Described to us as an upscale dive bar, this place delivers. It is so cool and interesting, we spent quite some time just looking around at the different stuff, rooms, and tables. Each table has its own "theme", there are games in the tables, interesting and eclectic chotchkies and other items abound! We sat at the bar the man behind there gave us great service, made great recommendations and was super friendly and attentive. So many things to see - I could play eye spy for days and still have things to see! Really fun bar! We had a good time here on a Friday night. I think we got lucky because we were able to get a table immediately. We also got a cool table on the second floor overlooking the lower floor. Each table is unique so it will be a different experience every time you come here. No food but they had some fun cocktails. I was nervous about the one I ordered but I actually liked it a lot and would get it again. Bubble machines go off every once which was unexpected and made for fun pictures. Amazing! Fun! Relaxed! Entertaining! I was in town for work and I met friends here after work, good lord I'm so glad I did. It's fantastic. I sat there for about 10 minutes just gawking and everything on the walls and floating over our heads. When I went to the bathroom, I stopped by the womb room and what a hoot that is! We were taken care of by Stormy, and she was a blast. Knew the answers to out drink questions. Made great recommendations and was the perfect amount of attentive. As we sat there we played several rounds of cards against humanity and Stormy would jump in and play with us occasionally, answering a question or two. I think she had a secret stash of cards because her answers always made us roll in laughter. Can't wait to get back. read more

I've recommended House of Found Objects to people for a long time, which is why tonight's experience was so disappointing. I brought a date there for the first time after talking up the place. We walked in smiling, respectful, and in good spirits, expecting a normal interaction at the door. Instead, we were immediately met with a condescending and hostile attitude from the host and owner that caught both of us off guard. At first, I thought they were joking due to the loud environment and how abrupt the interaction was. However, it quickly became clear they were completely serious. We were calm, polite, cooperative, had our IDs ready, and gave absolutely no reason to be treated the way we were. What made it especially disappointing is that I had always viewed this place -- and the owner -- very differently based on previous experiences there. I'm not someone who expects special treatment anywhere, but basic courtesy goes a long way. Unfortunately, the owner and host tonight showed the exact opposite. The entire interaction felt completely unnecessary and disrespectful for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I don't know if we were mistaken for someone else or what caused the interaction to go the way it did. I'm sure the place will continue to do well regardless, but I hope future customers are treated with more courtesy and respect than we were tonight. read more

I was so excited to go to The House of Found Objects. I heard so many great things. Maybe I went on an off night but it just didn't live up to all the hype. We waited in line to put our name down, but the space is just extremely tight. It's not really enough room for people to walk by and wait in line. It was extremely busy so we waited a while. I was completely fine with that since it was a Saturday night. We finally got sat and our waitresses attitude was just kinda off. I get it though, like I said, it was a busy Saturday. We ordered our drinks but before we could even get our second round we noticed the floor flooded with water. So they ended up closing early for the night. Apparently it was an issue that had happened the week before as well. It honestly may have just been a really down night for them. If I go again I would go when the open or even on a weekday. read more

What a cool and quirky place! A friend and I checked out this great bar before a show recently and we loved it! There's a big screen that constantly plays footage from inside a Photo Booth that's very interesting. There are costumes you can wear while you're hanging out, but we didn't because we had to leave fairly quickly. The cocktails are inventive and fun.
