Stopped in Junction TX bc there's a Best Western. I used Yelp to find this place and asked the clerk at the desk about it. James said he loved Isaack's! Local TExas place. Clean and comfortable. Walked in and the server was handing us a menu as we sat down. Drinks were served in a few minutes as we waited for the rest of our party. We ordered and the food was brought out in a short time. We ordered the hunters breakfast,2 chicken fried steak breakfast and an order of pancakes and bacon. During this time our drinks were continually topped off. The food was good, my steak was cooked as ordered medium rare. The chicken fried steak was cooked well with a crispy crust, the bacon was cooked just right and the pancakes were great my granddaughter said. This is a great little hill country cafe and we will be back. read more

Work had me taking Junction H..S. band to marching competition. Went to Isaack's for breakfast. Had the everything special. 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips 2 sausage patties and 2 pancakes. Food was great and cant complain about the service. Will definately stop in again if in the area. read more

Wonderful spot to eat if you're road tripping through Junction, Tx. Heidi, our server, was lovely and attentive. Food was fresh and DELICIOUS -- we enjoyed the BLT, grilled chicken sandwich, fried mushrooms, and a grilled cheese and steamed broccoli for our 15 mo old. Their menu is big and offers options for those wanting classic comfort food and lighter option (soups/salads) which seems harder to find in smaller towns. So glad to have found this place! Saw the reviews so we had to give it a try. Lunch special was catfish! Score!!! I had 3 piece with coleslaw and beans. Came with a trip to the salad bar. The salad was so fresh! Delicious!!! Catfish had perfect amount of breading, beans had a nice smoky flavor, coleslaw was very good. And it came either dessert! Red velvet cake. Just a nice small piece to take care of that sweet tooth. More than enough food, and price was very reasonable. Our waitress was amazing, attentive, sweet and helpful. read more

We had breakfast and dinner at the place. Bothe times we had great servers and the staff were friendly. Their prices are reasonable and quality is great. The place is clean and has a rustic ambience. The Junction Special is my number once choice for a classic breakfast. The pancakes were the best I have had- fluffy with a slight flavor of vanilla. We are passing thru town in our way to Guadalupe Mountains National Park and we found this little nugget nestled in the small town of Junction, TX. The TV was playing a Western show while we ate. The waitress was very friendly and asked if it was our first time there. We explained we were just passing thru so it was our first time. She explained all their French fries are hand cut and the mashed potatoes are house made. The onion rings are also battered and made from scratch there. She told us a lot more but it's too much to remember. My husband had the chicken fried steak and the mashed potatoes. He said it tasted homemade. If we ever come back thru here, we would stop again! read more

Visited 2 different times while in Junction and we loved it ! It has a very homey and welcoming atmosphere at Isaack's, as well as friendly and attentive staff. Waitress was attentive and friendly. We had chicken fried chicken and chopped steak. Both came with real mashed potatoes, gravy, a warm roll and one trip to salad bar which was fresh and tasty! It was set up in an old fashioned claw foot tub. $16.99 each dinner. There's a senior option for $11.99 with 1/2 portion protein and all else the same. An absolute gem of a restaurant! Stopped for lunch on the way to San Antonio. My wife ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and the server asked if she wanted soup or salad, which came with the meal. My wife replied "I'm not sure I can eat all of that, but I'll try." That's when the server suggested the senior portion, which is basically a half order of the entrée. We're both in our mid-60s and had a good laugh. We were pleased to know that was available. We told her in the future she should call it the petite portion. She laughed. I ordered the "senior" Chicken Fried Steak. I like that with the CFC they put the gravy on the side. With the CFS the gravy goes first, then the meat. Light breading for both, not greasy at all. Both were delicious! You get a homemade yeast roll to sop up the cream gravy. Be sure to order the homemade onion rings! We're planning to stop in for breakfast on our way back west. read more

Decent place for a tasty meal. Nothing fancy but the food is good. Prices about the same as any Cafe these says. Does have a salad bar.

We stopped here for a bite to eat. They have a lot of hand made items on their menu. My wife and I both had the chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and salad bar. The chicken fried steak is hand battered and not deep fried but cooked on the grill. It is very juicy, tender and very tasty. One of the better ones I have had. It is a large portion. The mashed potatoes are hand made very creamy and tasty. Salad bar is one trip and small but has various cold salad items. Service was very friendly and informative about the menu choices. Food came out quickly and nice and hot. Very pleased with my stop here. Worth revisiting next time through. read more

My husband and I stopped to grab some lunch when we were passing through town. He had a 1/2 lb cheeseburger with a homemade roll and fresh cut French fries. We also tried the fried mushrooms and onion rings. Both were good with onion rings in homemade batter. I had the chicken salad that was good made with iceberg lettuce. Nothing fancy but it tasted fresh. Iced tea was not too strong and tasted good. Coffee could have been a lot better. Nice waitress service too. read more
