I don't get the hype. This place is terrible. It has a very meager selection of wines, even compared to Henry's, Hana and Starr Wines. The selection is a lot of table wine (not from certified appeplations) from unknown importers, which are overpriced. Despite the small size of the store, it's hard to find what you're looking for, especially because they will reorganize the store from time to time. It's a small store that's usually empty when I walk in, but nobody who works here has ever offered to help me find something. I've seen them offer help to others, but I guess I'm invisible? All in all, I've come here like a dozen times and only made a purchase once. Usually, I can't find anything interesting, no thanks to the unhelpful staff. I came to find a wine that I bought at USQ Wines that I was not able to locate anywhere in Manhattan, and this spot did not disappoint. To my surprise, I am greeted by two cuties named Fig and Biscuit, who are the dogs of each of the owners of the store. Not only was I able to find my rare wine, but I was also able to hang out with the cutie dogs, who were so affectionate and also territorial and protective of me (yes, ME as a guest in the store) towards other dogs that came in. I plan to come back and support this place due to finding my rare wine, their amazing wine selection I was able to browse, and also for the dogs. read more

Excellent wine shop with a large variety considering the size of the store! They organize their wines by price and type. You can get great bottles for $12-15! Plus, every employee who works there has always been super welcoming and willing to give recommendations. If you are taking wine to party, they have awesome suggestions for general crowd-pleaser wines! In case it's freezing cold or you are just feeling lazy and don't want to leave your couch they have a reliable and efficient delivery service within the local area. I have always received my delivery within 90 minutes, though sometimes it has arrived in 30-45 minutes - pretty awesome! Be sure to sign up for their rewards program in case you find yourself there on a regular basis. Lastly - I love that they are focused on sustainability and care about the environment. They offer paper bags, rather than plastic AND if you bring back paper bags in good condition they will take them back. I spoke to some of the staff and they said most people also bring their own reusable bags and don't even take a bag in the first place. They've got your back with free wine tastings and fancy cheese. Got a dog? No problem! Doggos welcome. Don't feel like leaving your apartment because you're like me and lazy as f*ck? Such a great wine & spirit spot! I decided to check it out on my way to a BYOB dinner spot. They were playing good music and the staff was very helpful through my indecisiveness. I ended up with a yummy Tempranillo. I also stopped by during their Grand Opening party and got to try out a few wines and an amaro. This time I took home an unfiltered sauvignon blanc that I can't wait to try! You can definitely tell their selection was carefully thought out and curated. Poor customer service! We always come here cause we enjoyed the hospitality and the service. However, my fiancé went today and one of the ladies today was HORRIBLE. She was rude and not helpful at all. She was rude by yelling to wear a mask and yet she wasn't understanding that he was scared of the two dogs at the door. Randomly placed great wine store. Came in as a recommendation of a friend and was sincerely blown away from the selection and friendly service. Some wine nerd stuff for sure, but even the $15 and under section was full of items that I love, whereas most shops throw 5-6 dollar at cost swill and hike up the price to make the most $ and take advantage. By far the best wine shop/ liquor store in Brooklyn, maybe even NYC. The carefully selected, craft bottles of spirits are just the coolest. Great designs and super unique. Wine selection is also extremely diverse and a lot of things I haven't found elsewhere. The staff is enthusiastic and very educated, I always walk out with more knowledge. For instance , I'd never heard of orange wine until I was introduced by someone at the store. This place is kind of disappointing. So far the wine i have purchased is average, mostly seems to be overpriced imported product. I would stick to Hana - the wine is better, the prices are in line with the product offered (local or imported) and the recommendations are friendly and on point. read more
