Moved here from Texas looking for a good donut place. I never liked or understood the hype on schulers, but this place is what the real hype should be about!!! The store is easy to find. It is bright, well lit and appears to be clean and organized. Their donuts are good! We definitelyy will retun. We appreciate that they have donuts and the donuts were fresh tasty. Would recommend for donuts for sure! My daughter had their pigs in a blanket and said it was really yummy - and actually ate all of it. We did take a star because the food is microwqve zapper warm - so they ended up a little..soggy fro. Stopped in for the first time. I got a blueberry cake donut, which was not too sweet and I could taste the blueberry. Blueberry cake donut is my go to first try if the shop has it, if it's bad I'm not trying anything else. My judgment is a GO for more stops to VS Donuts! I'm very happy to have another local donut shop in town, might be tough to establish an empire in Springfield, as Schuler's is fantastic. However, I did see some very good looking breakfast sandwiches. Coffee, energy drink, pop and milk are in the cooler for beverage enjoyment; my suggestion is louis trauth dairy chocolate milk. read more

I got there by 7:30am, place was packed! It took awhile, maybe 20 minutes but I stayed in the drive thru because cars were having trouble getting out. When I did get to the window I was disappointed to learn all of their donuts were gone. The young woman suggested cinnamon rolls, so I got 1 for myself and my husband and ordered us each a bacon egg & cheese croissant. She asked if I wanted them warm and I agreed but wondered are they premade? Frozen? Not sure but it tasted burnt and I didn't care for it. The cinnamon rolls were warm, small almost put me in mind of Little Debbie cinnamon rolls since they look very similar. It was warm and was definitely deep fried. It was good but probably not worth 1.75. I'm not going to base my complete judgement on these 2 items. They deserve more of a chance and wished I could've gotten more variety. read more

I ordered the apple fritter and coffee. The service was fast. I asked about wifi and that's when things took a turn for the worse. The guy gave me something illegible on a post it. A no to WiFi wouldn't have lost a sale. The coffee was good fritters greasy and very light on the apple. They have a drive through and cheap breakfast items. ..seems like a popular place to grab and go. You're welcome. read more

Saturday morning donuts with the kids have take us to this shop recently. Always fresh donuts and a consistent product. Although I have not tried them yet, they have some breakfast sandwiches that look good too. There's ample seating inside if you'd like to eat your breakfast there and a drive thru. On Saturday mornings they are hopping but the service has always been cordial and quick. read more

Me and my husband got there right at closing time, so of course there was not a large variety, which is to be expected. This was our first visit. The donuts were still fresh. We will definitely be back. Going to get there early so we can try some of the more popular donuts that sell out quicker. A nice clean place! Service was fast and courteous! This relatively new place does have some good tasting donuts! If you want cake style donuts, this IS NOT the place! They have 3 choices of the cake donuts (at least when I was there at 6 am)! They were chocolate cake with chocolate icing, what appeared to be blueberry and a cookie and dough type cake donut! That's it for cake donuts, ok give them a 2 out of 5 for variety of cake donuts! Now for the rest of the donuts, there was a big variety! They had at least a dozen different types of frosted yeast donuts, long John's, Bismarck's (both filled and not filled), glazed donuts. So for the yeast donuts, a big variety. A dozen donuts cost me $21! A little pricey, but I believe worth it! I got 2 each of Bismarck filled and not filled, a couple glazed and mixture of long John's (12 total). The donuts I had were excellent! For the yeast variety, I give them a 5 out of 5. Overall I have to give them a 4 out of 5 for the variety, cost, cleanliness and atmosphere! I do recommend this place, but don't expect many cake donut varieties! In my opinion, the BEST donut shop in the Springfield area is VS DONUTS! read more
