I proceeded to throw it away in the trash can as I left. There is no need in most cases to produce a paper receipt. I have an account with HD, give me the electronic option there.

Started the process back in June, when a 3rd party sent by Home Depot measured our current entryway door. That info was sent to Home Depot and a few weeks into July, someone in their design department contacted us to pick out the door and the color. After going back and forth via email, the order was finalized in late July. Got word the first week of September that the door was ready and scheduled the first available appointment for installation today (09/28/26). The installer shows up with the door and measures the old door and the new one. Turns out the new door is bigger than the old one. Installer says he has to return the new door and I have to contact Home Depot to have them make it right. Why do I have to call? Home Depot should be calling me to assure me they will make it right. Shouldn't the installer call to tell Home Depot what the issue is? I don't have the measurements, nor do I have the patience to explain why the communication between the two parties was not made clear. It's not my job as the customer to explain what went wrong. I paid a lot of money for this and waited a long time only to be greatly disappointed by the process. I have a feeling this will not be resolved until the end of the year. Please go elsewhere if you are looking to have doors, windows, etc. done.

When informed that I was mistaken on a sticker markdown, I switched over to a different option and kept it moving. I forgot a 90 degree chuck and while I was grabbing that, the same cashier I was working with took it on herself to discuss with her manager and informed me they would honor the confusing sales price sticker that was admittedly hard to notice and seemingly on a related product. Confused at why they were going out of their way to help me I was reassured they wanted me to leave satisfied. Well they got me. I'll be shopping here exclusively for any tool going forward.
