I should have left when I saw the masses of people, but after 2 years I was determined to give them another shot. I didn't order any food just a drink. They certainly don't have the best craft beer selection soooooo I ended up with a Stella. Sigh I paid for my drink and closed out my tab immediately. The vibe here is just not for me. I remember going to Marty's PM all the time when I was in my 20's after a shift. So I was shocked to see the banner one day when I was picking up some Chinese take-away for lunch. First of all let me tell you this is a Safe Space for LGBTQ people. Sarah, Leslie, and Austin are legends. The whole staff is so sweet and the people are really friendly. There's another really cute guy who tends bar and I am so bad with names it kills me. I popped in a few weeks after they opened and I'm now a weekly regular. Best of all, NO ONE UNDER 18 Allowed! So no kids running around. It's a dream come true. The bar has a great selection of canned and bottled beers with a Happy Hour that helps your wallet. A good selection of wine and liquor to. No draft as of yet, but ya don't need it. My Usual order is a IPA and a Shot of Fernet. But I can never leave without a Resting Peach Face Frozen Cocktail or a Bushwhacker. Ask for a Fernet Topper on you're Bushwhacker. I call it the Emmy Jane Special, no one else does XD. Trust me it works. I love the Egg Rolls and The Burgers. The Dutch boy is a fave, but the Big Mick is also delish. They have a lot of weekly events, Karaoke, Trivia, Live Music. Follow their Facebook for their yummy weekly specials. Save me a Seat at the Bar on Thursdays! Tell um Emily sent you for a free absolutely nothing :) .

First, I can appreciate the aesthetics of the restaurant, definitely a family style vibe. I'm not familiar with the area, so the parking was perfect. Step out your car and you're inside the restaurant within a few steps. Food, I ordered the grits and eggs. Not a great presentation but the tastes was ok. My friend ordered a sandwich with fried green tomatoes. She thought that the tomatoes were delicious! The batter on the tomatoes was crispy without being soggy. They were seasoned just right, in her opinion. Overall the food was ok. The service was really good. There seems to be a need for a little more training for the wait staff, which happens at most places these days. The staff were very courteous and professional, just a little confused in taking orders. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. I would go back.

Including a key Garden Burger for my vegetarian daughter. Once she decided on a Cheese Quesadilla as an alternative, The sidewinder fries and tots were also not available as sides. The Street Corn Dip starter was the highlight. We were all scraping the sides of the bowl to get every last morsel. My daughter's Cheese Quesadilla was larger than she expected and filled with a lot of cheese. I split The Social Burger (beef patty topped with Gouda cheese, pimento cheese, local strawberry pepper jelly, fried green tomato & onion straws) and Shoestring Fries with my wife. For lunch it was enough, especially with the appetizer. I would order again! My son-in-law enjoyed his Trussvegas Burger (beef patty topped with cream cheese, jalapeno peppers, local strawberry pepper jelly, bacon & onion straws) and Fries as well. The person taking the order over the phone was very pleasant to deal with and likely was the same energetic person that took care of my wife when she picked it up. The 2 previous times have eaten here were dine in and I don't recall any of the service issues mentioned by others and the food was great then too. I hope that they will improve the website experience to include a current menu because that is key for us as well as others with dietary restrictions in preparing for and planning meals. This wasn't our first choice but being open at lunchtime on the holiday helped make the decision for us. We might try it again but other places will likely remain our first choice.

As I walked in the bartender yells at me, "What part of banned for life don't you understand....?" Fortunately, the PTSD keeping me on perpetual edge kicked in immediately and I responded, "Hey you're wearing my t-shirt you... give it back. And, how can I be banned from a place I've never been before?" The bartender and I then got down to the long history of Marty's PM (formally in Five Points), the legal and jurisdictional control of lifetime bans, and general 'long time no see, how you been?' chit chat. The place is situated in a nearly empty strip mall, which gives it a slightly post-apocalyptic vibe. It was nevertheless pretty crowded. They seem to be serving the same healthcare professionals/biker crowd that used to populate the 5-points version back in the day. I didn't try the food, but it looked pretty good. The prior version had one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches to be found. My only knock on the place would be the lack of draft beers. I toughed it out drinking Jack and Cokes. It's a little out of the way for me, but I suspect I'll be back sooner rather than later.

They never have the best selection but I got a 9.82 two hearted IPA on draft. That's oddly high for a draft beer but whatever! I got annoyed because the lady working swiped my card without asking me if I wanted to leave my tab open or not. Good thing I asked bc she had left it open. We all know an overnight open tab most times result in a fee. I don't think an assumption here was appropriate. I finished up my crawfish and closed that tab and left. It's an interesting mix of people. Retired frat guys playing pool, usually an odd wedding party, a couple of resident characters in leotards. It's like a watering hole in the Safari, lots of different cats intermingling. It's fantastic. True to its name, it does remind me of New Orleans. The ominous folding table and chairs in the parking lot with ashtrays is hilarious. Truly a liminal space if you open your mind to that. Inside is warm and decorated with memorabilia/paraphernalia of bar nights past. We did karaoke with Connie. We had the premie baby (vodka or gin, on ice, in a giant pickle jar). You're not bar-hopping if you're coming here. This is your final destination of the night. Prepare for that. It was somehow near 3am when we left, and the room had not cleared out a bit.

But within an hour it got slammed with college age people. I signed up for karaoke right behind my friend and sat down to wait. I really liked that they had a little ticker on the screens that showed who was coming up next... Except it wasnt accurate at all. I watched as person after person got called up, out of order, and they sang 2 or even 3 times. The guy running the thing decided even though there were 20+ people in line to sing that he was gonna insert himself to sing multiple times, which is my BIGGEST pet peeve with karaoke. You are being paid to let people sing and you insert yourself? Anyways, one of my friends finally gets called up to sing. And halfway through her song, some drunk nepo baby decides its his song now. Walked up and physically pulled the mic out of her hands and took over singing the song. Security watched it happened. The guy running karaoke watched it happen. They did nothing. Her boyfriend and I had to threaten to remove him from the building to get him to give her the mic back. and then he did it again at the end of the song. I was there for 3 hours and never got called to sing. Every one of my friends were called up. and my name was forever at the "#2 in line to sing" for most of the night. To top it off, as I closed out, another drunk guy tried to snatch my credit card away from the bartender as she handed it to me. I had to reach out and grab it before he could. In my 36 years alive, Ive never been in a bar fight but it was close to happening TWICE at this place. I wont be back. (Bartenders werr nice but the guy running karaoke needs to hang it up and let someone thats not in their 80s run it.)

Dedicated to first time visitors to this concert venue…read more My wife & I are local from a nearby county, 04/02/26 was OUR first time. My wife 59,  I'm 68, we're married 42 yrs. 1. Park 2. VIP MEET 3. PPit Entry 4. GA Entry We met so many great Americans from Maine to Nebraska.  From Texas to Ohio. 1. Parking: Parking is no issue. I parked in a zone paid twice to stay valid. Total $10.60. Safe & close. 2. VIP MEET 4 pm a line formed at the FRONT door  for "VIP GREET". 3. PPit Entrance Gradually, a line formed on the left hand side of the building as you face the front about 1/3 of the way back.  This line was for the "PPit" area. I saw a venue employee in a yellow t-shirt, and was told to go for GA 4. GA Entry GA LINEs at wooden gates on the OPPOSITE end of the block from front doors. We could BOTH enter there.  ( in the back of that whole block from the front ). These gates appear like they might be hiding a "dumpster entrance" until you "peep" inside. Then you see the "General Admission" signs. The venue has absolutely NO SIGNAGE" OUTSIDE anywhere around the block. Gates don't open until what's posted on their website. They don't even begin to set out flags, tables, any kind of "signs" they are about to "open" until 10 minutes before time to open.  Be prepared to show ID if you want to drink alcohol. You get a yellow wrist band with "21+" all over it. Once entering, they scan your ticket, be prepared to remove EVERYTHING from your pockets holding it ALL in your hands above your head while they use metal detectors for your safety. Now you are inside. It's a nice outdoor venue for this show. There's a few picnic tables for eating and resting. We did not sample available food so I cannot comment on it except to say there were food trucks there. Our first beer was 24 ounce Coors Light. I'm not exactly sure why, but they just tasted different from any Coors Light I ever had. They have to pour them in a plastic cup. Maybe that changed the taste. I don't know. The total cost for the 2 beers was about $30. I don't recall seeing "prices", that was merely an unexpected surprise. Then it came time to get the wife in the "Preferred Pit Area" and we learned then she was going to have to have a "Special Wrist Band" and that we had to walk to where people were "entering" the venue from THAT line. My wife not wanting to be "rude" to people in that line, almost made 2 critical mistakes, ( thinking about getting in the END of that line ) First, almost leaving the venue with a beer. Second, almost voiding her own ticket since "if you leave there's no re-entry." Fortunately, security stopped her as did I, and we got her that special "Preferred Pit Area" wrist band so she could enter into the pit there. Our second beer was "Good People IPA" because they only had COORS as a recognizable brand, but neither of us really found that beer "palatable". Total for 2 beers, $19.60 with tip. Security allowed me to pass through the ADA section to pass the wife her beer. Maybe we're just not accustomed to craft beers. I recommend sticking with COORS TBH. They have many craft beers if that's your thing. We enjoyed the show, although a couple of times to rest her left knee, my wife squatted quite a bit, or down on one knee and out of abundance of caution? They rushed security or fire medics to her aid to make sure she was doing OK every time she went to one knee. I'm happy the venue took that extra care, although it eventually became redundant. We never tried their cocktails but it appeared like they might have been fantastic just by judging the intoxication level of the ladies, there.  There's your supportive pointers.  Where to find lines for entry, remember to get those wristbands that aren't mentioned anywhere. And don't accidentally wander out of any open gates. I owe a debt of gratitude to the young lady who bought my wife some water, and the rest of the ladies in the "Preferred Pit" who looked out for her. "THANK YOU". Leaving was uneventful as we decide to sit and wait on others to leave and we left together. We made friends and many nice introductions with a lot of people from all over America. It's not really necessary to get here 2 hours early. Relax in Parking and introduce yourselves to each other. Head to the gate about 30 minutes until time. Hopefully the venue reads this, updates outside with  signs, and realizes just how many visitors from ALL across AMERICA comes  here!
