JCR did a beautiful job installing a handrail for a stairway. The job was complicated, due to the existing stairway condition, with different angles and turns. They came out right after we spoke on the phone and measured. They fabricated and installed it the next week. They were actually quicker, but I was not ready! Called JC iron works for a quote and they came , well someone came to give me a quote the next day. Guy came in and measured even drew up what I wanted then he said someone would call me with an official quote. The next day JC called and gave me a quote I asked a couple of question then decided to move forward with the project. He came in the next day to pick up a deposit, since it was HIS first time there I again went over the stuff I wanted done. He said he would have the gate build in 5 days and installed within 6-7. At the most. 7 days later not one word from him. I had to text him/ call him to get an update. I guess that was my first sign of "boy did I mess up". Giving him the benefit of a doubt. I just asked for an update. He said he hadn't been able to find wood so it pushed him a couple days behind. I said ok, just let me know when your installing. 3-5 days later nothing. Finally on a Saturday I then again have to text him to find out what was going on, Since this was been done at a house I was moving in to I wasn't there at all times. I was surprised he said I installed this morning. Disappointed at the lack communication , the gate atleast was FINALLY installed. After work I went to check it out and of course a certain gate replacement we had agreed on , wasn't completed. I immediately call him, he apologized and said it was miscommunication between his "partner " (guy who initially showed up) and him. It took home about another week to replace that. Then a sign of relief. FINALLY everything done. Well I was in more more surprises. Within 2 weeks our drive way gate dropped to where it was getting stuck or was hard to close. I called him about., took him another 5days to show up, then another week the locks no longer aligned because it continued dropping, called him again, 3 days later he was back. Now he's making excuses, your house is this way and that ways etc. here we go...I told him my house hasn't changed since you guys first came in here to initially give me a quote! If there was any issues with my house why wasn't it pointed out first?!? So he promised to come back with additional support for the gate so it stops dropping. It's been 9 days. At this point I'm sure he's no longer going to back his work , so I'm pretty much left to figure this one on my one. PLEASE TAKE THIS AS A WARNING of the kind of business owner he is. I trusted the 5 start reviews on here, saw many warnings signs should of listen to but o guess this is what I get for trying to help out small business instead of going with a bigger more reputable company. NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM , YES I DO REGRET DOING BUSINESS WITH HIM. So many other companies out there do your self a favor and go with any others!! I just spoke to this guy on the phone, and describe roughly what I needed, which is a small security door. Without looking at any pictures of the door, without coming out to give me an estimate, he immediately said it would be $580. This is the fourth estimate I've gotten, and what strikes me the most is that it's $200 more than the highest estimate. Decided to give them a try because he was very responsive. I provided him with measurements of my commercial security gates and he was able to respond with a guesstimate. 1ST VISIT FOR ACCURATE QUOTE I was impressed by his call about 30 minutes prior to arrival so that I could expect to see him promptly. His visit went over actual measurements and an adjusted quote for the project. DURING INSTALLATION They were prompt, clean and let us know how long it would take prior to starting the job. AFTER INSTALLATION He did not take any shortcuts and it was a clean install. Security bars were aligned property. He was explaining that the screws used are superior to the standard. I contacted JC, as well as other firms, for an estimate to fence off a part of a parking area. Juan Carlos and Jorge were responsive to my calls and texts, even got to the site earlier than agreed. They were prompt, polite and gave a straight forward, competitive price. They also made helpful suggestions. Where others would take 2-6 weeks to install, they said they could do it within the week. I hesitated to give JC the job at first because they asked for a higher than standard deposit on a job (we have been scammed before) to procure materials. But after I did my due diligence, I decided to trust them.
