Love having a neighborhood ice cream shop. They have SO. MANY. CHOICES... There are too many custard choices for our family to choose. This time we got Mint Oreo and Maple. Not together, don't worry. They have lots of Perry's hard ice cream choices and also lots of options for dietary restrictions, but call ahead to find out what they are because the hard ice cream and dietary restriction choices vary daily based on availability. The milkshakes are amazing. There is always a very long line and it moves pretty slowly. You can order ahead for pick up, join the long line outside for the 2 windows, or wait on the line inside. They have seating outdoors at picnic tables in the front. We loved using the picnic benches in the back this time, they are set in the grass, as opposed to the pavement in the front. Living in the Laurelton neighborhood and being obsessed with Netsins is basically a given, and I am happy to fall right in line with that cliche! This place gets pretty packed during the summer months, but with two ordering counters and a large staff, the lines tend to move fairly quick. Over the years I have definitely discovered that I am more picky than a lot of people when it comes to ice cream, because if you are just serving up name brand ice cream identical to that in the stores, it's hard for me to give you more than a 3 star rating. The soft serve is pretty tasteless and the heart ice cream is just Perry's ice cream which is a local favorite brand. So I really can't get into it. Didn't finish anything that I bought. I've lived about a mile from Netsins for four years and I never visited until today. Not sure what took me so long, but I'm glad I went, because this place is wonderful. The location is decently sized inside and you can order both inside and outdoors at a window. They have lots of tables set up close to the building and some picnic tables next to the parking lot. I ordered inside and got one of their many soft serve flavors. They have Perry's hard ice cream available, plus sundaes, shakes, and your usual ice cream shop fare, but I think they're best known for all of their soft serves. I got the salted caramel with rainbow sprinkles and it was around $4. I also picked up a bag of gourmet popcorn that they had for sale for $5. I will definitely be a regular here! They have a ton of delicious sounding flavor options for both hard and soft ice cream and I want to try them all! read more

My rating might be blasphemous, sorry. Perfectly adequate ice cream shop, nice in this hot weather. Lots of flavors of custard, big menu with milkshakes and the like. The soft serve was a good texture and the chocolate malted had a nice malt flavor. But they were both just missing something, the chocolate was too milky for my taste and the milkshake wasn't thick or creamy enough. There are better ice cream shops further away, but if you're in Northeast Rochester or Irondequoit it's certainly worth walking here. read more

They have the usual soft serve plus some tasty Perry's hard ice cream flavors. A few worth mentioning: - cookie dough (always a good choice) - bittersweet symphony (coffee ice cream with fudge chunks) - cannoli (!) - caramel cup If I get soft serve, I must have rainbow sprinkles. It was a special treat when I was a kid, and it's a special treat now. Their portions are pretty large (I ordered a kiddie). Next time, I'll ask for a little less. It was tough to finish.
