OMG, SUCH AN AMAZING CIRCLE TOUR AROUND THE ISLAND!! CHERYL our tour guide was very warm and an amazing tour guide and she really made you feel like "family" and made you laugh and gave us all kinds of history about culture and information about the Island everywhere we looked and stopped! We got to eat the best melt in your mouth famous Malassadas from Leonard's and the garlic shrimp I had for lunch was unforgettable!! I felt very relaxed and comfortable and had so much fun on this circle Island tour. It was the start of my trip to Oahu and the best part of it by far. What a fun journey this was. Kela and Susumu were fantastic guides, it was a super fun bus ride and we got to see so much of the island. It's a really great tour see a huge chunk of Oahu and take notes of all the great places to see and eat at so if you have time to return you know exactly where to go. Whether it's seeing beautiful costal views, sea turtles laying out on the beach, getting amazing shave ice, or a delicious shrimp lunch, you get to have a small taste of the whole island all in a day. read more

As a local, I'm not one for tourist activities but because my boyfriend isn't from here, we thought it would be a great idea to try this tour out (after much recommendation). Our guide, Billy, and our driver, Ross, were awesome! Billy is incredibly knowledgeable and personable and gave us amazing recommendations and facts about the different places we stopped at. Although Ross was the driver, he gave great tidbits throughout as well!! From a local's perspective, I think this is a great option to try out if you want to see some cool spots and don't want to do any of the driving and parking yourself. Because it's an island tour and there's tons of great spots to stop at, you can get strained for time. But, you could definitely use the tour as a means of finding spots you want to revisit later on for a longer period of time. read more

The dolphin tour was super cool. We saw like 30 dolphins swimming when looking from our boat. And 8 under the water when we jumped in to swim with them. The crew were extremely kind, organized and funny. They gave us a lot of time to snorkel and use the water slide, it was dope. Jen the tour guide also gave some information on area we drove too and was a great photographer during the swimming portion. If you come, make sure you do a big Aloha so cpt mike can find some dolphins read more

Jackson and Susumo (sorry if I spelled either name wrong) were our guides and they were simply amazing. They were super knowledgeable, courteous, and entertaining. We were laughing the whole time and came away with a ton of knowledge about Hawaii. I don't have a good picture (just videos), but we got to see some sea turtles at one our stops and it was incredible. We ate delicious garlic shrimp and fresh fruit. The dolphin swim experience was better than I could have dreamed. We were provided with hotel pickup. We were given snorkeling gear in perfect condition, plenty of guidance, instructions and demos. The boat was beautiful and allowed for plenty of movement on both decks. The size of the group was small enough for everyone to get all the promised experience. And those dolphins! Yes! Spinning and jumping right in front of me, below me and at one point - surrounded by a pod for so long I felt they were putting on a show just for me. I highly recommend this tour. read more

Today we spent a fabulous day going from Waikiki to the North shore, stopping to have Leonard's malasadas, spam musubis, a visit to a macadamia nut outlet, Fumi's spectacular garlic shrimp, fried plantains ( turon), perfectly fresh fruit and a stop for shave ice. More importantly, the entire day was a delight with Jackson's Hawaiian culture sensitive, gentle, engaging guidance. My friend Bunny is a local or a kamaāina in the Hawaiian language. She booked us with the "Island and You -circle island tour". She specified a bilingual guide since we were sure the majority of the tourist were Japanese. True that, we were met by a young guide named Yuji who's English and Japanese were perfect, he couldn't stop talking and full of energy . The bus was so colorful and the driver John was also fluent in both English and Japanese not to mention that he was quite a tour guide himself! And so it starts with a quick city tour of the golf course, beaches that are manmade plus history .... first stop was at a beautiful park where we had scones for breakfast. It was cloudy that day and even rained but every time we made a stop, the rain stopped too...We were promised 10 stops plus more for bathroom breaks. Everything that you need to go visit or experience is basically in this whole day trip. I particularly enjoyed the experience of tasting the Kalua pig , poi and laulau at the waiahole poi factory. Then the macadamian nut farm, where free kona coffee was bottomless, the lunch of garlic shrimp and rice, the Matsumoto shave ice and many that I keep in my photo blog (which you should too if you take this tour) But I guess the history and the passion of the Hawaiian culture that was nicely shared by Yuji and John were priceless. Thank you guys coZ I'm highly recommending your company! And before I forget.... thank you for letting me know that it's bad luck to bring home or gift a volcano stone, local rock or gem. I truly appreciate the stories of how Hawaiians love to preserve nature and are overprotective especially to their turtle which we luckily saw! I slept like a baby after this whole day tour tired and happy and It won't be a bad idea to take it again, after all.... the experience would be different given another set of people in another trip! The staff was amazing and the tour itself was fun, the only thing that wasn't so great was that we were in the 10% of people that didn't actually get to swim with dolphins. My two young kids and I booked the island and you food group tour with Susumu and Hiromi. It was a TRUE food tour where we had breakfast, lunch, snacks, and coffee..and got to enjoy amazing views while learning awesome Hawaii history. What made the trip even more worth while was our two terrific tour guides - again, Susumu and Hiromi. They had upbeat personalities, were down to earth, very understanding and patient. Susumu guided us toward areas that were less busy, but still known to be very popular and famous so we got to partake in the view and have the experience while not having to deal with a huge crowd. Hiromi kept an eye out for my hyper 6-yr old that just never seemed to pay attention to where he was going, even pulled him away from the beach waters when he started drifting that way, for his safety. I am so thankful I booked this tour and got these two tour guides. I'd do it again a heartbeat. I thoroughly enjoyed my time! (Even the person who answered the phone to direct me where to to to be picked up was very kind and thorough. I think this company is just wonderful). read more

After booking Dolphins and You we decided to take this tour the next day. It was a wonderful experience. We saw so many of the famous beaches and Chinaman's Hat which is on our list of things to do. All of the stops were educational to the history and culture of Hawaii. One of the last stops was at a commercialized area with shops and restaurants which I didn't care for but definitely had some good spots to get some souvenirs plus they had clean restrooms there for the kids. Food is included in on this tour. The scone in the morning was delicious and fresh. We stopped and ate it at a park, great way to start the tour. We stopped at a local restaurant and got sample sizes of Kalua pork, seaweed and octopus salad thing and poi. It was delicious. We ate kalua pork a few times on this vacation but this mom and pop spot had the most flavorful one for sure. We had opportunities to buy snacks and salsa and the macadamia farm place. The full meal portion of the tour was garlic shrimp at this shrimp stand that had a shrimp farm directly behind it. It. Was. Delicious. I loved seeing the cultural parts of the tour like the birthing stones. Would definitely recommend this tour. Ps we were the only not Japanese family on this tour. The guide did a great job giving the information in Japanese and then again in English. I never felt isolated or that we weren't getting the same experience just because we were the only English speaking family on the tour. read more
