I bought a bee colony and equipment in 2020. It became apparent the bees were aggressive and went out of their way to harass passers-by. Jane came to the house, took the hive back to shop, Re-queened the hive with a gentle and tolerant queen and it has been great since. I am sold on quality, knowledge and support! I did business with Jane (the owner) for her to purchase a hive from me during a move. We settled on a price and she picked up the bees. Then things got sketchy quickly. When I requested payment she disappeared. Eventually I got ahold of her and ensured she paid me. Then 3 months later, out of nowhere, she disputed the payment and the processor clawed back the money. Since then she has not responded to me and refuses to pay me. Exercise extreme caution when dealing with Isabees. read more

Being the only local beekeeping supply store in town, they've cornered the niche. But being small has the disadvantage of limited hours and sometimes limited products. So call ahead, rather then getting discouraged. They are always willing to help with materials, bees and anecdotes. read more

Totally Clueless. These people have horrible hours making it difficult to get to. Once there, they are constantly out of product. I've gone 5 times. 3 times they were completely out of basic product. Once was just browsing. The one time they had product, I went to checkout just as a regular walked in. The owner bypassed me to help the regular. It took me 10 minutes to get checked out.
