So far I've really only been to the locker room and the main lifting area (I'm assuming) on the ground level. The front desk staff has been friendly, and there is a store I want to explore on the right as you walk in (heard good things). It's clear both inside and from the outside that there is much more to the building but that will be for as time progresses. Very much a "lifters" gym due to the vibes, the color palette is fairly dark and muted, primarily consisting of various shades of gray and black with an occasional red accent. On the wall there is a large mural of two bodybuilders, next to a 16 tv array display showcasing the game, or Ronnie Coleman lifting videos. On the floor there is a plethora of equipment, truly anything any lifted would need or even really want. The space is large, and with that packed with equipment while maintaining healthy spacing between pieces, which is very much appreciated. When it gets busy there may be a tad wait for some pieces but that is anywhere, and very reasonable. Staple workout pieces have multiples such racks and benches, and so for those it's fairly unlikely you will have to really wait. The equipment is modern, clean, and seems to be well maintained. The one qualm I have, which very well may be just due to me going later in the day, is the inconsistency of the weights. There are plenty of weights available, but they vary in size/brand/type a lot. Most seem to be iron, but the brands vary so even if the same weight, the sizes vary slightly. Now I don't necessarily mind loading up a bar "asymmetrically", but at the same time it would be kinda nice if I could have matching plates. I understand this is a small and insignificant thing, just one I noticed, and something that could also be very much due to gym goers moving stuff around. If you're going to the gym primarily to lift, I'd likely recommend this gym.

Customer service? No. Will they nickel and dime you? Yes…read more Most premium gym memberships will allow you to bring a guest once in a while, but when I wanted to work out with my friend who was back from college, they advised me that my membership type had changed and that I had purchased a membership that didn't exist anymore so they would have to charge him $20 which they just slapped on my account. OK, fine a few months later I got a new card number and they charged me a $25 "card decline fee." I never agreed to that and the original contract, and it's not a bank account. Ben, they started charging a card processing fee in the middle of my contract. I had surgery in April and I called and emailed the staff and no one answered. I tried to pause my membership. I had multiple hospitalizations, and surgery again in June however, during all this time I made at least 10 phone calls and five attempts to contact bucked up via email and no one replied. I ended up having to go through my card company to charge back the monthly dues. The overall attitude and like a responsibility about staff is sickening. Customer service is worse than planet fitness. You can easily find most of the same features, if not more at planet fitness or O2 fitness. If you really want a premium gym experience, there are plenty of other options in Cary / Raliegh.

I found this location to be relatively close to my home and I like that it's 24/7. I spoke with Andy on the phone and via text. Unfortunately, I settled on trying out another gym option but I look forward to circling back to Anytime Fitness if my current choice doesn't work out.

When I brought this to the owner, his answer was "because our facility is top notch and we have a bodybuilder like atmosphere which encourages a higher level of training at our facility". The facility is not top notch. Every other anytime fitness I've been to in the area has more equipment and is cleaner. They also are never any help when you come to them with questions about your "contract". I got a new credit card and needed to remove my card that was expiring from my payment method. The process was impossible. 2 weeks passed before anybody could give me an answer on how to change my payment method. Then, when it finally got switched, I got hit with late fees and a service charge totaling over $100. An absolute joke of a gym. Stay away at all costs.

There are numerous classes that are serious workouts. Yoga, hot yoga, stretch, etc. I'm not a swimmer, but if I was I think the swim facilities are second to none, both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor pool is awesome, and will serve adult beverages, which is a nice option. There's steam, sauna, whirlpool, and a clean and well stocked locker room. I joined as soon as I could and was there on day one. Love this place! Finally, shout out to Courtney, who is always there with a smile and exuberant hello.

I love the group fitness classes and I love that you reserve your spot in advance. They also just started a new Core Tone Reform class with reformers for regular members, and that class kicks your butt! I also really enjoy the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzis. Another benefit is the kids membership. My stepdaughter loves coming to the kids club for gymnastics, rock climbing, yoga, and more. I know that she is having fun while I'm doing a class. They have Parents Night Out on the weekends and that's such a nice perk! There's also day camps, which has saved us a few times when we needed child care during a school break. The pool is also wonderful in the summertime. The cafe food is average. I'd love it if the quality was amped up just a bit. The only thing I really ever get is the vegan PB& B shake. It's delicious! It has peanut butter, banana, cafe mocha greens, almond milk, and vegan protein powder. I haven't been to the salon yet, but it's great that this is an option. Overall, I love this gym and I would go every day if I could.

From day one, the experience has been excellent. I walked in, had a great conversation with the manager, Mike, about my goals, and within a few days I signed up for both the gym and personal training. Mike is knowledgeable, approachable, and truly invested in helping members succeed. My main goal was building strength, and with his guidance, I've not only gained strength but also lost weight and inches along the way. What really sets this gym apart is how personalized the training feels. Mike helped put together a training plan with different workouts and a plan that works with how I actually eat no extreme or unrealistic restrictions, which has made it sustainable and effective. That approach alone has made a huge difference. The gym itself is always clean, organized, and well maintained, and the recent updates to the equipment and locker rooms are a great bonus. I also love that it's open 24 hours, with secure scan access when staff isn't on site it makes fitting workouts into a busy schedule so much easier. On top of all that, the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff and members are friendly, and it truly feels like a supportive community rather than just a place to work out. I highly recommend Workout Anytime in Cary to anyone looking for a clean, well-run gym with excellent training and a positive environment.
