    Monique is amazing!! The salon is such a vibe. I feel so excited to go get my hair done. The front desk is very helpful. Love it here.

    my wife patronized this salon for approximately eight and a half months, and in that time I have…read morenever encountered a nail technician--let alone an owner--whose demeanor was as consistently condescending, dismissive, and devoid of accountability as Vivian. my wife has been having her nails done for 27 years, and at no point in those decades has she been subjected to the level of attitude and deflection she experienced here as i was there all the time. She extended far more grace than was warranted solely because the work itself is good--however, let me be unequivocally clear: comparable quality can be found elsewhere for less money, provided one is willing to do minimal research. My wife ultimately did exactly that and found someone closer to home who executes intricate designs flawlessly, without belittling clients or dismissing their requests as "AI," as Vivian repeatedly did. What is most troubling is the complete abdication of responsibility Vivian exhibits as an owner. She openly complained to us about being stressed, about staff who "don't want to learn the harder work," and about how this somehow becomes the client's burden to bear. That is not leadership--that is deflection. If the salon is understaffed, phones go unanswered, appointments run perpetually late, that is a management failure, not a client failing. Despite arriving on time for every appointment, she was routinely made to wait 15-20 minutes, only to be told--astonishingly--that this was somehow her fault. Her justification? "Well, you see how I work." That is not an explanation; it is an excuse. On several occasions, when Vivian asked her to choose a design and she deferred by saying, "You can pick," she consistently selected designs that were significantly more expensive. When she later complained via text that my wife's designs put her behind"--despite the fact that she chose them herself--she claimed she "wasn't blaming her," while doing exactly that. Her unprofessionalism reached its apex when she questioned a tip due to a misunderstanding. Let me clarify something Vivian appears not to grasp: as the owner, no one is obligated to tip you at all. Nonetheless, she tipped over 20 percent on many occasions, based on the quality of work--certainly not the attitude. In all her years as a client, she had never had a service provider question a tip, much less suggest she could "give more next time." That was insulting, patronizing, and wholly inappropriate. In fact I told her to stop seeing her at that point because I was shocked at that. Additionally, she was charged $130 for a Halloween set where she explicitly requested two ghost designs only in the two ring fingers. Despite her reiterating this during the service, additional designs were added without consent, followed by a full charge. Being told "don't worry" and then billed anyway is deeply untruthful and concerning. Vivian also contradicts herself repeatedly. She initially claimed that everyone at the salon could do what she does, only to later state--in writing--that they cannot. One technician can "only do simple," yet clients are told all services are equivalent. This inconsistency is misleading at best. Lastly, threatening that "bad reviews ruin a business" is profoundly ironic. Your attitude is what will damage your business, not honest feedback. What Vivian heard from her and myself recently was not sudden hostility, but months of accumulated frustration stemming from her refusal to accept accountability, her habit of twisting narratives, and her tendency to project operational stress onto paying clients. Hire staff capable of advanced work. Train or replace those unwilling to learn. Delegate scheduling and phone management. Most importantly, stop blaming clients for problems that originate at the top. Any response to this review will likely be more of the same--deflection and excuses--which will only further validate every concern stated here.

I have never been to Linda before, so I sent her pictures of my hair (to see the length), and when we spoke on the phone I told her I had previously dyed my hair with product from Sally's in December. I have gotten a perm on long dyed hair before, and two different solutions were used on my hair, one for the virgin roots and one for the dyed ends. Linda told me the product she uses is for treated and untreated hair and that it shouldn't be a problem. The only stipulation I told her before coming in, was that I did not want to cut off any length. *these are facts, no opinion involved in those statements* When perming my hair, she used a smaller sized rod on my hair. Since my hair is long, she didn't want the weight of my hair to loosen the perm faster. This makes sense, except for the fact that my hair is way too long to put the entire length on just one rod and expect the solution to penetrate deep enough for the ends to curl. I'm not the 'professional' here, so I just trust her judgement. After my entire head is curled, she starts applying the solution to my head, during which she got solution in my eye. Once she was finished she said, "well I went over your entire head twice, so hopefully that'll be enough to curl it". Not exactly inspiring confidence, but again i'm not the 'professional'. She brings me to the sink to wash out the solution and take out the rods. Now at this point in a normal perm you are supposed to apply what is called a neutralizer that helps the hair follicle close (the perm solution opens the follicle to allow it to become curly). Linda did NOT do this to my hair. By the time I got home, my hair was fully dried and I noticed that the ends seemed pretty straight. I assume this is just because she brushed my hair out to trim it, and perms never look good on the first day. I texted Linda to inform her and she told me it was probably the brushing and to wet my hair. I wait 48 hours and then wash my hair. Here's where things take a turn. I send Linda pictures to show her that my ends are still straight, and ask how we can fix this. She calls me and says how she 'does good perms' and 'this never happens'. That's fine, people mess up. I just wanted it fixed. We ended the call with her agreeing to re-perm the bottom half of my head and she is going to call me back when she has an opening for me to come back in. About 20 minutes later, she texts me and just says how it looks like it didn't take because of the color that was on my ends. She is now not only not agreeing to re-perm my hair, but continues to blame me for not being honest about the products I used, and is only willing to cut my hair to "see if it will bounce up". Remember when I said the only thing I didn't want to do was cut my hair? She refused to even give me a partial credit, because "I'm not responsible for something you did at home that compromised your ends". This obviously infuriates me, because I sent her pictures of my hair ahead of time and went out of my way to tell her I dyed my hair around 6 months ago with product from Sally's so she would know going into perming my hair. We end our texting exchange with the screen shot you can see attached to this post. Every text she sent was as unprofessional as this one. She never took an ounce of culpability in the results of my hair, and was rude and dismissive. I spoke to two other hair professionals, both of whom said my ends were perfectly fine, and that she shouldn't have put all of my hair on one rod and instead have done what's called a piggy back technique. The first picture is what my hair looked like wet and dried after Linda permed it. And the second picture is my hair wet and dried after Marilyn re-permed the ends for me. Please note that Marilyn did not remove any color or do anything to my hair because re-perming the ends. As you can see, my ends are in fact NOT compromised as the perm took perfectly and I have the curled hair I should have gotten from Linda in the first place. I only ever asked for HALF of my money back so I could get it fixed. They refused and continued to deny any fault. I will note that the salon owner offered me 3 products to try to help my hair, which I appreciated but it the bare minimum that should have happened.

Never had a bad experience until recently and I stopped going. I was a regular every 3wks always made an appointment in advance with Casey. I'm not sure what happened but the two men they had working there left leaving just Casey. Four months I went in for my appointment, once completely closed down I had to go next door to the hair salon and ask them if they would take my number and pass it on. After that I'd show up with an appointment and was asked to wait or come back. Stupid me I waited. The next time I arrive she's got one in the pedicure tub and one in the nail station she casually looks at me and said ohhhh Debra I'm going to be late. Absolutely no regard or respect that I had an appointment... I'm what?!! I very nicely told her no and I would not be back. I've found a new salon, after all they are everywhere.. But what really gets me is that I stuck it out with her for over a year when she took over, she had my number not once did she pick up the phone to apologize, say that she valued my business.. Do people even do that anymore? Very, very unprofessional thinking her time was more valuable than mine.

I called and asked for an appointment with a Rachel and when they said she no longer worked there I booked with another stylist. I got Tara. I asked for only a little trim because I'm growing my hair out from a pixie and I SPECIFICALLY told her I did NOT want the layers on the left (fuller) side of my hair shorter than the right side. She started cutting and I mentioned she was cutting a lot off, she simply said it was dead and she had to so I let it go. I was sad but I let it go. I declined a blow dry and went home with wet hair. When my hair dried not only did I realize the inches she took off, but what did I discover?! The layers on the left side of my hair are WAY SHORTER than the right side! Also they flip out in a ridiculous way because she cut through a curl in a weird way. I look lopsided and ridiculous. I'm SO disappointed and furious.

I had a wonderful Signature Facial and really liked that she doesn't blow the hot steam in your face and then walk away! I always hated that part of a facial so this was so nice. It's quick easy and you get a reminder. It's especially helpful for those, like me, who forget appointments. She is located inside Bellazza Day Spa on Grove Street in Franklin. Bonus, she's closer to me now. Her new location is nice and quiet and a much more relaxing atmosphere. Her room is inviting as is she. Her facials are amazing. She pays attention to any issues you have with your skin and gives great advice on ways to fix it. When I leave my face is always feeling nice, clean and rejuvenated. I'm always amazed at how bad my skin was before a facial compared to after. She's the one person I've been seeing for facials and the one person I will continue to trust with this face of mine.
