Last year my friend and I decided to ask Isabelle for assistance to organize our trip to the Panama Canal. She's done the same for me in Vietnam (Halong Bay Cruise, motorbike tour of Ho Chi Minh City), Thailand (best cooking class ever at Benny's Home Cooking in Chiang Mai) and Romania (hilarious guide who took me to Bran Castle and then got a local distiller out of bed for a late night apricot brandy tasting). If you don't have a month or are looking for something a bit more sedate, call Isabelle anyway. She's going to make sure you get where you need to go and that you get there and back safely - US or internationally. She'll also have great suggestions for tours, hotels and activities. We had to roll down to Palm Springs for a conference and hadn't a clue where to go or what to do. Enter the truly magical Isabelle! PRO: Warm, helpful, super responsive, full of ideas, AND she saved us at least $600+ vs. what we would have paid if we tried to book it ourselves. Magic! CON: None. We needed to get away for a week to Mexico but we've been so busy and just didn't have the time to do all the research. The first travel agent I called was super snotty and made me feel like I was wasting their time. They actually said, "That's something you can just research on the web yourself!" Well if I wanted to research myself, I wouldn't have called you in the first place! So I hop on Yelp, find Isabelle and give her a ring - and I'm SO GLAD I did. Isabelle is incredible! She is warm, friendly, thoughtful, and most importantly is collaborative. A few months before our wedding, my wife and I decided to try going through a Travel Agent for the first time in our lives. We are so happy we decided to work with Isabelle. She also had us provide more information in an email so she could really determine a proposal for us. We both wanted a trip that was tropical that had a mix of relaxation and adventure. When Isabelle sent us the first proposal, we were blown away and so excited for our trip to Belize and Guatemala, visiting beautiful beaches, snorkeling, trips to Mayan ruins, and some nightlife spots. She planned a trip that would also take us to places we would have never found through our own internet research. My wife and I did have a few adjustments we wanted to make to our trip, less time in certain places, different flight times, and even visiting a different city than what was in the proposal. She was very proactive in making sure we felt good about all aspects of working with her and our travel plans. Isabelle is great, we had a problem finding a hotel during a recent holiday weekend for the family and our dog. Isabelle jumped right in and within hours had 2-3 recommendations for us to choose from. When we did make the decision she booked the stay, followed up just before our departure to check if we had any changes and then afterward to verify our experience was good. Isabelle is a GEM! We have a family of five and as some of you may know, it's not easy finding reasonably priced accommodations to house anything beyond 4 people. I gave Isabelle my budget for lodging and places I knew I wanted to hit in Europe and she was off and running.
