Great restaurant with several vegetarian options, Including egg rolls, potstickers, and tofu as a meat option! Everything was very tasty.

Food was good, but the grill portions (rice and noodles) are way too small for the price.

We are big sushi eaters, and are always looking to try a new place. It's not a "fancy" Asian restaurant, but quaint and clean. We were greeted and seated right away, and our server was very polite. The menus, table and booth were clean. Nothing sticky, thank goodness. Nice and quiet also. It's nice to be able to hear each other talk for a change. The prices are very fair for the portion size, and the food came out fast. We ordered raw sushi and hot food. The sushi was well made, and fish cut properly-not paper thin like other places tend to do. Good sized, proper portions. The ponzu sauce was really good, and I am picky about that, not too tart or too sweet. The hot dish was the human style Chicken and shrimp, which was just right. Not too spicy, and picture perfect. It definitely had NOT sat under a heat lamp, and was extremely fresh and very delicious! The sushi entree came with soup and we chose the hot and sour. Now, that is one of my most favorite soups, and they got it right. Best hot and sour soup I have ever had. In all, we give it 5 stars all the way around. I do not know why this place wasn't packed on a Saturday night. We are from Tyler, and they have some great Asian restaurants there-this one absolutely would make it in Tyler and that says a lot. I hope this review helps to bring them more customers! Thanks for a nice date night! We will be back.

I had to throw them away. Too expensive to just have to throw them away, but I just couldn't stomach it. They had a good flavor, but I couldn't take the grease. Also, their seafood dish that was shrimp and scallops -- the scallops they show are in photos are the pretty sea scallops, but the scallops in this dish were so small, I couldn't even find them at first. I didn't know where they were. It was really misleading and very pricey to only get little tiny bay scallops that were smaller than pearl onions. I won't go back there.

The obviously frozen shrimp were overcooked to the point of chewiness. What little bit of meat in the entrees, whether it was chicken, shrimp, or beef, was crowded out by the vegetables. Even the battered and fried chicken pieces for sweet and sour chicken were dried out, and the sauce was a strange thick mess with very little flavor. I hoped the egg rolls would be the saving grace, because how hard would it be to mess up egg rolls? It turns out that it was pretty effortless to make egg rolls that suck, the wrappers weren't crispy, but the cabbage was under-cooked so it still had a bit of a bite, and again, didn't really have sweet and sour sauce, so I had to load up on soy sauce for the egg rolls. The service was- meh. I got one refill and two table visits while I was there, even tho there was only one other table with diners. All-in-all I'm pretty disgusted with what I got, it wasn't worth half of what ended up being $15 after the tip. I don't splurge very often, and certainly wish I could rewind and make another choice, but at least going forward I know I won't be returning to Chen's!

Fried rice, dumplings and orange chicken only things recognizable as somewhat Chinese. And orange chicken isn't even Chinese it was invented by Panda Chinese restaurant, you know like in the mall. Vietnam, I don't do grass in my food! At least I now know Pho is over priced soup, kind like their whole Menu, the food does not warrant the HIGH prices. Got Korean BBQ ribs, came and it was Flanken ribs in a Korean sauce. Its supposed to be short ribs! Grisly, chewy, no knives in the cutlery. $17 for 5 pieces. Tried my wife's fried rice, under cooked rice, chewy and dry, really Sucked. 25 people at three tables , one waitress trying her best but one old woman in back cooking for all these people with one waitress with a kitchen helper who tried to help. Chaos! The dishes all came out in a random order, between three tables. Food took an hour to get every one served in restaurant, people waiting 45 minutes while others had gotten their food and eaten. New management/Owners supposedly. Lastly there was a gratuity charge on receipt that i didn't see and i ended up paying gratuity twice, I gave them 10% only because the waitress really did try and she had no control how food was coming out of that kitchen. TOTAL Disappointment, Avoid This place like the Plague and to all you people who think this place is so good you must have eaten there before new owner/mngt took over. You have been warned.

We repeated slowly and clearly to her. She read back the order twice. We heard her say 2 times-- Spicy Bean Curd Which was what we ordered. We received B7 Spicy Beef when order was brought out to us. Immediately the mgr on duty came out andTOLD us, she had read the order back to us twice and we should have listened better! If we wanted V2, Spicy Bean Curd, We would have to pay the full price again. We spoke in clear English, she spoke in a broken foreign accent very fast. When speaking back to us at order taking time, she spoke slower and clearer. All of us in the car heard her say Spicy Bean Curd. We believe she just pushed the wrong item on the register.I am not being racist because I am the same ancestry as her. However I was not the one placing the order. Also, She was not of oriental ancestry ! We will not be back soon. In the past We ate there several times a week.
