Wow! This place is so cute. I've moved away from Rochester and am in town for the holidays, so this was my first time here. Five stars for the atmosphere and service! I came in with a friend early on a Wednesday evening. It was quiet, but by the time we left, business was picking up. The building itself is incredibly cute and cozy! I love the way it was decorated and seating was plentiful. I tried a pale ale, which was perfectly fine. I wish I had tried more types. I'm not a huge beer fan, so it's hard for me to tell how good it actually was. I've heard good things about the food, but I didn't actually try anything. Service was excellent. We had a waitress come by several times to check on us (maybe once per 15 minutes). The man who served me my beer was also very friendly and prompt. read more

I was here with friends and we got the 'round trip' flight which is eight beers which came with an appetizer to share. All of the beers were good and so are the appetizers- Also a great way to find out what you like at a fair price! Will definitely be back! read more

I really love IBC. New to the area and it's been an immediate go-to. I've eaten here twice and gotten Crowlers to-go a third time. Love the food and the beer, as well as the atmosphere. I've had nearly all the beers at this point as well as most food items. The stand outs for me have been the wings, Salt bread pizza, and pretzels; as well as the porter, peach beer, and tropical IPA. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the outdoor dining set-up is top notch - also perfect for the current dining environment protocols. Would recommend IBC to anyone and am glad to see it becoming an ROC staple. read more

Visited this place twice on our vacation! The food and beer were excellent, but the best part was the service!!!! We were traveling with our two young boys. The server and kitchen staff interacted with our boys and may have even let them enjoy a little extra churro dessert. read more

I've been to a lot of breweries, and this one had some really good beers. Not a large selection of them though. They had 8 taps, I would have to say their peach lager was my favorite. They do offer food but again , limited selection. The most disappointing thing was I arrived at 5:45 for dinner and I was promptly told the kitchen closes at 6:00 and had to make a decision immediately, with no apologies for this strange standard. I rushed through the menu and picked the fried cauliflower as an appetizer and the hot wings as my entree. The app was good but the wings were flavored with chili powder maybe, just tasted off. I had 2 beers there and took a 32 oz Togo, all low abv beers, the bill was $70. I assumed there was a mistake and the server kindly explained each cost as they were closing. I have been here twice, and both times were great. Over both visits I have tried their pretzels, chips and dip, queso and their wings. All were delicious and very generous portions. My favorite beer so far is the Berried Alive, and I will be looking forward to new beers they make. Perhaps a Hefeweizen? Solid place that kept a lot of the history of the building alive. read more

In my opinion, the best craft beer in the Rochester area. Every beer I have tried has been delightful. Their New England IPA is my favorite, but I also enjoy ordering a flight to try some other beers that I wouldn't think to order. They have a selection of Embark ciders for the non-beer drinkers, and they have a food menu. I've previously had brunch here, and my only recommendation would be to add a local coffee to the menu. I noticed they have added some more plant based options and I couldn't be happier about it. I'll be back soon to try their vegan "chicken" wings. read more

My partner and I made our first trip to IBC last week and it was really great overall, with just one hiccup- which is the reason for only 4 stars. The service was good, beer was very tasty (Pardee On was our fav), and the food was super yummy. As others have mentioned, the atmosphere/decor/vibe of this place is great, with Irondequoit history woven in throughout and a very hometown-feel (but I might be biased, because I grew up in West Irondequoit!). They also have some games laying around to enjoy which is honestly the fastest way to my heart at any brewery; we played some Uno while waiting for our food. So the reason for 4 stars is that it took about 35 minutes to get our 2 food items- the Poutine Loaded Spuds and the Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Normally, if a place is packed (which it was while we were there) and the food takes a little longer, I am pretty patient. However, there were multiple groups around us that came in& ordered after we did, and they were all receiving their food. When we asked the server we placed our order with about the wait around the 25-minute mark, she apologized and said it should be out soon. Another 5ish mins went by and she returned, saying the kitchen had made a mistake in preparing our food and reiterated that it would be out shortly. She also asked if we wanted a round of drinks on the house, but we had just come in for a quick bite to check things out, so we declined the offer. When she brought the food out about 5 mins after that, she said it would be on the house and apologized again. We certainly weren't expecting that, and really appreciated it. The server was really excellent and handled everything smoothly when she could tell we were getting a little hangry. I think our experience was an anomaly, and we'll definitely be back soon to give it another go! All of that being said, we absolutely loved the food when we received it- especially the Loaded Potatoes! They're small little baby potatoes, fried golden brown and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The portion for this dish was also very good for an app for 2-3 people. HIGHLY recommend ordering one of the Loaded Potato options if you decide on food when you visit. The brussels were also nice and flavorful, and I love me a good crispy brussel! All in all, we will definitely return to sample more food and beers, and I am super excited about this great addition to Irondequoit. Your beers are great! The deep fried pickles are terrific!! But yourCuban panini leaves a lot to the imagination. Flavor was good but for $11.00, there should be more pork, ham and cheese. Bf and I stopped in Saturday around 1230, first time in! There was plenty of parking spots when we arrived which was nice. There was an outside patio with heat, also Some sort of touchscreen which we weren't sure what it was?! (I posted a picture of it). When we walked in there was 2 separate seating areas, one in the bar area and one for sit down style. To order, you have to go up to the counter and then you can sit wherever you'd like. There was a decent amount of beers to choose from including a guest tap! Everyone working was super nice and helpful. Their milkshake IPA was amazing, so amazing I had to get a 16oz! The flights come in 4 for $10 or 8 plus a chip and dip $22. I was happy to see there was vegan options on the menu! We didn't end up getting food, but it didn't look yummy. I think IBC is off to a great start, and can't wait for them to carry crowlers! We will for sure be back when there's new beers out. There's also an upstairs loft area, we didn't go up there but it looked neat from the bar area. There's merchandise to purchase as well along with ridge cafe donuts!! read more

First of all, we were greeted immediately and seated in a great spot. We ordered wings and pizza along with flights of beer. A nice variety of beers from brown ale through IPAs. The Salty Bread pizza was excellent with a very unique flavor. And, finally, the wings were crispy, as advertised and the Stay Gold flavor was out of this world. The atmosphere was enthusiastic and great to have a conversation even with a full house. The service was excellent and answered our questions and served us with a smile (we could tell by the eyes even though the mask covered half her face). I feel like IBC is the modern day Cheers we all need right now. It's a fantastic neighborhood refuge of good beer, outstanding food, and amazing service. Today we spent a few fantastic hours on their expansive patio soaking up beer and snacks in equal measure, and it was wonderful. The hands down winner was the pretzel(s) which were warm, crispy perfection. The tater barrels were also excellent, but at $10 for 6 were a bit pricy. The wings were delicious, with my recommendation being to go with the Stay Gold. We also did the Cajun dry, which is excellent but will burn your tongue. Today's salty bread pizza was pickles and chorizo, which was unusual, but tasty. On the beer side, you can't go wrong with any of the NEIPAs. The Schwartz was ok, but a little coffee heavy for me. That is only relative to the rest of the experience, which was AMAZING! Seriously, visit this incredible treasure of a place. You will not regret it! read more

Second trip here for us after the opening buzz. This place has been busy both visits and seems to be doing well with the additions going on behind the space. It's really great to have a brewery in Irondequoit and I think this place has a bright future. Beer has been good both times we have been, the service has been fast and friendly, and the space has a nice touch of ROC history. Here's where I think there's room for improvement. The food options offer what you'd expect to see in a brewery but both times have left us underwhelmed. This time around it was the chips and queso..idk if I've ever described a queso as "sweet" before today but it was and it lacked the normal bite you'd expect. Both times we've gone the place has been packed (really great to see!!) but the current space is not forgiving for the volume of people they seem to usually have. Maybe that's what the new builds out back will address but I'm not sure. I think that this place willl continue to grow and improve, but right now I wouldn't put it in the top tier of ROC breweries. K2 had a similar early learning curve and now is one of our favorite spots to go to. Biggest difference is that IBC has the beer down, now just figure out the rest The good: the beer. Love this place!! Amazing menu and food options (lots of vegan options for meatless friends or people with food sensitivities). The beer is VERY good and the staff is super friendly and attentive. We were blown away by the coziness and layout, and the decor is on point. As non-vegans, we did try the vegan wings out of curiosity and they were the best vegan wings we've ever tried - which is saying a lot. The "Berried Alive" beer is a delicious berry sour, which I highly recommend. Can't wait to come back, play games, try the other menu items, and hang out. I love a good ole fashion hand-out place that is true to its hometown. This restaurant loves Irondequoit and make it very clear. All their kitchen ingredients, beer ingredients, decor, and specials have a little bit of an Irondequoit vibe to them. I even heard they want to expand to include more local businesses. I came in here for a Yelp event and absolutely loved the place. The people were so nice and friendly. For a large group of us, I never felt like I was looking for the server; she was always right there. We even got a small tour and it was interesting and great to hear the knowledge coming from the brewers. I sipped on a Peach Blonde Ale. It was light and smooth, great summer beer! I also got to try their Stay Gold wings and oh my goodness were they good. I ordered a batch to go. I also tried their queso and chips. It was really refreshing to see a little bit of meat mixed in, great twist on regular queso! I cannot wait to come back here and try out more beers and food. read more
