I'm sure everything on this menu positively rocks- but we keep going back to the same thing- chicken and waffles and hash browns : "The Johnny Lytle" Chef's Kiss!

This placed is tucked inside a building with 7-15 other restaurants! The line was long and went past some of the other places that offered food lol. This was a popular place and barley anywhere to sit/stand lol The waffles was ok I got them plain and they gave me a small serving of syrup and had to keep going back for syrup. The waffles was so delicious tho. Love that they have vegan options also! Go check them out!

Today was our first visit to try their food, and we are excited that we did. They have a reasonable menu ( less than 10 items if I recall correctly.) I had the warder and must husband got the leige. I LOVE MINE! The waffles are thick and just the right texture.. not too airy but not brick dense. Eggs were done just right, and bacon not too crispy but not soggy. Thr waffle itself was not super sweet. My son, who had ate at home because he didnt like waffles usually, enjoyed the obligatory trying bite and actually had more! The waffles I believe come with a side, and i opted for hash brown square. We intend on returning and trying some of the other items. I stole pictures off their website of their menu currently. Highly recommend this place for a breakfast spot. Btw, the knife is a size reference for thr waffle, you are not getting shammed

My husband and I went to this place after visiting the farmers market. The wait was a little long - not their fault obviously - but it was worth it. The waffles were delicious and had just the right amount of powdered sugar. I do wish the portion size was a little bigger but for $8 it's not a bad value! This was such a cute and cool little joint. We were from out of town, but if we visit again I think we would come back!

We were staying at the Marriott across the street and wandered over to check out COhatch since we're getting one in Indy soon. My sons tried the apple pie waffle and fruit waffle, and my husband and I had coffees. Both waffles were very good, fresh and filling, which I can attest to because I finished my sons' after they were both full. I liked the vibe of the dining room too with plenty of places to sit inside and out. We arrived close to opening but by the time 10AM rolled around the line was long and seating in the main dining room was full. We'd definitely go back when we're in Springfield again.

** location is inside an older building that is called COHatch. It is office space, dining and networking in one building. Really cool atmosphere! Iron skillet is my go to here of about 6 restaurants. Tremendous tender chicken, interesting combinations with sweet and savory options. I was impressed with the portions for the cost. I have had the Buffalo Springfield, Bushnell Sandwich, and the original chicken and waffles. It's a far drive for us but totally worth it!!

I am quite impressed with their service, friendliness, and waffles! The liege waffle was AMAZING. We got a couple different waffles, a sandwich, and their Johnny Lytle. All were good, although, I will ask for the syrup on the side next time so it isn't on the soggy side when I got to my seat. The cortados were good enough for us to order a second set of them to go!

We got the Davey Moore and The National Road. All we could say is .... We'll nothing because we were too busy stuffing our faces with this deeicious food. I have a very picky teen ... and if anyone knows anything about a child on the ASD scale, they know what I'm working with. He is especially particular about the flavor of syrup and the texture of the waffle. Half way through his waffle he said he was full .... But he couldn't stop eating because he was enjoying it SO MUCH. The chorizo on the Davey Moore was incredible along with the Sriracha mayo. I highly recommend this place! Oh! And the hash browns are perfectly gold and crispy - no ketchup needed as they are PACKED with flavor!

Delicious food. It's in the COhatch building so there is a central eating area shared by several food options.

So I was really happy when I saw that this was going to open right around the corner from the school at which I teach. I was in on the Grand Opening day (Friday, Mar 3) and the place was hopping at 645 am. The service was quick and my peanut butter latte (nonfat) was served quickly and it was HOT. The expresso machine can be a tricky machine and shots can go wrong right away, it was great. The café was full, there were students dressed like they just woke up (who I would see later dressed better at school) in line behind me. Students were coming in to school with Scout's cups and drinks in hand. They all said the same thing, they were happy with the product and the price. I failed to mention the biscotti that I purchased. It was outsourced somewhere locally and it was really good too. They have paired well with a local baker. The dude in charge (I think he was the manager) was running bagels from the back while his staff was cranking out the drinks. It was great. I went back this morning (Mon) and it was quiet. I got the same service and got to talk to the dude (Tony). He is very proud of the café that he, his sister, and other partners have created. It was clear that he was excited about the business venture. They have some flavors at the bar that they must be experimenting with , they were not on the menu and will probably not be around long. I had a Toasted Marshmallow latte this morning and it was even better than the PB one. It was really good. Service was quick and friendly. Everyone seemed awake, not grumpy. Many times morning employees can be very unfriendly, but that was not the case here. It was a great experience. I am used to coffee house type experiences in Columbus, and the SHort North. Scout's has a great opportunity to be the neighborhood place. I hope the locals all stop in on their way to work. It was clean, it was inexpensive (cheaper than Columbus prices) and delicious. I can't be positive enough on how good this is. I wish something like this had been around for years, but hopefully it will be until I retire. Good luck to the owners. Welcome to Northridge. (A few signature drinks would be awesome. I could suggest a few...hahah)

Since it's located downtown, parking can be a little more challenging, but that's to be expected and was well worth it. The staff was one of the highlights of our visit. The girls working were friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They took the time to answer questions and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. As two moms meeting for coffee with young children, we especially appreciated that they offered smoothies for the kids. While the flexible/ inclusive seating options at this location were somewhat limited, the space was so warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed that it didn't matter. The atmosphere felt comfortable and welcoming, making it easy to settle in and enjoy our time together. Great drinks, great service, and a cozy environment that encourages you to stay awhile. We'll definitely be back.
