The best stylists in my experience have been from Japan and Korea. They know my hair best and their techniques are first class. I finally found my stylist, but she is on Oahu which means I need to spend extra money to fly over to get my hair done. That's how selective I am with stylists and important it is to trust anyone with my hair. Since I can't see Naomi at Raiz salon on Oahu often, I needed to find someone locally. I've come across some good stylists, but not great. With a recommendation from my cousin, who raved about her technique (the style and technique my asian stylists have), I wanted to make an appointment right away. Upon our first meeting, we clicked. I brought in samples of what I liked, had a great consultation, got to see some of her expertise at work and was blown away. I call her "Edward Scissorshand" lol I felt confident she knew her stuff. I trusted her with my hair. Sold! I never felt as excited about getting my hair cut with anyone other than my regular stylist on Oahu and in Colorado. She's also a great person to talk to. My 1 hour hair appt became a 2hour getaway. Thanks, Julia! She moved into a smaller space at Harbor Mall, but I like that it's cozier and more personal, rather than sitting in a room with a bunch of strangers with hair problems and their kids and families who tag along. lol With her expertise, I was amazed at the affordable cut for my long locks. I am used to paying at least $60 for just a cut/shampoo/style. I paid half of what I normally do. Cost is never an issue with me if it means getting a very good one. Thank you Julia! I'd like to see more exclusive hair products from Asia, but the "Miracle 10" leave in potion she recommended is awesome for my fine hair. For those who haven't been, they sell a…read morebunch of items (t-shirts, plastic sunglasses and hair clips, canvas bags, nail polish, etc.) that look simple in black-and-white until exposed to ultraviolet light, which changes the appearance to a vibrant colorful design. They have UV lights scattered throughout the store so you can see exactly what an item looks like after it's been touched by the sun. For those who haven't seen this store before, their wares make great gifts for friends and family back home. It's a bit on the pricey side for t-shirts, but it's not like color-changing clothing and accessories is commonplace. My wife and I ended up buying a couple of t-shirts for ourselves and got a free canvas bag that we gave as a gift.

I also have sensitivity in certain areas of my body and she was so gentle and mindful in those spots. I loved her aura as well. Every service has been wonderful; expertly given in a soothing environment with high quality products. I recently paid for a "Radiesse with PRP" treatment on 11/18/2025 performed by Taylor Specht, RN. She performed the procedure with a cannula into my neck, however it was not handled in delicate manner. A lot of force was used and it not only was it painful, but it left two stretch mark scars in the area of the cannula insertion. I booked a follow up visit with this RN injector and displayed the skin damage to my neck area, as a result of her heavy hand. There was no apology, but only a suggestion as to "wait and see". I've had this same treatment numerous times over the past several years by other medical spas, with no issues or any pain. In fact, I reached out to some of regular long term practitioners, and each of them were astonished, that I had severe bruising and potential scarring from this treatment. Unfortunately, the Release of Liability that a patient is asked to sign, allows poor practitioners the ability to do something harmful to a patient, without any perceived liability or recourse, on their end. The lack of care is evident in the way that this injector handled my treatment. I would not recommend Taylor Specht, for any aesthetic procedure that involves precision, skill and a delicate approach.

However, when I drove to the clinic, I recognized the location from an encounter I had yesterday and decided to keep driving. I had parked in the lot to pick up an order at the restaurant across the street. Dr. Menezes came out and asked whether I was visiting her business. When I explained that I was going across the street, she responded sharply, "Then park across the street!" At the time, the lot was completely empty, with at least six open spaces, and there were no visible signs indicating that parking was restricted to her customers. I completely understand that business owners have the right to reserve parking for their clients, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily rude and hostile. A simple explanation that the lot was for customers only would have been sufficient. Instead, the interaction left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. If this is how she treats random people on the street, it does not inspire confidence in the level of care or professionalism patients can expect. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice.
