I arrived for a manicure and pedicure, and upon entering the salon, a staff member showed me a service menu listing the price as $75.00. While the manicurist, Geissi (I'm not sure if that's her exact name), was attending to me, she tried to take photos of my nails without my permission, claiming that this was allowed in the United States as long as my face wasn't in the shot. She assumed I was unfamiliar with local laws regarding the right to privacy and the protection of one's image. I refused to let her do it, and I was even told that I was the only customer who had ever refused until then. When it came time to pay, the salon owner, Joice, charged me $82.00, claiming the menu I had been given was outdated. I had actually intended to leave a generous tip, but I decided against it due to their lack of honesty and professionalism. I considered calling the police to enforce the price listed on the menu, but I ultimately decided to just pay and leave. I paid $40.00 in cash and $42.00 on my card (I have a photo of the receipt). I am posting this review on Google to warn others about the salon's dishonest and illegal practices and to discourage them from visiting--especially since the salon is located in an unsafe area. I felt extorted, and I will not return to a place that lacks such basic honesty and professionalism. Another important detail: the owner, Ms. Joice, is a liar. She claimed the service menu was outdated and that the website already listed the manicure and pedicure price as $80.00. I checked the website and discovered yet another lie; this makes me believe that the quality of the salon's services and products lacks any credibility, as the owner sets a terrible example for her staff. read more

I said I like bangs that sweep down and off to the side and I'm growing out the layers (one length) I ended up with roughly uneven cut bangs that do not sweep to the side and roughly chopped unevenly layered hair that I am forced to go on vacation with. Looks awful. When I put my glasses on the sides stuck out awkwardly. Guess I'll be wearing a hat and head scarfs for a while. read more

I got a Brazilian wax done by Raquel and it was excellent. The salon is spotless, and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming for my first visit there. The wax was about as painful as any other wax I've had, there's no getting around that. However, the real standout was that once the wax was over, they tweezed any remaining baby hairs that couldn't get picked up by the wax. Serious attention to detail. The reason why I took the time & gave this place 1 star is because a few years back I was goin through a little rough spot/breakup an wanted a little change in my life and wanted something different to help me feel more confident about myself So I went to THIS salon to get a soft pink/gray coloring to my hair. mind you, my hair is thick curly, its dark brown with Tints of light brown &they complained that my hair was wayyyy to dark to bleach & that the color wouldn't come out looking right on my hair type. They also said they would have to bleach my hair 3x or more just to get my color out! Mind you I'm getting charged 380$ so she told me that I should go for a bright/bolder color so it can come out right. Long story short Idk how she made me agree to this ugly bright bold magenta color, looked like a neon magenta I wanted to die after seeing my end result but that's not NO WHERE near the worse part!!!!!!!! wen my hair was done I hated the look of my hair! & my cutt she gave me was wayyyyy too short an I looked like an absolute mess leaving they're salon! And for that mess I was charged a whopping 380$! For a cutt an color I didn't want or like I Already had lower self esteem from just how the cutt came out... BUT NOPE. A Few weeks later I come back in to get a blow out. While I was waiting I overhear a few of their colleagues talking about me in the back part of they're salon, I was towards the front of the salon in the last chair sitting in the waiting area & overheard their employees talking about my hair and how it's EMBARRASSING that people like me come into there shop with such bad coloring and cuts an makes them look bad she also said to her other employee that "it's goin to make people think we did that to her hair an it's going to scare all customers away". I NEVER went back to their salon after that because she said it loud enough so I could hear it, she wanted me to hear it so I did what she wanted so they wouldn't loose their customers. IF y'all don't know when you people especially women go to a salon it's more than just doing a girls hair, you need to trust the person whose assisting you with your hair. It isn't normal getting judged in a salon. A place where you go looking your worse so you can come out looking your best ... Since this day I haven't stepped foot back into a salon as you can see in my profile pic my hair grew back out an I took out the ugly magenta color they wanted to put in my hair so badly. I went in to see Joyce, whom my co-workers had been raving about for a while. So I figured I would go right before my upcoming trip to the Caribbean. I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous of someone all up in my area but the minute I walked in the girls were super friendly. Everyone greeted me very nicely. I was escorted to a room and given specific instructions before Joyce came in to see me. Once Joyce came in she told me to relax, and said it would be quick, and that she would give me a break if I needed it. It was a little painful, not going to lie, but she insisted that the first time Is always painful and reassured me that the next time I went into it wouldn't be so bad. All I could do the entire time was laugh. After every strip, more laughter. I guess you could say it was my way of coping with the pain a little bit - haha! I got my first Brazilian at almost 40 years old with Angela, I was so nervous I almost canceled the appointment. I am so glad I didn't! Angela is now one of my favorite people! I am so glad I found this place!! It's not in the fanciest area but once you walk in you're at immediate ease. Access is very easy - right on a main road off the highway. The salon is lovely. I'd recommend they spruce up the wax rooms as some could be turned off by the simplicity there. It didn't sway me though. The service was excellent.
