We arrived about 10 mins before class begun to check in and we were told we were on "stand-by". Interesting since we booked the class 2 days ago and it didn't mention anything about a waitlist. We also mentioned it was our first time and instead of walking us through what to expect, we were brushed off and told to wait as she helped person after person get checked in. We saw another first-timer be told a run-down of what to expect so it was disappointing to know we weren't given the same treatment... I couldn't believe the amount of people just waiting around. Not kidding - must be around 40+ people. We heard the class enter the room and start their warm-up as we're still waiting around the front. No one else was around. Another employee went in to check what spaces were open- shouldn't their system be able to tell them that? We are so confused at this point... Finally we're told we can go in and are only told where to find the weights. We jump into the first half of the floor series, not warmed up or stretched. The workout itself is very tough, especially the running. I felt light-headed after my first run which was a little concerning. The instructor, Mackenzie, mentioned a list of first timers by name but mine and my friends were conveniently left out- not that I care but how could that be??? It was very tough to maneuver around the space as the benches, people, weights and water bottles were always in the way. Putting weights away was more like a crowded tip-toe...be careful not to trip or run into someone in a dark red lit room. After the workout, there was a line of people just to get out the door and we stayed to cool down. Most people left before the cool down. There were tons of people around the lockers and slowly moving around the lobby. So claustrophobic! I couldn't wait to leave. In the silence outside, my hearing was left muffled by the extremely loud music I endured the past hour. TLDR; felt unwelcomed, my friend and I didn't have a spot in class despite booking 2 days in advance, held hostage at the front lobby and did not have a chance to warm up, loud music, extremelyyyyy crowded. This was not for me.

Overall, this gym is fine, but it really needs to be upgraded in certain ways. The staff and the…read moreclientele are very nice, and it's very well priced - which is probably why it is also in need of upgrades. I'm sure it's not easy to keep it clean and updated on low membership rates. They have all the equipment you need for working out, but it's old. They also have a good variety of classes, though I wish there were more evening and weekend options. A couple of the teachers are outstanding (Denise, Laura, Norma). The dance classes are not very good. The locker room is clean and well maintained. The room for classes is really in need of a remodel. There is a big slope in the floor, and parts are peeling or cracked and need to be replaced. The equipment is often dusty and some things are just dirty. There is a lot of dust everywhere, and they don't wipe down or sweep between classes, or disinfect the equipment in the gym or the exercise room. The mats get used and put back as is. Recently in a yoga class, I inhaled a mound of dust from being down on the floor and it was pretty gross! There are fans that need to be hosed down and every time they go on a little waft of dust comes out. I hate to complain because I'm grateful for the good things this gym offers (location, price, staff & members are very nice - no "scene" and nonsense!). But they also need to refresh a little bit would go a long way.

I grew up always wanting to be like my physically fit Mom and one day many years ago, she introduced me to Lisa Raffay, owner and personal trainer at House of Fitness. This became a life changing experience on so many levels. Lisa is an amazing expert at personal training. I love that she sincerely wants to get to know not just you, but what exactly your needs and expectations are for her and her staff. In my case, I was dealing with knee injuries, inflammation in my shoulder, and she was able to get me out of pain. I always thought my discomfort was just a way of life! Her personal training staff are by far the most professional, friendly, and sincere I have ever been around. The energy in the gym is upbeat and everyone is like a family always smiling and making sure your needs are met. I promise you will not be disappointed...quite the contrary, you will get addicted!!

As a founding member of Life Time Fitness, I've been with the gym since day one in 2022. Over the…read moreyears, it's truly become my third space. The facility itself is beautiful, upscale, and consistently clean, with thoughtful amenities like Kiehl's products in the locker rooms that make the experience feel elevated. What really makes this gym stand out, though, are the amazing instructors. Cory for spin, Mariah for mat Pilates, and Haly, Isaiah, and Carmen for Alpha are some of my favorites. Last year, around May 2025, they introduced CTR, a reformer-based Pilates class that was a total game changer for me. I no longer needed to go to a separate Pilates studio. Rob and KO helped build the program, and they were both spectacular. Rob is rarely there now, and KO recently left the gym. In my opinion, Anisa Diaz is an exceptional CTR instructor. Honestly, she's great in every class I've taken with her, including spin and mat Pilates. No two CTR classes with her are ever the same. She's incredibly knowledgeable about the human body, has excellent flow, and every movement feels intentional and challenging in the best way. She consistently brings fresh ideas and new challenges that keep the classes engaging and fun. She truly elevated the entire experience. However, over the past few months, some of her classes have been cut, and I feel the CTR program has started to feel lacking and subpar. Because of that, I've found myself returning to private Pilates studios like Drenched OC, Anodetome, Sol, and Jetset Pilates, which are all fantastic if you're considering a private studio experience. At this point, I mainly take CTR at Life Time only when Anisa is teaching. Overall, I'm still very happy with Life Time. I just wish they would bring more energy -- and Anisa -- back to CTR.
