I am in the midst of selling an estate apartment and the inspector notified us that we needed to repair the barred security windows as the release hatch was not working on some of the windows. My realtor contacted Iron Custom to come out and give us an estimate. We hired them and they were punctual and performed the work. There were more windows that needed repair than we thought so Fidel and his crew needed to come out the next day as he needed more repair kits. He also noticed that one of the latches was on the wrong side of the window which would mean a window would need to be broken in order to escape a fire. He corrected that. Maybe they only care about contracts worth thousands of dollars. My 1 door wasn't worth their time. I texted pictures inquiring on quote and was told, "Sorry I'm taking right now I don't have time for two months and I don't have enough Personnel to help you sorry about that". Excuse their typos. I'm sure he meant to say he was "taken". I just feel like whether you are bringing $500 or $5,000 you should get the same basic customer service. Would he have had the time if my job was bigger? What a way to do business. This guy who is the sole owner of the scam. Asks me to send 100% of the money upfront infill attatch screenshots as well. I completely understand as a contractor asking for a deposit. But not to request a payment of 100% completely on blind faith. Then he tells me he's out of state and can't make it on my scheduled day. So you wanted to put 400 of my Money in your pocket and hope you showed up on a day your out of state. Horrible. Then he goes on about how it's a hard job and it's going to cost more money. That's BS. However I tell him charge me whatever is within reason just understand I'm not giving you 100% of the funds up front. Again a deposit yes. Come on bud. Called a few different companies and receives different quotes and ideas. By far, Mike offered me the best deal and best custom gate based on what I wanted. He was very punctual. Fence gate was e shyly what I wanted. Very professional. He listens to what u want and he gives u suggestions on how to make it better. Mike and their work is the best I have seen. He deals mostly through phone calls and text. Pretty straightforward and doesn't have a call Center as this is his company. I've encountered so many contractors during our house renovation and Mike is definitely one of the best. He did such an amazing job on our highly customized gate and we received lots of compliment. Mike takes pride in what he does and he is really good at it. It is a collaboration process that involves creative brainstorming and continuous revision to achieve the beautiful end product. He had me go to his shop many times to oversee the different stages of production and confirm the design and details while giving me options when we run into bottlenecks. I was looking for someone to do custom ironwork. After calling several places, these guys were friendly and creative. They came over right away to give us an estimate and they gave us a great ideas for work we wanted. The guy showed us some pictures of previous work and quickly sketched what he would do. I checked with some of their previous customers and they gave me good reviews and apparently these guys have been around for a long time and experienced. Within a couple of days they had finished the job and installation and I was amazed by the beautiful work they had done.
