I would highly recommend Irrigation Repair Services. I spoke with Adriana at the office multiple times and she was knowledgeable and polite. Although she was on the phone the first time I called, she returned my call promptly and left me a professional and concise voicemail when, of course, I was on the other line. My house came with some old irrigation that, as irrigation do, eventually came to that point where I needed to patch it several times a year. The only solution was to to a full make over. i sent out for several estimates, and Lance with IRS did not come in as the lowest bidder - but I had a good feeling, since he was licensed and realistic the work needed. He came out ahead of the working crew, the day of the appointment. We iterated what was going to be done, and where the unknowns were. Shortly thereafter his 3 man crew showed up and went straight to work. It took about 5-6 hours to redo my whole irrigation, and afterwards it was like they were never there. The only proof was new drippers all over my property, and a functional irrigation system to keep my palms and the few bushes I have. Afterwards Lance came back out, and went over what work was done and how it was done. I actually learned a thing or two about what was incorrect with my original irrigation, and i am very pleased that it is corrected now. Overall very smooth and professional, and backed with a 2 year warranty. We had issues with water creeping into the neighbors yard, so we assumed a leak. Lance came out and found that based on our timing box settings, we were still running twice a days for 30 minutes 7 days a week even though it was December. I had just moved to Arizona so I wasn't familiar with these systems, how they work, and how often they should run during the summer and winter months. I explained I wanted to remove the existing plants and replace with cactus plants in the backyard so did not want the water running in the back. Lance searched for the line running to the backyard (only one valve on this system) and he cut the line and capped it off so no water to the back but still water going to the front. He also gave me a thorough explanation on how the system works, how to set it to run how I want, and the seasonal watering recommendations for the plants I have. I had irrigation leaking problems that I hit a wall trying to troubleshoot. I sensed that the problem was beyond my basic irrigation skill set so I called Irrigation Repair Services and received a return call in about ten minutes. I explained my dilemma to the woman on the phone (Adriana), and she explained that she was going to check with a service rep that happened to be in my area (Ahwatukee). She called me back about fifteen minutes later and said that she could have someone out to me house the following afternoon or the day after. I explained that I was going to be leaving town and that today was the only day that would work. I was already expecting to have to call another company when she told me she would call me back again in a few minutes. The next call was received about ten minutes later and, to my surprise a service rep was going to be bale to come to my house today and would call me 15 minutes before arrival. I received that call shortly after from the service rep Lance indicating he was on his way. Upon Lance's arrival we began investigating the situation and ultimately discovered that the irrigation line fed under my driveway and the leak was in the line under the driveway within a PVC pipe. The solution was to cut the irrigation line at either end of the driveway and phish a new line under the driveway, reconnect and test. I'm guessing that in less than one hour the fix was complete. As a bonus Lance examined my irrigation control unit and corrected the settings to be exactly what I wanted and unfortunately, and incorrectly programmed previously. Rude and condescending. I shared I had a broken pipe, but that I also explained that I needed a quote for a completely new system because it's old and likely time, but would want his recommendation. He stated a couple of times that his technicians weren't going to work a job with hours spent digging around roots to fix a leak and that someone from an inferior company could do those jobs. The guy was inpatient and obviously wasn't listening or understanding. Your loss and I guess being rude to a woman who doesn't know the sprinkler lingo is business you would rather avoid? If you're company is that busy, take down your ads because the way I was treated, I would never recommend IRS. It is too bad, because I wanted to go with a local company and get an entire new system - soup to nuts and the leak finally is what made me pull the trigger to get the whole thing done. I had David out to fix a leak in the irrigation in my front yard. A few days later, I noticed two big pools of water where the drip line had been repaired. I thought it was leaking in the same spot, so I contacted David and he said he would come back to take a look. He also reminded me that it would only be under warranty if there was a leak in the same spot. Before David returned, I replaced my drip timer that had stopped working, testing my drip line and now there's no leak! The drip Gods must be on my side! Throughout this process, David was incredibly helpful and understanding. I've fixed plenty of drip leaks in my time, but David was a huge help. I needed to find a firm to come and replace a zone valve that had failed and been stuck open all night long. After researching a number of firms, I decided to give IRS a call. Lance was very professional when he answered my call, and I appreciated his honest upfront communication on what potential diagnosis and repair costs would look like. He also was very accommodating to my work schedule and was able to send one of his technicians out same day. David, the technician was very considerate and even though running late on a previous job, called and texted me multiple times to update me on his arrival. When David arrived he quickly confirmed my amateur diagnosis, and provided me a few options to replace only that valve, or to replace them all for basically the added cost of the additional parts. I decided to replace them all since they were about the same age and likely to also fail in the near future. When David was finished, he took the time to show me the parts he replaced and explain to me how they work, and demonstrated for me that the other two valves were already showing a similar amount of wear. He cleaned up the work area and you would never know he was there. One final point. My gut tells me that IRS may be a few dollars more expensive than other repair firms, but for my dollars, the honest professional approach and high level of customer servjce to ensure my complete satisfaction were completely worth it. I will definitely be calling Lance for any future irrigation needs I have, and will call him soon to provide me an estimate for new landscape lighting. read more

I have never left a negative Yelp review before, but I think this one is warranted. I dealt directly with the owner on a repair call this week, and it was an unpleasant experience from start to finish. Upon arriving, he seemed surprised at the nature of our problem, despite my having clearly described it on the phone (guess he wasn't listening). He made no secret of the fact that he was in a hurry to leave, and while he eventually completed a partial repair, he left a mess in his wake. The repair was bordering our lawn which had been recently planted with winter grass, and he threw all the dirt that he removed directly onto the lawn. I guess he was in too big a hurry to get a tarp or a few buckets. Of course it didn't come up cleanly. Two hundred dollars later, my original problem is not fully fixed, and a good portion of my previously pristine lawn will be a muddy mess for weeks, which was entirely preventable with just a little bit of care. This company will not be coming back to my property. Update after reviewing Lance's comment: My review was entirely factual and I do not view it as "rude". The problem (which I agree was a complicated one) was exactly as I described to him on the phone and should have come as no surprise. They worked through a couple of "curve balls" from an old underlying system, including fixing a cracked pool pipe that was unrelated to their job.
