I have lived in this apartment complex for almost three years now. There has been a lot of crime since moving in. I suggest moving somewhere else for the price that has a heated pool, and doesn't ban wreaths or feeding the birds, or random things from your balcony that are intended for balconies. My family has been subjected to five crimes while living here. 1. Our car was broken into in the garage. The camera footage was so poor that the manager couldn't even find it. The thief was not apprehended by the police with credit card receipts and camera footage. 2. Packages stolen from the mailroom. 3. Bitten by a large dog in the mailroom. 4. Chased by homeless right outside of the apartment. 5. Someone left a nasty sex toy on my balcony. This is an unfriendly, unsafe place to live, with poor security. There are a lot newer, nicer competitors in the area. Not to mention the ongoing construction on 21st. read more

I moved here in June. The apartment is built well. So far, the staff is friendly, and maintenance has been on top of everything. When we moved in, the apartment was clean, and the non upgraded apartment was perfect for us. I live here with my wife and two cats. There is plenty of space and lots of storage. The only thing that I would change is if the apartment offered bike storage, they do offer storage closets for 25 a month. The location here is really good as well. read more

I've lived here for many years now, I was one of the happiest and best residents. This apartment complex and their management team do not have their priorities straight whatsoever. While they're planning on upgrading the gaming rooms that haven't been touched in years.. the residents suffer through endless renovations and poor foundation issues. This is an extremely old property and some of the things simply can't be fixed by a "bandaid". My bathtub has never been caulked in the whole time I've lived here even with multiple inspections- I put in a maintenance request well over a year ago for a cracked bathtub- no resolve yet, but thank goodness for new Tesla chargers!!! Every single time it rains- my apartment will flood... the district manager will send her team in and a half assed job would be a compliment for their work. As my kitchen is currently starting to flood- there's not even an emergency maintenance line active for this community. Don't be fooled by the free months of rent.. you'll be trying to find a tenant lawyer to terminate your lease. If you're truly looking for a "home" for yourself... go ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! read more

AVOID getting scammed. Upon moving out, we had the apartment professionally cleaned and the carpet was shampooed. We took extensive photos (over 50) after our cleanings because other tenants & reviewers had warned us of a Management scam. We were told there would be no additional charges, however we were hit with $150 "standard" cleaning fee. When we tried to speak with V. Turner at Irving School Administration to work out the obvious mistake, she became very upset and accused us of yelling and speaking unkindly. V. Turner then threatened to turn us over to collections as the only means of rectifying the problem. Quite a scam. Additionally, the apartments are not kept up. We had difficulty getting repairs or solutions to problems and othe utdoor railings and walkways are extremely corroded and look unsafe. read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Walls are paper thin, the whole building shakes when someone walks up the stairs or a semi-truck drives by, and simply walking around your apartment causes your neighbors' apartment to shake. Management is lazy and dishonest. They're hardly ever around on the weekends, if at all. So if you have any issues, like drunk college kids blasting music at the pool (which happens every weekend in the summertime), it's your problem to deal with. Get everything management says in writing. Your lease agreement doesn't allow management to make or honor any verbal agreements, and they know this. So they'll say whatever you want to hear, but won't honor anything. Their favorite form of communication is eviction notices. They charge fees for everything, including parking and collecting your mail. Crime is bad here and their rent-a-cop is feckless. We witnessed multiple broken car windows, stolen bikes, and homeless people living in the garage. But when you ask to see their cameras, forget about it. They're probably just up for show. Anyone living here is only doing so for the location. Excellent Sugarhouse location with plenty of restaurants, shopping, the library and a movie theater within walking distance. The girls in the front office are really nice - much of the bad is really out of their control. After 2 1/2 years, we had lots of bad: - Move-In Day We'd just driven 12 hours from southern California and were so excited to set up our new home. We get the keys and run inside to find it a mess. Nails, screws, and pieces of glass on the carpet. Before we signed the lease originally, we did a walk through with one of their people, who with us, noted about 6 things that needed to be taken care of, maintenance-wise. None of them were. In addition, the place was flat-out just dirty. Clearly had not been cleaned after the previous tenant moved out. - They have a program where you can choose a color from their selection of 6 or 7, and they'll paint an accent wall in your apartment for $50. The apartment we moved into had a bright red wall in the living room and an alligator green wall in the bedroom. We just wanted white walls, but we would have had to pay $50 each to get them painted back to white! We ended up paying the money to have them repainted, but that is ridiculous! People expect white walls when they move in and shouldn't have to live with a big red wall in their living room. - Nickle and dime for everything- EVERYTHING! I have never lived anywhere else where trash and water weren't included in the rent. There was even talk at one point about charging us a portion of the property taxes. - They walk you through a very fancy model apartment, but what you actually get is old crappy linoleum, chipped countertops and cheap finishes throughout​ the apartment. The stone-looking tiles around the fireplace? Upon closer inspection, you will see they are actually screen printed ceramic tiles, not stone. Whatever cheap shortcut Irving Schoolhouse could find, they took. Shoddy work by maintenance here too- we have seen them hot glue bathtub trim back in place. It just a podunk operation. - The snow removal here in the winter time is completely unacceptable. - Single-paned windows - you will FREEZE in the winter or pay really high gas bills! - Speaking of gas, our heat and water heater used the same gas, so if you wanted to take a warm shower, you had to turn off the heat for about 45 minutes prior to ensure that there would be enough hot water. UGH. - Maintenance, in general, is terrible, especially the manager. He is dirty and will come in your house in his filthy work boots, tracking that crap on your carpet. Once we came home and he was in our apartment changing a light bulb in the bedroom. He was STANDING ON OUR BED in his dirty shoes! I'm guessing he would not have done that had we been home when he got there, but you should trust the maintenance people in your home when you're not there. Just know when you move in here that you are 100% there for the location. read more

Don't do it!!! Worse place I ever have lived. Nice that it's animal friendly, what that really means is animals are allowed to shit & pee anywhere, yes even on there own doorstep. I walked over piss & feces for a year to get to my vehicle. Maintenance is slow or just ignores you completely. I asked for a new screen door for 4 months, called 3 times talked to Joseph, never saw one. I moved out 2 months early because I hated it that bad. And yes I paid the rent & utilities for those 2 months. Funny how they can charge me over $100 a month for utilities when it was empty. I spent 3 hours cleaning when I moved out& they still charged me a cleaning fee. It was cleaner than when I moved in. Pick another spot, you will be glad you did. My rent was $1650 a month, when they get done charging you all their bs fees, it was almost $2,000 a month, I have lived a lot of places, Never been so unhappy living anywhere. I have been living here for over 5 months nd did not have a problem till now. As many of the reviews have mentioned it before, the management is outright cruel. I made a mistake of a late payment by a day. They charged me, and I am not even kidding, 400 DOLLARS for it. I told them that it`s Covid times and I am in a bit of a crunch, and they said we will send you an eviction notice and told me go back home. I get that apartments have policies, but a small mistake like this landed me a dent of 400 dollars. Do not rent from this place. I did and it was a huge mistake! They never asked for a security deposit instead I got hit with a move out bill for $387.31!!! One of the charges was for "opening charges $88.38" what?!?! I contested it but in the end they sent it to a lawyer and I had to pay attorney fees!! This place is a rip off!! I put up with the white paint spots that never got cleaned up and the warped wall due to mold that was attached to an outer storage that also had mold, and a clanging pipe in the ceiling that woke me up at 5 am for two months before it was fixed!! And then there was the monthly additional fees for utilities!! They will nickel and dime you to death then send you a moving bill like I got hit with! Apartment living has two features to be taken into consideration. Do you like the space (clean, safe, location) and how will you be treated. While I do like the space any and all positives are outweighed by the mngt team. I was served a meritless eviction eviction notice. Once the Mngt team reviewed the evidence (because they had not done so before serving the notice) they submitted to the facts. I was proven correct. Now they want me to pay their legal fees for serving that eviction notice. Which is totally nuts. They recklessly posted that notice without doing their due diligence and now want me to pay for their incompetence! Absolutely not. Go elsewhere people! There are plenty of great communities within Sugarhouse where you'll be treated well. read more

Key card access to main facility (gym, BB ball, pool clubhouse etc) broke several times a month...when access available on weekends (very few) no one unlocks the doors to the facility. Mail box room open to public...door latch broke and several mailboxes are broke with personal mail showing (this is federal offense). Initially, I had a plan to lease my apartment at Irving Schoolhouse for 3 years while my partner finished school. We lasted 9 months. The walls are paper thin. I have lived in multi-housing units for over 10 years in the SLC/Sugarhouse area. Tenant noise is always to be expected, but the noise at Irving is maddening and unbearable. The unit I was leasing was unlivable to the point where I could hear EVERYTHING that my upstairs neighbors were doing (even when they open/close a kitchen drawer). In the end, I decided to pay A LOT of money to break the lease because I was getting sick from the lack of sleep and tired of dealing with an office staff that lacked basic problem-solving​ skills. It's unfortunate and completely unfair that I had to choose a route that cost me a lot of money because Irving does not care to help their tenants. I feel so sorry for the next poor soul who lives in my old unit, especially if it's someone who can't pay a transfer fee or break a lease. Irving Schoolhouse management is the worst. I can't even count how many times I've walked in on office management talking trash on tenants, and they wonder why so many people leave terrible reviews about them. Do not live here!!! read more

We lived at Irving from September 2018 through August 2019. No one review tells the whole story but go look at the aggregate of reviews this complex has received. For the money you pay to Irving you get to deal with things like homeless people sleeping in the parking garage, no working security cameras on-premises despite storage closets and cars being broken into consistently, and their "renovated Victorian apartments" that have many issues that will only be fixed when you fight the management tooth and nail. I wish I could list out the things that happened upon move in, but Google is maxing out my character limit. Here comes the real issue... In June of 2019 our air conditioner stopped working. It was hot outside (consistently 99-103 degrees) and we lived on the fourth floor. Our internal temperature was hovering around 80-81 degrees, while the thermostat was set to 70-71. Since there was a 10 degree difference we let maintenance know that something was wrong and needed to be fixed. Maintenance came out, did their thing and we were told it was "fixed". We woke up the next day, experienced the exact same issue and let maintenance know. Maintenance came back and told us that since it was hot outside that we couldn't expect our apartment to cool less than 20 degrees difference from the outside. As a grown adult who has existed inside of buildings when it was hot outside I had my suspicion this might not be entirely true (spoiler alert: it wasn't). We expressed this to Natasha, Irving's onsite manager, and were assured that 1. This was true and 2. That this wasn't even specific to Irving as she had just installed an AC unit in her personal residence and was experiencing the same issue. The apartment was so uncomfortable that we decided to do Irving's job for them and get the issue taken care of on our own. We called around to 3 A/C companies in the Salt Lake Valley and they told us that, *get ready*, this was not true and we should definitely be able to expect an apartment cooler than what we were getting (one of the A/C guys even joked- "What do you think they do in Arizona?"). We continued to bug the staff at Irving, mostly Natasha, and she finally decided to send out an external company to look at our apartment. The company did a thorough clean of our air conditioner, the vents, and the ducts and (TO OUR SURPRISE) our apartment cooled down to 70 degrees! The thermostat was able to control the temperature exactly. Our $1900 per month was finally paying off! From the time this problem was reported to the time it was fixed was over a month. While it was 80+degrees, we were being charged by the power company from our unit running at 70-71. We were given two power bills of $175 and $245. We hadn't gotten the benefit of a cool apartment that paying this much in power bills should have gotten, we reached out to Irving to see if there could be some way they could compensate us, considering they had told us there was no issue and there was nothing they could do, when really all they needed to do was do a cleaning of the vents (which they do not do proactively in between tenants). Had we taken Irving management's response to this issue it would have never been fixed. Without pushback, Natasha would've let this problem continue to happen whether intentional or not, this was negligent. We decided to move out early, and asked for them to list our apartment. Given lots of false hope, we moved out on 8/16, they never rented our unit and we paid for an empty apartment for 1.5 months (they took our keys). We were then charged for a parcel locker (that was cancelled), a parking stall, W,S,T and a CAM maintenance fee (remember they took our keys). We couldn't even utilize the premises but we were expected to pay. We paid close to $3,000 to not live there, if this doesn't tell you something about this place, I don't know what will. read more

We lived at Irving Schoolhouse just over two years, and if Melissa had been at the helm the entire time, this would be a 5 star review. Now that she's there, all of the past issues with responsiveness and site conditions are gone. One call and done. The entire team from maintenance to front office is top notch. The apartments are lovely. You can paint them using their pre-selected colors or do your own (but be prepared to pay a reasonable fee for that when you leave). What amazes me is how sound proof they are. You can kind of hear upstairs and next door neighbors, but it's not bad. And when we have music or a movie going, you seriously can't hear it in the hallway. At all. This property is dog friendly and the evening it's like a happy dog park in the courtyards. The pool in the summer and hot tub in the winter are definite perks. The Sugarhouse neighborhood is ridiculous, and Irving Schoolhouse is dead center. Walk to Whole Foods, do a little retail shopping, go to The Bar Method for a workout, and the Annex for a yummy dinner and drink. Sugarhouse Park is just down the street, making it a no excuses kind of neighborhood. If you move in, be sure to stop by Sugarhouse Coffee - yummy coffee, super organic and healthy fare, and the nicest baristas in town. We were just passing through, but all in all loved our time there! read more

I came in with my husband for a tour of this community this past week. We met with Keira and were taken through the amenities and model apartment. The amenity package was better than the others in the neighborhood and I loved the character the apartment offered (they give off a more homey feeling compared to other apartments, especially with the custom columns in the living room/dining room.) The grounds were clean and we loved the fact that there was a pool and dry sauna! Apartment hunting is already a headache but Keira was bubbly, had answers to all our questions and made our experience enjoyable and comfortable. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are on the pricier side compared to other newer complexes in the neighborhood. I would recommend everyone at least check them out. read more

I have lived at Irving Schoolhouse for about 3 months now. Pros LOVE the location! Right across the street from Sugarhouse shopping area. Everything is within walking distance! The library, restaurants, shopping, Smith's, several banks, sugarhouse park, etc. Love it! Looks really nice inside and out. The inside looks nice. My apartment has vaulted ceilings and a fireplace. Great, open layout. It has 2 columns inside which add a kind of nice touch even if they are kind of randomly placed. The office area looks great, there is an awesome club room, conference room, basketball and racquet ball court, pool, sauna, computer and printer you can use for free. Office hours are good. Love that they have Saturday hours since I work during the week. Plenty of parking. Cons Even though things look nice they are really cheap. Cheap, rough carpet, fake wood flooring in the kitchen that scuffs and tears easily, cheap faucets, cheap linoleum in the bathroom. There are a lot of drafts from windows and door, the windows are probably single paned. And the heating isn't very good, the apartment feels cold and drafty (partially probably because of those gorgeous vaulted ceilings). We will see how the AC is in the summer. They nickel and dime you for everything. Everytime I turn around I am being charged for something else. $25 fee everytime you want to use a debit card or credit card, they don't accept cash, so check is only option. They say they take care of water and sewer and trash, well that means they pay the company but send you a bill with a $25 service charge on top of it. All kinds of fees to even move in and start a contract there. Maintenance doesn't respond in a timely manner unless it's something that might damage the apartment (like a water leak). Other stuff we asked for they didn't come for a month, until we called and complained then they came the next day (which I guess I give them a point for, when we reminded them they were there). Their snow removal is really bad. It snowed a few days ago and they still haven't plowed the parking lot its getting pretty bad. Shoveling the walks happens throughout the day after people have already walked on it and made a mess. It's pretty expensive, you are mostly paying for the location (which is awesome!) so sometimes its pretty disappointing that it isn't higher quality and better maintenance. They seem pretty OCD about keeping the appearance up and rules, which they kind of have to do since it's such a large complex. The contract was like 60 pages. I am kind of worried when I move out that they will charge me for anything that is not left in perfect condition, although when I moved in they had obviously covered up a lot of things, there was paint overspray everywhere, etc. Small space for the price. I knew this going in though. I moved there for location. Overall, I like living there, but when my contract is up I will probably move somewhere just because I really don't like that I pay so much, and then on top of that they keep charging me all these other fees, that they don't warn you about. You except great things when you pay a lot and this place isn't great, its just okay. *Update* I downgraded them to one star. Moving out of here was a nightmare. So Irving Schoolhouse touts themselves as being sophisticated and classy. But the thing that all classy places have is great customer service and this place does not have that. Everything has to be documented, if it isn't they won't negotiate. They charge you for every little thing that is wrong in the apartment when you move out. Just to recap my biggest issues. The building I live in for some reason when the wind blows the pilot light on the water heater blows out. Lived there for 8 months and took a lot of cold showers and management never fixed it. Tons of fees that they don't tell you about ahead of time. Terrible customer service Poor quality everything. Looks nice but it's really very cheap. Which means it gets damaged easier and then they charge you for it. New housing is going up all around this area. Just across the street are the brand new Sugarhouse Apartments. From talking with my neighbors that live there, the price is comparable. But its all new, management is great, high quality, and all units have washer and dryer. So my suggestion is don't even consider Irving Schoolhouse, go across the street. The main benefit is the location and now there is a better complex there. read more

Update: The management team emailed the scholar this afternoon and requested a cashier's check for the rent. The scholar was actually told by one staff member on the apartment management team last week that she could submit her rent with a personal check. So the scholar submitted a personal check last week. The management team emphasized that they would not post an eviction notice this time. The scholar immediately replied to the email, thanked the management team for better communication, and told the management team that a cashier's check would be submitted as soon as possible. This afternoon when the scholar got back to the apartment, another eviction was waiting, with another hefty legal fee...This is how the management treats tenants at this apartment... read more

**Current Resident** Have lived in Irving Schoolhouse Apartments since March/2016 - I am sad to say there is very little good about this place. Upon move-in, there were several maintenance items that were not "move-in ready" that we had to address more than three times to get fixed after they had already shown up. We have had to submit numerous complaints about noise occurring all hours of the day and night; whether it be dogs constantly barking, children screaming and running down the halls, or blaring music throughout the entire complex. Supposedly there are strict rules about dogs being on leashes but there are many residents who do not follow this rule, only to create problems when I take our behaved dog out on a leash. Also along the lines of "strict" rules, smoking occurs daily which seeps into our apartment, leaving our furniture and carpet wreaking. On top of all that, we've received complaints of our own dog barking throughout the night at times when we've been home and guess what; our dog was definitely not barking, nor did we even hear barking at all. So guests submit random complaints just to get others in trouble. And if that wasn't the worst of it - we've now just had property stolen from the front door. So beware owning door decor and/or a doormat; I'd rather not live in a location with thieves. I would not recommend this apartment complex to an enemy of mine. read more

This is my first Yelp review, offered as a counterpoint and a bit of a curative. tl;dr--A great place to live for my family (husband, toddler, dog, and mom), due in no small measure to the team of maintenance and front-office staff who are committed to making the place a great place to live. My husband and I have lived in Salt Lake City for over five years, and have lived in three other rental apartments before Irving Schoolhouse. While we have liked each of the places we have lived, our experience with Irving Schoolhouse management and administration has been remarkable. The front office staff are on-site and accessible, scheduled maintenance staff arrive on time, repair requests are swiftly handled. During our time here we have observed a significant investment by the management company (supported by the front office staff) on upgrades to apartment interiors and, more recently, more publicly-visible things like parking lot re-paving and striping and exterior washing and painting. Scanning the reviews, perhaps part of the problem is a matching and expectations problem for the tenants. I don't know what the current contract looks like, but read it (or any contract) before signing it. If an extra $20 for trash or water is a world-ending experience for you or pushes you above your budget constraint, as noted by others this is a rental market - there are other options. These are apartments. Things break. Sometimes things get clogged. We notify someone, they get fixed. The end. Moving out seems to have been a problem for many tenants. We have not had any problems in other apartments, but we don't have any direct experience with Irving Schoolhouse with this yet. Given the apartment inspection schedule (twice a year -- filters, outlets, switches, sensors, et cetera) I can't imagine that the condition of our apartment would come as a surprise to the front office. The carpets are light-colored, and so we've made use of the free carpet cleaning service each year upon contract renewal and that has made a difference. read more

We are disappointed about this place and NOT recommending it to you at all. First of all, the rent isn't worth the apartment condition and services they provide. Here, I am giving only a few examples: 1. Once, someone hit my car in my paid stall. I shared pictures of the scene with the office and asked them to help me find who did it. Despite paying monthly fees for parking lot, camera, etc., they did not help us. we were told that cameras do NOT cover our parking stall! (I don't know why I was charged for cam every month!) 2. I have not seen services this bad anywhere else I lived in the past. I called the facility guys multiple times on several things, such as fixing tub stopper, ceiling fan, and fireplace. They never got back to me! Even once the water heater broke, we had to stop 2 times by the office to have someone fix it. BTW, water was running for almost a day. Second, there are a lot of hidden fees. IMO, this is the worst thing you would notice in this place from day one. When we moved out, we're surprised by the last bill. We throughly cleaned the apartment (Vac&Mop&etc.); we did not damage the walls or floor at all. However, we got charged for complete paint and clean. read more

Save yourself some hassle, money and headaches by renting someplace else in Sugarhouse. I have had nothing but problem after problem at Irving Schoolhouse. The management is unresponsive, and every complaint takes far too long to resolve. The office staff only there to collect money and charge for ridiculous issues. They will also charge you for everything! Make sure you document and watch your dates very closely because you will be charged extra. The campus is messy, and the apartment is poor quality. I have been very frustrated with this rental and could not wait to leave. The fact of the matter is they wouldn't rent from themselves because they are dishonest and do not care. Save your money! DON"T MOVE HERE! Overpriced, worst staff, I moved in and had several maintenance issues which were never fixed, jackhammering ever hour above my bed for over a week and couldn't get them to fix it. Water running down my wall, car broken into, storage unit broken into. Just to give you an idea of what you will live with. read more

We love our apartment and this is a great place to have a dog. Good places to walk, and other dog owners are very considerate of each other and of the non-dog owning residents. Another big plus: the maintenance staff has always been very quick to respond with any sort of problem. read more

The maintenance team quickly responds to my requests to repair items in the apartment and the on site management is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place to those who want to live in the heart of Sugarhouse. read more

Don't live in these apartments! I lived here for one year and recently moved due to noise from the neighbors. The Sugarhouse location is awesome, but these apartments are built with cardboard walls, you will hear everything the neighbors above and below are doing, including any noise on the patios, and management will do nothing to the people making the noise. Dogs bark all night long, inside and outside of apartments. Upon leaving, you will be charged for damage you did not make. They will paint the walls and shampoo the carpeting and you will get a bill for it all, without giving you a chance to argue over it. Also had my Jeep broke into. Pay a little more and live in a different complex, or move to Sandy like I did, lot more choices and cheaper rent only 10 miles south. Hands down the worst apartments I have ever lived in. Yes, they are beautiful and nice (if you get an updated one) but that's about it. The management team does not care about your issues and the manager "has left for the day" every time you call. The hot tub is always closed and the pool doesn't work. So don't rent from here if you're in it for the amenities. On top of that, they sneak in hidden fees after you sign a rental agreement. One person will tell you an exact price of what you will be paying and then 2 months later, you rent goes up with charges for miscellaneous things. Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere. read more

Don't live here. Cars are broken into all the time. There were at least four thefts in my six months there. People constantly have things stolen from cars or patios. Homeless people wander the property pissing on everything and sleeping in corners. They nickel and dime you to death. It feels like a bait and switch. The advertised price is no where close what it costs to live here. Every little thing had a fee attached to it. The on site washer and dry hardly work. It often took more than one cycle to get anything dry. The apartment appliances were dated and hardly worked. Service was called more than once and nothing was solved. Jon was awesome and helped whenever I talked to him. The rest were never helpful and made it feel like you were bothering then every time you went in the office. read more

Terrible! Do not rent here. I couldn't wait to move out. Its like a student dorm. Dog poop everywhere. It's loud every weekend and dirty. You will hear your neighbors because the walls are paper thin. We just moved out and they want to charge us to repaint the entire apartment. When we moved in, it was dirty and filthy with coffee and food stains on the wall. They are really nice until you sign the contract and they absolutely do not care. There are too many nice apartments in that area. Avoid Irving Schoolhouse and their terrible management. read more

The best thing about this complex is the location. Pricey and poor customer service overall. Overall, the staff are very friendly when you sign your contract but are extremely hazy on details. You are presented with a list of "possible" charges of which most are guaranteed upon move out. It doesn't matter how deeply you clean your apartment or how few holes you have put in the walls you will be charged cleaning and painting fees which essentially amount to your contract signing fee (non refundable). The staff becomes progressively less friendly and although the office accepts packages they will not accept responsibility for any lost packages that have clearly been delivered to their office. Moving out is extremely difficult and customer service declines precipitously after move out. I'm still trying to retrieve a package delivered to the office. Fees are exorbitant and are non negotiable if you do not have receipts for every replacement. The staff become quite "charming" and "helpful" after move out. The apartments themselves look lovely but, as previously reviewed, are extremely inefficient. The large windows are drafty and the fireplace flue as well. The carpet is cheap and easily stained. Maintenance staff are great if you speak with them directly rather than going through the office staff. read more

I saw the negative reviews here so I had to chime in and balance things out. This is a great place to live. The location is amazing. It's a very dog friendly community, which is a huge plus all by itself. The grounds are well maintained. If you have an issue in your apartment and call the maintenance team, it's fixed within a day. The folks in the front office are amazingly friendly and always helpful. My only "complaint" about these apartments is they don't afford a lot of natural light, but part of that is due to the specific location where I elected to live for logistical reasons - I'm assuming a lot of the other units have more light. Don't let the other reviews scare you. This is a great place to live. read more
