacher Gohar makes yummy meals for the children, watching all the children eat together helped her try something new everyday. We still cannot believe how lucky we are to have moved to this neighborhood and have found the incredible Teacher Gohar at iPlay iLearn! Teacher Gohar and her team of equally wonderful and loving teachers provide the BEST care for our children. My almost 3 year old started going there just before he turned 2, and within a couple of months, he knew all the numbers, colors, letters, etc and also learned to play well with others. Aside from the education, the love and support he gets from the teachers is incredible. If there are ever any behavioral issues, they provide 1-on-1 time with the child and work with parents to find the best supportive solutions for everyone. We recently enrolled our 1.5 year old as well and we are equally thrilled for the care he's been receiving! This daycare has been so wonderful for us and our little boy! We had to start daycare at 3 months as we both had to go back to work. Gohar is so warm, kind, and loving to the children. She encourages lots of outdoor play and has lots of fun projects always planned. She cooks fresh food for the kids in the morning and it smells like heaven almost every morning I drop him off! He has loved her meals and is growing right along. Teacher Sonia loves our boy so much and it makes it so much easier knowing he is truly cared for and even loved by the teachers. Teacher Suzie is also always so pleasant when we arrive. Everyone there is stellar! I have been so impressed this last year because, even though our boy was so much younger than the other kids, he's always been included in the activities, songs, art projects, etc. I strongly believe he's benefited from it immensely. He has developed so many social skills because he is learning from his older peers. Parking is always easy, and drop off/pick up is a snap! Our experience with Iplay Ilearn started in 2017 when I was looking for a daycare to take my youngest child. After meeting with Teacher Gohar and visiting the daycare I immediately knew this was the right place for him. iPlay iLearn is a wonderful place for my little man. He came to Gohar's after having a not so great experience at a previous daycare and Gohar had no hesitation into taking him immediately in after our bad experience. We have been here for almost a year now. Gohar and other teachers are very patient and understanding. They want the best for the kids and have the truest and warmest hearts. They are very inclusive and teach many language lessons daily. My son will know not only english and spanish (since he lives in a bilingual home) he will also know armenian and russian! They also have a really large backyard, which my son just loves, with bicycles, a sandbox and all kinds of fun toys for them to play with. I love the patio area, it's like an outdoor classroom, so cute! My son has had some hurdles throughout this past year and Gohar has been on our team every step of the way! She has provided guidance, assistance and recommendations in to finding the right solutions for my son. Every day we are communicating about his progress. We are so very grateful for the love and support Gohar and the rest of the teaching staff has given to our family. We do not have family close by, so their daily support really is important for the growth and development of our son. The best daycare you will find!! My youngest son started at iPlay iLearn when he was 1 and has been there for over a year now. I have two older children in elementary school so we have been to many different daycares over the years. Teacher Gohar is hands down the best caregiver I've ever had for any of my children. My son loves going to daycare everyday and I think he might even love teacher Gohar more than me some days. He runs to her door every morning at drop off and doesn't even look back. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he is happy at daycare since he spends so much time there. On top of being so kind and caring, teacher Gohar also makes the children healthy homemade meals and snacks every day. The children's play area and backyard are beautiful and always super clean. I love that they really encourage the children to explore and play as much as they want. Teacher Gohar is also very communicative and will give you updates/pictures during the day if you would like. This daycare is absolutely incredible. As a family physician and mother of 2 (about to be 3!) I cannot overstate how particular I am in choosing any place where my children are to learn and be cared for. My son stared at 6 months old and after a year and a half, Gohar, Sonya, and the rest of the teachers feel like family to us. When I drop my son off in the morning to go to clinic, he doesn't even look back. He marches up to the front door, turns around, waves, and says "bye bye mama" - there is no better feeling than that. Gohar and Sonya are so warm, caring and observant but also teach the children so many valuable skills regarding self efficacy. I am always amazed by things my son knows how to do from daycare! I really wanted him to be somewhere where they create community between the kids and the teachers, and that's what I feel my son has there. Whenever I ask for something specific, Gohar and Sonya are 100% receptive and offer wonderful insights. They know and love my son so much that they are always suggesting that I pick him up later because they don't want to let him go! I love that Gohar has devoted a huge portion of her house to the daycare and it is incredibly clean and inviting. They have so much open yard space with trees, grass and an open porch, they play outside all the time. Gohar treats her daycare like a preschool and is a teacher by profession, she keeps a play based, Montessori type curriculum and her knowledge of child development is truly evident in how she structures an individualized approach to each child. Most of the children stay in her care until they go to kindergarten. There is no staff turn over, and they are all so dedicated and devoted to the kids and to our entire family. Sonya is always trying to feed me (which honestly, I let her do, because her homemade food is so delicious and nutritious). The second I got pregnant, I immediately reserved a spot for my daughter to be. Leaving my son at someone else's care is one of the hardest thing I've faced as a parent. I feel so luck to have found iPlay iLearn; It's exactly what I had pictured in my mind. Kids do many hands on activities like cooking, making play dough from scratch, baking, arts and crafts, etc... The classroom looked Montessori to me, and as we talked about the wonderful set up and the approach she told me we worked for a Head Start school where they use the Reggio Emilia Approach. I am able to see the years of experience she has working with young children, and her motivation and hard work to help each child achieve their goals. Her way to communicate with children is positive and effective. She provides what each individual child needs yet makes it work for the group. Her two sons are also involved with the children. My son loves it when they are there, one of them plays the guitar for the kids. I could go on and on about the things they do, and what I love about this place, but I feel that all I should say is that this is the best place for my son and he is happy to go, and when I pick him up he's excited to tell me all the wonderful things he was able to do and when my daughter get a little older I'm planing to sign her up too. Not sure where to begin. I could perhaps start with the conclusion of my observations -- iPlay iLearn (IPIL) is perhaps the finest day care facility in the area, well at least to me and all the parents of children here I spoke with, it is! Okay, what would make me say that. I've started sending my son to IPIL sometime in 2016 on someone's heavy recommendation, after a not-so-great experience in his previous day care facility, and I couldn't have been more glad about my pick. Gohar and her staff at IPIL are trained professionals in child care and they have been taking wonderful care of my little guy since day 1 and they know what they're doing and they're very methodical and cognitive of the child's individual needs. They are the reason why I don't have to worry about him while I'm at work. They work as a team, complement each other, and are there for the child every minute of his/her day catering to the kid's physical, and mental needs. They make sure my guy is well nourished with home made food, and while they let the kid have plenty of free play time in the massive backyard, they do engage the kid also in plenty of structured activities to help in the child's development in every facet. My kid has made plenty of friends there, and has learned and polished over time on how to play nice, be polite, be generally generous, be social and a team player, be creative and artistic, learn a whole bunch of stuff applicable for his age (in math, language skills etc.), refine his hand-eye coordination skills, and vent in a controlled way in words when the frustration strikes, on rare occasions. And the list, of how my child benefited from this facility, goes on. They organize parties and get-togethers every now and then giving parents an opportunity to socialize with each other and with the teachers at large. My kid is almost 5 now and he'd be starting at the elementary school this summer, and I do wish my kid would get the same kind of love, care, and attention, that he received at IPIL, here in his new school and everywhere else he goes. And the part 2 of my conclusion now is that, I'd strongly and wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a wonderful day care facility for their child.
