I came in for my annual exam and I was not able to be dilated because I was going to drive far after my visit. I came back only for the dilation, which normally would have happened at the previous exam. I was charged another $20 copay. That seemed not right because I already paid. The doctor is not very friendly. Eye disease runs in my family so me and my sons have to be seen by an ophthalmologist. Unfortunately this is the one Memorial Care contracts with. read more

I had a Clear Lense Exchange done by Dr Lin at iSight care. I could not give enough stars - the entire process has been an extremely positive experience. Firstly - I consulted with a different clinic for this procedure before seeing Dr Lin. Dr Lin's quote for the same surgery was much more reasonable, and I felt more comfortable with her and her team than at the "elite" specialized clinic I had previously talked to. During the initial analysis and preparation, Dr Lin was extremely helpful, and also transparent and informative. The surgery went perfectly and I can now see/read without glasses! I would also like to mention that iSight's office manager Lauren Cawley has been super helpful and approachable during the entire process. Can wholeheartedly recommend this clinic and would go back for anything eye-related that might come up in the future. read more

All the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My situation, while becoming less unique, is unique nonetheless. I have fibromyalgia, and until I went to Dr. Yang, I didn't know it affected my eyes. It's very comforting and unusual to find a Dr. that knows about fibromyalgia. I feel like I'm in very good hands. The office never seems overcrowded or stressed. (I have been there several times with my husband.) This office, including the Dr.'s and staff, have been consistent. To me, the staff are as important as the Dr. If the Dr. order something, and the staff can't help you get it done, then whatever the Dr. orders is moot. Happily, these knowledgeable Dr.'s have a staff that can help you and even expedite their orders. I haven't used them as optometrist... yet. Watch out!! Cheaters! Fraud company! I went there 2years ago for opinion of cataract surgery, I visit the office 2 times and each time I pay off my bills when I exit the office. Once is $160 once is $270. I decided not to go with them since they are far away from where I live. And guess what? 2 years later they send me a bill saying I have bill that is not paid off ??!!? Dr. Jennifer Yong is awesome! I was wearing prescription glasses since I was three years old with surgeries and my lens prescription was always extreme...Farsighted with astigmatism. I also suffered from strabismus and pre- glaucoma pressure in the eyes. it's always been a big hassle to get glasses prescriptions and the migraines I constantly had. Dr. Yong was the First ophthalmologist(and I've been through many) to recommend I have cataract surgery to relieve the pressure in my eyes and relieve the migraines. The surgery will also rid the need for my thick prescription glasses and will just need thin reading glasses. Dr. Yong was very thorough, assuring and comforting that helped all my fears of the process of cataract surgery. Cataract surgery is one of the best decisions I ever made. I can see great with minimal reading glasses and the migraines are gone. I enjoy the outdoors with no glasses for the first time in almost my whole life!! If I can give Dr. Yong six stars, I would. The most rude and uncaring physician I've ever been seen by in my life. The eyes are a delicate and sensitive issue for anyone and the fact that Dr. Lin doesn't care to explain treatment plans thoroughly or to follow up with patients regarding their eye care is unacceptable and abhorrent. She is very overbearing and mean when dealing with patients. Moreover, if she does something wrong she will either blame it on the patient or her nurses (who do almost everything for her and are amazing) rather than take on any responsibility for her actions. Also be prepared to wait at least an hour after your appointment time to be seen by Dr. Lin because she cannot manage her time wisely between patients. If you have a choice in the opthamalogist you see, I'd advise you to choose someone else who is more knowledgeable and sympathetic to their patients and their eye care. read more

I was essentially born blind with an unaided score of 20/250 (L) and 20/150 (R) including amblyopia and astigmatism . For many years I was told that there was no operation that could fix my eyes, so my life consisted of inch think glasses or lenses with glasses on top and I still couldn't see clearly. About 3 months ago, I met Jennifer Yong, MD and the team over at iSight Vision Care. Dr. Yong performed a CLE with Premium IOL lens on each eye (2 weeks apart) and I could not be more overjoyed with the results! I can see, unaided, for the first time in my life! Made an appointment with this place last week for a yearly eye exam, clerk said they would verify my insurance and call me back if they had issues otherwise to come in for the appointment.. Great!! Figured they got the insurance figured out, so I headed in and no they can't find my insurance and apparently it's not in my network now.. I'm sorry I work night shifts and wake up early for appointments.. and I'm a travel nurse and I Uber everywhere.. Waste of my time!!!!! Please do your job!! My apt was at 1430 and I didn't see the doc until 1517.. after I realized they way overcharged me on my copay and they told me they didn't have my insurance until after they charged me, I walked out. At least they refunded my money or let's hope they did.. I'm only giving 2 stars because the staff was very friendly.. My husband has been receiving care from Dr. Lin for some time. There was a lasik procedure done this week from her and no eye drops before or after. The day after that procedure he was in tremendous pain in that eye and returned to her to then be told he should have had the drops pre as well as post procedure. She is arrogant and unprofessional. Came in for a regular eye exam for contacts and glasses and even stated at the beginning of my appointment that I need to be tested for both and I was refused a contacts exam at the end because of my chronic dry eyes. I specifically made this appointment so I could get contacts in time for a trip so now I will be going on the trip with just glasses no thanks to Isight. Doctor Lin has NO bedside manner whatsoever. If you want to be blamed for problems that you have no control over come here! She'll tell you that you'll have these problems forever in a flat sarcastic and demeaning tone! Just the way you want to be talked to by a Healthcare professional! Oh! And her staff will blame you for things that you never did! Don't come here if you want to be treated professionally. This is a long overdue review. Dr. Lin did my LASIK surgery in 2016. After 12+ years of wearing contact dailies they one day fell out of my eyes. Long story short I was diagnosed with chronic dry eyes and forced to wear glasses for 2 years to recover. Eventually my ophthalmologist and Dr. Lin signed me off for LASIK. Forward to 4.5 years later and some days I still want to cry when I wake up because I can just open my eyes and SEE. If you are as scared/nervous as I was about this process just know that you will be in great hands (literally). Our vision is such a beautiful thing that cannot be taken for granted. I took my mom for her yearly eye exam and eyes dilation, I was not planning on getting an eye exam and eyeglasses myself but I did. Upon arrival I checked my mom in and we started looking at frames right away (my mom wanted me to help her decide on her next pair). We were greeted by a gentleman named Angel can't express how great we were treated by him. He helped my mom choose the perfect pair and had us laughing and enjoying our experience the whole time. His personality is very vivacious and energetic and his opinion was always honest and appreciated. Needless to say, I was there for my mom but since I was due for an exam and needed new glasses as well, Angel was able to squeeze me in at the same time as my mom. The whole staff is great to be honest but Angel stood out. From beginning to end he was with us; my mom felt very comfortable with him (which she's hard to please). Fast forward a week and half later my current eyeglasses broke at work. They had been falling part and put back together a few times. At iSight I bought two pairs of designer sun\regular glasses and I was planning on ordering a "WORK" pair from some cheap online store (job is rough physically). Something told me to call Angel and ask for his advice on where to get a decent not so expensive pair of glasses for work ASAP. He asked what my budget was and that he would be able to find me a pair at iSight within my budget and if I trusted him to choose the frames and I agreed (i couldn't leave work). The best part of it all was that it was going to be ready the same day. I was having a rough time at work with my glasses and the anxiety that comes from not being able to see clearly but it was all put at ease by him and his customer service. By the way I loveeeee the frames he chose it's flexible for work and just my style for the right price. Oh and did I mention Angel was able to fix my old glasses and now I have a spare pair for work which I so desperately needed. I've been to a handful of ophthalmologists in the past 10 years and didn't realize the importance of eye care until I came here. My past experiences at other ophthalmologists, from what I thought, were good. Made an appointment, did an eye exam, picked my frames, and waited for them to come. Quick process. But then I came to iSight Vision Care. I figured it'll be like all my previous experiences, but it exceeded my expectations. Although there was a wait, I didn't mind because it showed that many others (especially the "more seasoned" adults) trusts their care. It's the same reason why I don't mind waiting in line at In n Out--the quality is there. The staff were friendly and professional. I was able to feel their sincerity throughout the whole process, which decreased the stress from my visit. Dr. Lin was very knowledgeable and informative...More than the mundane "1...2...1...2..." but I was educated on the implications of my squinting on my face muscles. Long story short, she provided me with the appropriate steps to relax said muscles. I had a cosmetic issue that I've been longing to get done for about 10 years. I never found any other doctor that could offer me a solution until Dr. Lin. To start off with, the front desk lady is very helpful and professional. The office is relatively busy, but what doctor's office isn't? The office is very spacious and modern so waiting is not too bad. While I was waiting, the optician offered to fix my glasses. I didn't even know I needed adjustments but they fit a lot better after he fixed them. Started browsing through the glasses and found some really cute sunglasses... I'll put it on my wishlist lol During the consultation with Dr. Lin, I had a lot of questions but she answered them without a problem. I felt very confident that she knew what she was doing. She definitely seems young at heart but you can tell she speaks from experience. She did leave the room as soon as she was done but the technicians were able to answer all the other questions I had. It's a busy office so it's understandable that she did that. I was scheduled to have surgery and I thought I would need to get it done at the hospital but they actually have very hi-tech equipment in the office and they were able to do it there. That saved me a lot of money--which is the best part! I was worked into the schedule by the scheduler. She was helpful and informed me of what to expect--which is nice because it was my first surgery ever and I was pretty nervous. I also got to talk to the technicians there. They all seemed pretty young so at first I thought they were volunteers. It turns out that they're college graduates that are applying to medical school. I guess they get "volunteers" a lot but confirmed with them that they're paid employees. Haha, I guess the baby face backfires. I know the feel xD The surgery was quick and painless and recovery is as expected. I'm really digging the results and wish I had done it sooner! Overall, I definitely recommend this place. I have been going to Dr. Lin for my vision problems for almost two years now and I truly can't imagine trusting anyone else with my eyes. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the lovely receptionist and staff. The receptionist is very knowledgeable and upfront about payments and your insurance. (Know your insurances, people!!) All of the staff are so professional yet really warm and kind. This isn't your stereotypical cold and sterile doctor's office! The office itself is very spacious, modern and clean. Their selections of glasses is pretty wide and I found some pretty cool frames. The optician even offered to adjust my glasses and made them feel so much better! The office does get very busy and there can be a wait but just arrive early, check in and be flexible. I've noticed some complaints about the wait time but it's a doctor's office, what do you expect? This is a medical exam not a timed car wash. I take that as Dr. Lin fully maximizing the patient's time even if that means she's going over by 5-10 minutes and consequently lengthening the wait time. To be clear, Dr. Lin is an ophthalmologist and deals with eye diseases but she also does vision exams, which is what I go to her for. Prior to seeing Dr. Lin, I checked my eyes every year with an optometrist who kept bumping up my prescription but offered little consultation as to why my eyes were getting worse each year. What I've noticed for every visit is that Dr. Lin thinks about the long term health of my eyes. She never gives me a quick fix for my blurry vision, rather, she explains to me what I can do to prevent my eyes from getting worse. With Dr. Lin, she takes into account your lifestyle and offers solutions accordingly. Instead of writing off my complaints, Dr. Lin added some tests to really see what was going on with my eyes. She really listens and wants the best for her patients. I absolutely love my glasses and contacts and have no complaints. I really owe all that to Dr. Lin and her staff! You only get one set of eyes, so choose your doctor wisely. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lin to anyone having any eye problems and want their eyes in the hands of a knowledgeable but compassionate doctor! read more

I was referred to Dr. Lin almost 2 years ago for redness/dryness in my eyes. Since I was there anyway, I had my eyeglass and contact lens fitting done there last year. Even with insurance, I still had to pay $100 extra. I ordered my contact lens through them last year. Fast forward one year to August 2016. I went back for my annual exam and it was a completely different experience. There has always been a long wait, but it has gotten much, much worse. Not only do you wait forever in the waiting room, but once you get in, the initial measurements are taken by medical students and in between each step, you're shuffled from room to room and you wait again and again each step of the way. I was there for almost 2 hours and yet, I still felt rushed because when you do get to see Dr. Lin, she's juggling multiple patients in different rooms at the same time. I'm a big fan of multi-tasking, but as a medical provider, can you really focus on 4 patients at the same time? Or maybe the question is, should you? For me, the answer is a definitive no. There was a big push for Acuvue lens and I was literally shoved out the door and told to keep them on for a day even though I instantly didn't like them. I called back the next day and asked to just get the same ones I had last year. When those trials arrived, no one contacted me so I had to call and then rush there to pick them up the day I was going away on a trip. This part is my fault- I ended up misplacing the trials while packing (or unpacking?) so when I got back, I called the office to explain what had happened. Since my prescription had changed, I needed to try the new prescription. I also asked about trials on some new hydrogel contact lens I had read about. Rosemary, the nice lady who works at the front desk told me that the optician would call me back. I waited a week and a half and nothing, so I called again. I spoke with the optician and she was impatient and rude. She told me she would check on the trial lens and call me back. Again, no call back. When I called again a week later, the same woman said that they could not order me ANY trials because they had already given me 3 different trial lens (I only received 2). Trials are free for them to order! Then she actually told me that the contact lens I had purchased through their office last year, were not the ones they had on record and I must have got them somewhere else. She told me my contact lens prescription was finalized with the Acuvue lens, which I had explained that I didn't want. It's pretty difficult to render me speechless, but this woman managed to do it. The best part is, there is no one else you can talk to. There is no office manager and they won't let you talk to the doctor. I also need to add that when I scheduled the exam and on the day of the exam, I told them I ONLY needed a contact lens exam because the eye glass prescription (through them) from last year is good for 2 years. They still went ahead and did the exam and billed me for it. I didn't say anything and just paid for it because my insurance doesn't cover both exams. When I got my new glasses, I discovered that the eye glass prescription Dr. Lin gave me was wrong. I have astigmatism in both eyes and my eyes have never had the same prescription in both eyes, but that's the prescription she gave me. I'm guessing it was transcribed incorrectly by the medical student. My glasses were blurry and gave me a headache. Basically, I paid for a full exam and got neither eyeglasses nor contact lens. In the end, I went to a different doctor and paid for a whole new exam. In summary, this office gets 0 stars for customer service, 0 stars for wrong eyeglass prescription and no contact lens prescription, and 0 stars for being overpriced. I'm a nurse practitioner and I work in a pediatric hospital. I know that clinics are tough to run, but I still believe that (most) medical providers go into the profession with a genuine desire to care for and help people. Sometimes though, you lose sight of that when you get too focused on the bottom line ($$). I don't think Dr. Lin is a bad doctor, but she's over-booking her clinics and relying too heavily on medical students to do the work (for free) that she should be doing. Mistakes then pile up and no one wants to take any responsibility or help you, once the clinic is paid for the initial visit and they know no more money is coming in. read more

I like Dr. Lin and her office a lot. 1) The receptionist are kind and very detailed. They're always so calm and sweet. All insurance and costs are explained to you and they are upfront about everything. I appreciate their transparency unlike some of the other doctor offices that underhandedly charge you. 2) Dr. Lin's assistants are super awesome and gentle. Christian put my 4-year old at ease during the testing and he was able to even put drops into her eyes without her crying (I can't even put eye drops in her eyes without her screaming). 3) Dr. Lin is patient with kids and is as pro. She is very thorough with her exams and made my 4 year old daughter very comfortable. She listens to everything we have to say and did not rush through the exam. I had the same experience as LaiLai. I had my eyes checked by Dr. Vicki. Even though we waited about 40 minutes to be called back, I was okay with it since the place was big, beautiful and she was friendly. We felt we had found an excellent Doctor. I had an ophthalmology exam and vision test done. I was given a prescription for glasses but found none that I liked in their office but did so at Target Optical. I took Dr. Vicki's suggestion and ordered the progressive lenses. Once on, I could not see without getting dizzy or feeling cross-eyed. So, Target remade them with just one vision prescription and I still could not see right. Finally, it dawned on me that the prescription was wrong. I called the office twice to have the vision exam re-done and they said they would talk with Dr. Vicki and get back to me because I didn't purchase my glasses with them so they would have to get her approval for a vision re-check. I got no return phone call over a period of 2 weeks. I then called consecutively 3 days in a row and each time I was extremely nice just reminding them not to forget me. Finally, I received a call back from a very snippy office employee who told me not to call back again as the Doctor has received my message and she will return my call when she has time. I NEVER received a phone call from the Doctor. I had my vision checked by a different Doctor. Guess what? My vision test numbers were the same but instead of negatives they were positives and the positives were negatives. To have a eye Doctor not return a phone call or back up her exam with a re-check when something is wrong is totally BS. I felt she took my money and said "bye bye sucker" when I asked for a prescription to purchase my glasses someplace else. read more

My eye problem was serious and she made sure I knew it. She stressed how important treatment is and the steps to recovering. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Doctor Vicki Lin and her team. I came in frantic with an eye ulcer after being told I would lose my vision and go blind by a different eye doctor. Dr. Lin and her team took me in and explained with great detail everything that was happening with my eye and they reassured me they would do their best to get my eye back to what it was and restore my vision. They worked tirelessly with me for two months and by the end of it my ulcer was fully gone and I could see with my eye again. They handled the entire process with such professionalism and care and made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way. I live in San Diego but my experience with Dr. Lin was so amazing that I continued to see her for the entire two months and will continue having her as my eye doctor despite her being an hour away. She really cares about her patients and knows what she is doing. I never felt unsafe or uncertain and it was great knowing I was working with such a knowledgeable doctor. I would highly recommend dr. On February 27th I was referred to Sight Vision Care and seen by Dr Vicki Lin. My circumstances were serious. Have no fair Dr Lin to the rescue saw me immediately. I was blinded by a virus called Shingles in both of my eyes. It was the most painful experience in my life. I was sure I would never see again. She immediately tended to me and reassured me that I would be ok. Let me mention again that I couldn't see, so I had no idea what she looked like. Dr Lin after a thorough examination knew what was wrong. SHINGLES!!!!!! Why? I asked. For those of you that are 60 years old, get that shingles shot if you had chickenpox as a kid. This is no joke! I went to this place several times and was almost disappointed every time. The doctor spent only 2 or 3 minutes checking my eyes and then she started talking to her assistant about my situation, but not spoke to me directly. Her bedside manner was poor. When I asked questions she answered me in an arrogant and demeaning tone. In addition, she tried to push me to do unnecessary, expensive procedure not covered by my insurance. She became very unpleasant and rude when I said I need some time to think about it; she even told me she can't help me if I couldn't understand English well. When I asked her for a copy of the prescription for my glasses after my eye exam, and she would not give it to me until after I agreed to purchase the frame and lens from her office. In addition, this doctor insisted that I purchased vitamin supplement for eye health from her office, when later on one of her assistants told me I can get the same supplement at Costco with half of the price the office charged me. This is a doctor focusing in making money more than about patients' issues. I will not go back to this doctor again. The one star I gave is because the front desk staff and assistants are very professional and friendly. read more

Usually doctors are always rushing around and but she's very professional and listens to all my concerns. I woke up with a very red and irritated eye and was able to get an appointment the same day. I had a bad eye infection and made the mistake of not checking Yelp reviews on this place. The assistants seemed to like probing my infected eyes without gloves on and simply placed tools that they just used on me, right back in the drawer and cupboards. That stood out to me and should have been my red flag but I was in a lot of discomfort. Dr. Lin was nice and seemed to be very knowledgeable about her profession. She removed my scarring and pulled out an amniotic lens cover. She even told me that it was really expensive and I asked how much, but she never answered me and very promptly put it over my eye. I made it very clear to her on my first visit that I had a very high insurance deductible and so I was very sensitive on the costs Weeks later, I got the bill. That lens cover costs $3,377.00!!!!!!!! I wasn't given an option. I wasn't told that maybe there was a cheaper way to get the same result. Maybe with some extra diligence on my end, if I could have kept it very clean that I could have achieved the same result. But NO. It was just put in over my eye. When you go to the dentist, do they just start putting really expensive crap in your mouth without telling you how much it is going to cost you? Heck no. When you go to the mechanic, do they start putting stuff in without consulting with you on the costs? If so, you need to go elsewhere which is the whole point of this review. "Go somewhere else!" The entire staff is wonderful and very competent. My husband has seen Dr. Lin for years and has been through cornea transplants, laser, cataract surgery and scleral lenses to improve his vision....and so, yes, she takes on very complicated cases as noted in previous reviews. I, being more fortunate, have been to the office for eyeglasses and contact lenses and have gotten wonderful service from Angel as well as all the others. Dr. Lin and her staff are the best. I talked to over 20 Doctors including a high-end Beverly Hills Doctor who said I needed surgery in both eyes for a total cost of over $10,000.00 I went to Dr. Lin and she explained the options and suggested I get a contact lens instead. After about 3 months, my vision improved by 12 lines. That's crazy good and no surgery required in both eyes. read more
