More recently, I had the opportunity to sell a beautiful home in the Berkeley Hills that sat on a steep uphill slope. There was really no way to get a good photo of the front of that house from the streeet. Again I hired Kathleen to make a drawing and it really captured the character of the Mediterranean exterior without all the wide angle lens distortion. Since then I have seen many reasons to commission a portrait of a home that I am selling, whether it is a strange angle to photograph, a less than beautiful property next door or utility poles and wires in the middle of a view. Her drawings also always make a nice going away gift to my clients after I have used them in my marketing. Kathleen is a classically trained artist who brings all of her technique, design and color expertise to each drawing that she does. And to top it all off, I can't believe how quickly she works and how reasonable her rates are. I think a listing with a hand drawn image in front of the photos says that this house is something special. I I used this company when they were just starting some years ago in trying to find an administrative assistant for my private practice. Perhaps, they've since improved, (their website looks quite professional) but besides not having had any pool of potential candidates, the owner/manager at the time having absolutely no personal professional boundaries, the way the owner and limited staff operated was bizarre and sleazy.
