My favorite part about my Marufuji is the restaurant in the back. Some of the best cuisine I've had in years. I always order a Katsudon, a bowl of miso Ramen and a large curry with rice. I can't help but grab a couple onigiri while im at it. I've ordered takeout several times and I've enjoyed every order. I'll definitely be going back

Marufuji does carry a lot of Japanese imported items you cannot find at other stores in the area, and I think it's a great addition to Tysons. All of the employees are so friendly too, I love stopping by just to browse the new stuff they get in every once in awhile. It absolutely is pricey, since it's a very small specialty grocery store. The produce they carry is fresh, but the markup is quite high. You're likely not going to come here for your regular weekday grocery haul. When I shop here I always make sure I'm shopping deals/sales, otherwise I come here for the meat. They have the best quality A5 wagyu and kurobuta pork. Again it's pricey, but even full price it's worth it for the insane marbling. I did manage to catch their wagyu on a sale where it was $80/lb which was a pretty cool find. I'm also personally a sucker for the gachapon machines at the front of the store (which rotate semi-regularly).

The service here is truly wonderful, always friendly, patient, and happy to offer recommendations. Everything I've tried is excellent, from the pierogies to the borscht, but you simply must try their sausage. Whether you get it to take home or on one of their fantastic sandwiches, the quality and flavor of their house-made sausage is out of this world. It's savory, perfectly spiced, and the highlight of any visit. If you are looking for real, hearty comfort food and a fantastic, old-school deli experience, Polka Deli is the place! Highly, highly recommend.

A lot of these foods are really familiar, and the selection is just so far and wide. I especially love how everything here is true to the ingredients and the pure authenticity of what the food is. Everyone we saw were delighted to greet the folks behind the counter cutting cold cuts, or just to show the sheer amount of pierogi they were stocking up on. At the counter, we ordered from their menu which had a very delicious borsht. It came pipping hot with some dill, and the veggies were nice and cooked down. The sampler is a must try if you want to get a good sense of the foods they offer, really enjoyed the varity of kielbasa and the hot mustard it comes with to dip. Gołąbki was generously filled and pan fried served with stove top potatos. A lot of their pastries are either imported or made in house, and it came in a good variety like poppyseed flavor. We enjoyed the food in their eating nook and enjoyed the really peaceful views of the strip mall. Really here for the homey vibes, something for just about anyone who is missing these nostalgic flavors. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I was told this is a Chinese grocery store chain, as opposed to Korean. I prefer Asian markets for the produce. The prices are reasonable, it's fresh and there is a much wider variety of vegetables. They have made a few upgrades and have new display cases for frozen foods. Check out is quick. Not much ambiance, its very simple and to the point.

Having relocating to a new office in the area, I was craving some authentic Chinese food for lunch. Upon walking into the supermarket, I knew something smelled different. Gone (or under repair) is the wet market. No fish in tanks, no turtles swimming around and no clams or crabs over ice. Honestly, the place smelled better. However, was the restaurant with the roasted meals and Chinese entrees still there? Yes! $8.49 for a meal of rice and 2 sides (1 veggie + 2 meat choices), plus a soup. I added a ginormous sesame ball (filled w red bean paste. I was hoping for lotus but yeah for price of $1.99 not happening). Total of $11.11. What did I get? Beef tendon with radish (mostly if not all radish and chuck). I'd pass. Eggplant. Yep, I'll get again. Pork patty. Yep, I'll get again. A soup came with the meal. It was tomato. It was OK. So, will I come back again for a box lunch and sesame ball? Yep, I totally will!

This 99 Ranch (in Fairfax) has been going downhill since we first started coming here (back then,…read moreevery other week!) in December 2025. It was shiny new. They truly cared about customer experience back then. Now: not so well stocked shelves. Inconsistent products. Something we love (such as lemon jelly) is never restocked. They used to have nice Taiwanese snacks. No more. Completely overtaken by low-quality Chinese snacks. It is no longer reliable. you may find something you like. Next time you come: no more. Probably mismanaged. They should stay consistent. Food court closes early; quality is low (food stale or overcooked; or laid out all day never refreshed). The one highlight was the delicious and rare find: kumquat jasmine tea. Nope. That lady closes up at like 5 pm. Very hard to find; she'd put some out there but none of those pre-made cups are kumquat flavor). They do offer a new Japanese bubble bath tablet package that smells good. It's for bubble bath, and with yuzu or citrus flavors. See my photo on this visit.
