Last hour, I visited this repair center - carrying my nearly-drained iPhone owing to my iPhone…read morecharging port no longer allowing connection with the charging cable. I was under the assumption that the charging port was broken, and was fully expecting to pay $50 or so for a replacement. However, the technician who assisted me quickly identified the culprit as debris stuck inside, skillfully cleared it out in less than 2 minutes, and handed me back my phone. When I prepared to pay for the repair, she gave me the most unexpected and shockingly refreshing news that there was NO CHARGE! Given the outstanding display of ethical business practice, I would definitely return here for any future repairs involving my mobile devices or laptop, and strongly recommend this business to others in the community as well.

A couple of months ago, I brought in an older MacBook that wouldn't turn on. The employee was…read morefriendly and upfront that the computer was very old and likely not worth repairing unless I needed the data. I appreciated the honesty and asked him to take a look anyway since it still serves a purpose for my 5-year-old. After testing it, he determined it was the charger and sold me one for $40. While I was there, I also asked if he could reattach the "V" key on the keyboard. He took a quick look and told me it was broken, but offered to replace it for something like a $20 charge, which I declined. Later, the spacebar snapped off, so I finally looked into fixing the keyboard myself. After a 5-minute YouTube search, I was able to reattach the spacebar and snap the "V" key right back into place. It wasn't broken at all. But here's my issue: my guard wasn't up because I assumed I could trust the advice I was getting. Looking back, the charger he sold me consistently goes for around $20 online in very good condition, and the one I got was pretty beat up. As for the keyboard, either he was trying to upsell me on a repair I didn't need, or he didn't know how to fix something that took me less than 5 minutes to figure out myself. In hindsight, I don't feel like the advice or pricing was very trustworthy. No real harm done, but I'm writing this review as a heads up to others. Double check prices and maybe get a second opinion on any repairs that are recommended. Hope this helps someone. +++UPDATE, Hi Ray, Fair enough. I don't know enough about computer repair to say whether your assessment was correct or not. Based on the videos I found while reattaching the key, all the pieces appeared to be intact. I was able to snap it back into place in a few minutes, and as of now it feels and functions just like the other keys. Time will tell!? If it turns out the key was damaged in the way you described, then I'll gladly stand corrected. As for the charger, I think your point about retail pricing versus online pricing is fair. In hindsight, I probably should have done a little research before purchasing it. That said, after seeing what these chargers typically sell for and considering the condition of the one I received, $40 still felt high to me.

Things to consider: 1. While locally convenient, it took 4…read moremonths to fix my tape deck. Unfortunately had to return it 3 days after I got it. 2. Had to wait another 2 months for the 'Warranty' repair to be completed. After 3 months, I had to call several times for a status/update, always with the same response: 'Waiting on the part'. Within 2 weeks after the 3 months, finally got a call it was ready. 3. Went to pick it up, and was told I owed $30.00, for parts. Asked why since it was returned within the warranty period, now get this, "it was out of Warranty"...ya see how this works now! 4. Sooo...after taking my tape deck home, after the 'Warranty' repair, discovered the tape deck was severely scratched across the surface face. 5. Finally. After 2 days of playing tapes, tape deck didn't work, again, severely dragging. I reported the issue and asked for them to fix, guess what, it was "Out of Warranty". Stated if I wanted it fixed, they will charge me again! In conclusion, you might be better off going to a more reliable & responsible vintage stereo service.

He gave it back with one of the reels missing. When I pointed out the missing piece, he got very defensive and aggressive but never owned up to losing or breaking it. Regardless, I still lost, having paid for him (cash only...hmmm) to look at and not getting it repaired and getting my item back with a missing piece. I seriously question his integrity and would NOT recommend doing business with him.
