Yianni is amazing guide. We booked a private tour just 2 days prior. My wife saw Hi5 in Facebook- Aulani group and can do custom tours. She DM and got a live response. We opted for a light tour, local goat farm, fruit stand, Weimea valley (waterfall), local food trucks, a surf beach and Cacao and coffee refinery. This is kid friendly especially the small one wanted to be carried instead of walking. Yianni knows the people in all areas, able to have a deeper history and great understanding. It's like a live Nat Geo and Anthony Bordain explanation level. It's a great experience. Normally, i hate tours as the guide just point to the local spots and that's it. It's no different from a Google search. Hi5, and Yianni in particular change this by having that connection to the local people. That is the magic. Relaxing no rush layed back enjoyable day- stop at Lenard's for famous pastry's, we went to old sugar mill where they make coffee & chocolate, stopped at secluded beach & saw a sea turtle in the distance it was quite relaxing beautiful. Trip to Waimea Valley Visitor Center and walked to the water fall, were there was enough time if anyone wanted to take a dip, then we stopped at food trucks where we had time to walk around and get something to eat, the last stop was at the KoHana rum factory for tasting. - we had a small group of only 6 unlike some of the tours we have been on with lots of people and felt rushed- Hi5 Tours gave us the plenty of time to Relax and enjoy. read more

Our family is extremely grateful for the fun and memorable tour from Yianni and Kevin. They greeted us with leis and took really nice pictures of us free of charge. I had the most amazing time on the Northshore Food & Waterfall tour with Auntie Kelly as our guide! She was so informative and knowledgeable about the history and infrastructure of Oahu, not only sharing information on the sights within the itinerary, but also on many things we saw on the way-- such as trees, buildings and monuments for historical figures.. When I told her this tour and my trip was to celebrate my birthday, she got a box of pastries (not the malasadas that we had earlier in the day which were on the itinerary) and sang happy birthday to me. The tour itself was also amazing. We stopped by Leonard's for malasadas (the Li Hing Mui one I had was SO GOOD.) before heading to Waimea Valley and hiking through the botanical garden to the waterfall. It started raining while we were there, but that too showed us another part of the beauty of the botanical garden. We then made a pit stop at Hale'iwa Beach Park and got to see a turtle that was beached & moving towards the water. We went to lunch (I got a poke bowl from Poke For The People in Hale'iwa and the fish was so fresh, DELICIOUS. you have to get the kimchi & pickled ginger [can't remember if it was ginger, onion, or something else. it was pickled tho]). Went to Tropical Farms Macadamia Nuts then to the Old Sugar Mill Brand Coffee & Chocolate for macadamia nut, coffee & chocolate samples. then finally stopped at Kohana Distillery for rum samples!!! One thing about me is that I'm a foodie, and my stomach definitely leads the way when I'm traveling. I hadn't heard of a food tour before learning about Hi5, and knew I had to book with them. Auntie Kelly was the best tour guide I've ever had, and I will definitely request to do a tour with her when I come back to Oahu! If you want a no stress, fun tour of the island this is the way to go!!! Yani was our guide today. We had two adults and four children 6-8. He was engaging, Knowledgeable and fun. He knew the locals and everyone working at the sights we stopped at. He treated them all with aloha, and we were never made to feel like howlie tourists. He joined in the fun with us ( even giving a piggy back ride to a tired kid). Took pictures of our group. He knew the best food trucks to stop at that had a selection for everyone. This tour was the best things my family and I did while on the amazing island of O'ahu...and maybe it's was even the best adventures we've ever done as a family! We wanted to get out and see the island outside of our hotel and this is the way to see it. Our tours guide Yianni is the man! He's funny, personal, full of fun facts about the island's rich history and he's got hooks up at every stop!! He's a better tour guide than even having a local friend take you around, because touring and getting you access to places in all he does, every day all day, and he does it damn well. We didn't have to wait in lines, he told us some of the best food spots, and catered the tour my families interest. My kids who are 12 and 14, took to his openness and charm immediately and were able to enjoy themselves throughout the entire trip without one single complaint!!! If you love food, nature, some history, great story-telling and VIP-like access to lots of great known (and oof-the-beaten) attractions, then this is the BEST way to spend a day on O'ahu. It was worth every penny. We would all do it again in a heartbeat. And I really wish there were more awesome people like Yiannis doing tour in the places my family and I want to travel to in the future. This business came highly recommended on a Facebook site I belong to so we gave it a try. My daughter and I were visiting Oahu for the first time and we didn't have a rental, so booked a private tour as a way to see the island. We were NOT disappointed!! We spent a relaxing, enjoyable day seeing the sites that were personalized to our interests. We didn't have to fight traffic, search for parking or walk long distances to get to our destinations. Instead we were treated like old friends by Yianni and our driver, James. Our belongings were guarded by James, while Yianni showed us sites we probably would have never seen by ourselves. Yianni was so kind and entertaining to myself and my 9 year old daughter. I even went paddle boarding- which I never would have done on my own, but was definitely the highlight of my whole trip! Yianni provided instructions so I felt safe and successfully paddled while sea turtles swam underneath my board. Even though the day was long and jam packed with fun, we never felt rushed or stressed. At the end of the day it felt like we were saying goodbye to dear friends. I was in Hawaii for less then 3 whole days, got a cheap flight when a friend offered his hotel to share. We booked this from our hotel and THANK (enter your own word here) we did!!!! I got to see so much of the island in a day and the best part was it wasn't tourist fueled garbage. The good thing with this is you get to see both ends of what makes the island great. We were in Honolulu, the tour was with Yianni and Eric. They are great! You get to request music or sing Karaoke in the Van, they make sure you are included and don't feel singled out at the same time. Yianni is a great people person and reads everyone so well to make sure if one of the pack is getting tired or bored, he jumps in to save the experience. You also get to see some touristy things like the pineapple farm and local tourist stops but I enjoyed the fact that I wasn't on a caddle tour and got to run on the beaches, swim with the turtles and walk North Shore with my shaved ice and friend alone for a while, too. It's not a fancy hoity toity tour but it will make your heart happy! I Hope to get back out there soon! read more

If you do nothing else on Oahu do this tour! Not only was this the best tour I've ever done it was hands down one of the best days of my life. I swam with turtles, I got to see Oahu's beautiful surf beaches that only locals know about! Fantastic value for money and so interesting! We went to a coffee plantation and a beautiful Asian temple. Our guide, Yianni personalised the tour to us and we even got to hold beautiful green lizards at the dole pineapple plantation. Such a magic day! I can't recommend this tour highly enough! read more

Fantastic day from start to finish with Imran! The morning started with a box of Leonard's malasadas and leis for our family! Imran was a fantastic tour guide, open ideas and gave great information about the culture and areas as we drove to the north shore. A few places on the agenda were the Dole plantation, views of turtles at a local beach, lunch at the famous Giovanni's shrimp truck, and Matsumoto shaved ice. He even made a special stop to two stores that the kids wanted to visit. We visited the Waimalu Falls, in which he walked us up to the falls. While there, he helped the kids on the rocks and took lots of great pictures! Throughout the day, Imran took pictures to capture special moments!
