Not reliable…read more Initially I was very pleased with their service. I hired the crew and they did a great job cutting the grass and pulling the weeds in the front and backyard. After the initial day we had agreed on mowing the front and back lawn for us every week on Thursdays. Well...the first week they showed up on a different day not Thursday. In the weeks to follow they would show up on random days which made it difficult for us to coordinate with them so they could enter our backyard which didn't get mowed. Then they didn't show up for a couple of weeks which was also frustrating. The longest was three weeks without them showing up and no one ever contacted me or notified me. Long story short we decided to hire a different crew.

But Lynda, the only person you're permitted to speak with to arrange service, is a liar. We hired J. Moreno Tree Service to take down and manage the removal of three trees. While negotiating the service and the price, we asked for two things: 1) that an 8' section of a specific tree be left so I could make a bench out of it (this request was accompanied by a photo) and 2) that we be able to keep the ground-up trees to use for mulch. "I'll let my guys know to take care of it," Lynda wrote in a text. Guess what? She lied. The guys who came knew nothing about it and by the time I got out there, they had already cut the 8' section into pieces. When I showed the worker the request and the photo, he felt terrible; he had not been told about that, he said. When I contacted Lynda to ensure that we would be getting the mulch, she wrote, "We cant get The mulch because it's mixed with logs (sic)" When I asked why she didn't tell me that when I asked, she wrote, "Im so sorry They came from another job and couldn't it was mixed (sic") In other words, oopsie, tee hee. She had the nerve to blame it on "miscommunication" when it was right there in the text string. Lynda is a liar. Her sole objective is to agree to get you to accept the job. She does not communicate with "her guys." Lynda is a liar.

He said I could send pictures and get a ballpark quote before walking the job. I sent them and asked if he could make Friday (today) since I telecommute. I've sent several emails and Yelp messages to schedule something or hear back with his ballpark and received not a single response. I'm OK with someone saying they can't, or have no desire to do a job, but at least have the courtesy to respond. That's reflects a lack of professionalism and is a warning that I should not likely pursue it further. So, I won't. UPDATE 6/15/19 Leo, I understand you having gotten ill and am sorry for that. Unfortunately, hearing not a word, I have moved on already. My only suggestion is that when you are off work sick or vacationing you might have someone monitoring Yelp and your email, or at minimum set up your email to auto reply why you are out. So, I called them and talked with Oscar, the owner. He came by in about 10 minutes and gave me a great price on my 4 huge trees, so I said OK. Well, he came by with his guys and big trucks in a couple of hours and before I knew it they were done. Trees looked great, exactly what I asked for. I was especially impressed by the super clean way they left my yard, driveway, and sidewalk. Every last leaf and bit of saw dust was swept up. My neighbor complained about the very loud racket and sawdust in the air downwind of me, but what can you do? They had two chainsaws and a huge chipper going all the time, but the job was finished very quickly too. A couple of flower plants under the trees were gone. Must have been ripped away by the huge branches that hit the ground and were dragged away, but I can deal with that. Overall, they did a good job of protecting the existing shrubs. All the guys were very professional. They really worked well as a team I will definitely call Oscar again in a few years when the trees grow back.
