On my recent trip to Houston, I was shown this location which was pretty neat. In a way sorta of like a food hall/flea market/artisanal goods + this coffee shop named Segundo coffee lab, which was pretty good. As always my go-to the iced latte, it tasted ok, too much milk and not enough coffee for my liking. The shops inside and overall idea of this place is pretty neat, I saw signs that people use it as a working space. It's like a repurposed industrial complex, featuring shipping container offices, retail and dinning. Overall I think it's a neat place to check out if you're from out of town/state. read more

Wasn't too many people! We liked a lot of the booths, I do wish we saw more people greeting those who walked into their shops! The woman upstairs in women's cargo was so unbelievably pleasant I could've sat up there for an hour and been happy hahaha she was amazing. I wish I took more pictures! I plan on coming back here but this is a cool spot to hangout. Went here for a meeting and really fell in love with the industrial vibe in this place. The more I explore this area, the more I see that my tribe is out here. I love cool work spaces liket his one. Sadly I wasn't able to try nay of the food sense a lot of the places were closed. OMG...why am I just now finding this place? From the outside, I was expecting what I walked into. I walked in and was absolutely impressed. There are so many different, little shops to browse, as well as a bar in the back and a coffee shop in the front. With that said, I grabbed a coffee and made my way into each shop to see what goodies they had to offer. There were sooo many things I could have bought, but I said nope..y'all with NOT take all of my money lol. Vintage clothing, dog treats, decor..all the things. They even have a sewing class, a tattoo shop, and a place to get a wax. Almost a one stop shop for all of your needs. Okay, maybe that's a bit of a stretch, but there's quite a few things to explore. Very cool indoor space with many small business of all kinds sell things they are passionate. There is only one hot food vendor here and one coffee shop. The restroom take a little bit to find but there is a restroom next to The Mood Room Garden and Bar is open to the public. most part of the Ironworks is handicap friendly but there are some shops are on the second floor and I can only final stairs to go up there. There is mural depicting what this space use to look like but no real historical pictures that I can final at this space, it would be nice to have so on the wall for people to look at it. It wish there was more hot food options here. It was fun exploring this space and they have 2 parking lots and street parking as well. read more

Thought this place was like the Post Houston where there's many restaurants inside. Sadly this is not the case, and I was so disappointed. There are 2 foods vendors when you first enter, 1 is a sandwich place and the other is a place that served things like acai bowls. If you walk thru the place past the many stores, there's a bar on the other end but I believe they don't serve food. Left and went somewhere else to eat. I was amazed that it was a cute, intimate, chill warehouse filled with local small businesses, a coffee shop, a smoothie shop and sandwich shop. Their coffee shop (Segundo Coffee Lab) has yummy coffee, usually with unique coffee creations. Some of the small businesses inside include homemade candles, homemade jewelry, couple clothing boutiques, Houstonian merch and many more! Passing through Houston and stumbled upon Ironworks--what a hidden gem! This space is such a cool, creative hub with a great mix of shops, workspaces, and a cozy atmosphere. I originally stopped in for coffee at Segunda Coffee Lab, and I'm so glad I did! Their Café de Olla Cold Brew with cinnamon cold foam was soooo delicious. My friend got the jasmine tea with raw honey, which was equally delicious. It's great to see a place that supports local small businesses in such a unique setting. Ironworks has a welcoming, laid-back vibe, with plenty of seating if you want to get some work done or just relax. I wish I had more time to explore everything, but I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Houston! I love coming here for seeing class and the Mood Room. However the parking is getting way out of hand. We paid for a class and couldn't get making because of market. I also think sick to have pop up markets where people sale the same items as the people leaving from you. Seems like bad business. read more

We kept an eye on this vacant building for years... hoping an innovative developer would come in and make something unique for the community. And so far, we like what we see. (And by "we," I mean: my beau and me.) Inside, you'll find Segundo Coffee (with great hours), a CBD shop, vintage clothing stores, vintage furniture and plant shop, a dog boutique, a pagan store (yes, they do tarot readings), a tattoo studio, realtor offices, a mortgage lending co... and on occasion there are additional pop-up boutiques, live DJs, and community mixers. I did almost half of my holiday shopping at these local boutiques. Outside... you'll find parking! The parking at your facility gets worse and worse. I showed up at 10:30 this morning to take a class at Sew Great that started at 11 am. I was over 30 minutes late for a class I paid $90 for. I took another class on junk journaling a few weeks ago and also could not find parking so I was late to that class too. I am handicapped with a handicap placard so I can't just park anywhere plus today I had my sewing machine that I put in a cart on wheels. Plus people are rude. While I was pulled in the parking lot waiting for a space TWICE NOT ONCE BUT TWICE TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE STOLE THE PARKING SPACE I WAS WAITING FOR. IM GIVING IRONWORKS A TERRIBLE REVIEW IN GOOGLE OR REDDIT OR WHEREVER I CAN LEAVE A BAD REVIEW. I pulled up this morning and there was a line around the building. I used to think Ironworks was cool but the markets and the people are too much. I'm waited over 10 minutes just to use the restroom. I used to love Ironworks but now I'm going to avoid it as much as possible. I have taken classes at Sew Great for 3 years but now I can't even find a place to park. read more

First time here and it was so much bigger than I thought it would be. There's still a lot of open spots so I'm really excited to see how it grows and what businesses move in!! I loveeee the big free parking next door and that they have a bathroom inside. I did think about how the upper floors or shops were only accessible by stairs and that would make it inaccessible to many people. There's a good amount of shopping inside and a couple beverage/ food stores right when you walk in. Along with a lot of seating in the front section! I only lot tried Segundo coffee lab and was rather unimpressed with it. As for the shops I feel like they had some really cool things worth visiting for I just wish there were more open. The bakery items were so fresh and delicious, as was the sandwich bar area, fresh bread and fresh ingredients, the coffee car and smoothie bar was also well made and all delicious quality food items. Great place to visit for a unique shopping experience. There are all types of boutiques and shops throughout this location. Anything from vintage to cafes and tattoo shops could be found here. Plenty of places to sit or snap a couple of Instagram-worthy pictures. There is also lots of parking available. So grab a drink from the cafe and stroll the shops! read more

This is an up-and-coming multi-use space that is growing into having a variety of shops and vendors inside. Most notable currently is Segundo Coffee, and excellent purveyor of quirky coffee drinks served with a smile. You will also find some vintage clothing shops, homemade wares like candles, jewelry, and incense, some traveling tattoo artists, etc. The building itself is really the star here to me as it is the original Cameron Ironworks building where the first successful Blowout Preventer (BOP), a critical piece of safety equipment for the modernizing oil & gas industry in 1920, was invented and made. There is even a restored example of one such BOP on display in all of its fire-engine red glory. Take some time to read through the history of the building and enjoy its rebirth as a quirky conglomeration of artists and vendors. read more

Of all the new food court areas this one's a complete catfish in my opinion. There are only two or three food places, and four other vintage stores/T-shirt stores in the complex. The rest of the spaces are empty. It is a new place, but the offerings they have with the stores there already isn't great. Skip it and go to the post or railway market. read more

This place is very cute! I love the vibe of the whole marketplace, so nostalgic like. They have a thrift like store inside which has lots of retro and vintage clothing. The coffee shop inside is def worth it. Great coffee, tea and small bites and great service. You can even work in their lounge area which is cool and quiet. They have a CBD store inside and some other little shops. I would love to go back. Although the plant store I must say I had a terrible experience the employee made me feel uncomfortable while I was shopping so that's the only negative I can say about this place. I stumbled upon Ironworks Marketplace one evening when my first choice was closed for a private event. Driving by, I at first thought Ironworks was a brewery. As I walked in, I immediately was impressed with the vibe of this place. There are retailers, a coffee shop that sells CBD products, and more. I grabbed a lemonade and hung out for about an hour. Ironworks would make for a cool place to work remotely---I'm planning to do just that in the near future. read more

I absolutely love this multi-purpose complex! I can eat a delicious sandwich at Second Slice and then shop at the many unique shops in the complex. It is a well kept secret area, but what a fantastic, well appointed repurposing of space. They used containers to create store space upstairs and downstairs. The Ironworks on Milby Street is phenomenal. I have visited the Ironworks before when one of the stores, Cargo Houston, first opened up. The ironworks is a collection of small, local businesses, who all are charming and unique in their own right. As of October, 2022, there is a vintage clothing store, a small dispensary, a plant shop, a tattoo shop, a dog boutique store, and a few more. The location is very easy to get to, with plenty of parking right next to the building. I mostly went for the Cargo store, and found so many great picks. I ended up spending a little less than $100 for two stylish windbreakers, a durable pair of pants, and two patches. I could easily see one of the windbreakers I bought for $100 alone, so I feel like I got a great deal. An employee told me that the owner takes pride in his work and hand selects each item of clothing, and hand washes all of them. I could easily tell by how organized the store was, and how each piece feels soft and clean. This beats most, if not all of the vintage stores that I've been in around houston. All of the picks are hits, and it feels like my searching for thrifted clothing was done for me, and I just had to select what I wanted. There is even a small fitting room in the corner that the same worker showed me to. Essential for any clothes store. The music and aesthetic inside is relaxing and industrial, which makes the experience memorable. I also had an iced red velvet tea with a warm cinnamon roll from Segundo Coffee Lab, where the service is great and speedy, even while busy. Both items were delicious and reminded me of home. Students and workers alike were present and were occupied. I myself started studying and was unusually more efficient in completing my work. The combination of being around diligent people, music, and atmosphere allowed me to concentrate. It was great to not study in a silent library or in a loud public area, it was quiet enough to not be distracted, but the background noise was at a perfect level to make me feel comfortable, and not isolated. The location is definitely a must visit for the younger audience who is looking to do some casual shopping or to get some work done. The employees are helpful but not bothersome and will let you be. But any of them will be glad to help you out and demonstrate passion for their businesses. There is definitely a personal touch in each and every store, almost as if you entered someone's room, but less intrusive of course. Overall, I recommend anyone to visit this location at least once. Whether it be a quick stop, or a longer stay, there is something for everyone here. I would add this on my list of "must visits" in Houston. The place is beautiful but that's obviously not the issue. The reason for such a low rating is because my group felt like we were being watched and the owners were hovering over us, very over bearing. Especially the Tarot shop owner. For a person that owns a shop surrounding energy and crystals, her energy, customer service, and her mannerisms were very poor and rude. My friend bought a crystal there but regrets it due to the way she was spoke to by the tarot shop owner, especially the way she was handling situations, and how she spoke with me. It was mainly the tarot shop and the shops surrounding it. They had really bad vibes. The newer shops like the candle shop, and the cookie shop had very nice vibes tho, the people seemed rlly nice. read more
