I Wish I Could Leave Zero Stars This was one of the most horrible customer service experiences I've ever had experienced with a transportation company. The woman who answers the phone at Island Breeze Shuttle was rude from the second she picked up. She had a attitude about everything I said. Instead of being kind she was condescending. If she is a owner god help us......I couldn't remember the exact date of my booking, and instead of helping me, she acted irritated and completely dismissive. After giving me attitude, she finally agreed to search by my email address. Then she made a comment, saying that in all her years she had "never heard such an asinine comment." Completely uncalled for. When I told her I didn't appreciate how she was speaking to me, she hung up on me. This is not how you treat customers. I own a shuttle business myself, and I would never treat my clients the way this place treated me. If this is their idea of customer service, I can only imagine how the actual service would be. Beware--you won't get the service you expect here. I tried supporting a local company, and this is what I got in return. Terrible experience. One star only because zero isn't an option. read more

DONOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We waited 2 hours after getting off our cruise ship waiting for this guy to show up. We were almost late to our flight. He claimed there was traffic and every time we called to see what was taking so long, he claimed he was 5-10 min away. My husband was super frustrated and called he main office to complain. The lady in the office hung up on him. The driver admitted that they double booked and he made another pickup/drop off. When he finally did get close to our pick up spot, he told us to walk 2 blocks to meet him. We would have been far better off with Uber or Lyft, but this company makes you pay up front so we waited so as not to lose our money. Biggest waste of almost $400. Save your money and DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Had used Island Breeze in the past with no complaints however we are DEEPLY disappointed with a contracted and pre-paid service for late Nov/ early Dec. Pick up in Houston for transfer to pier in Galveston went as planned and driver was very courteous. However the return trip to Houston Hobby could not have gone more wrong. Driver was on time but we waited and waited until other passengers arrived. Then on to another stop at a different pier and waited yet again. We had a 9:30am pick up and by 10 the other passengers were still not there. To make matters worse, the other party picked up with us got on the wrong bus and the driver still needed to go back to the first pier and look for that party. It was now nearly 45 minutes past the scheduled service time and our party of 5 was concerned that we would miss our 12:10 flight. We eventually hailed a cab which got us to the airport just in time to get through TSA and to our gate with just a few minutes to spare. Since this service was charged to our credit card several months ago it is now too late to dispute with the bank. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a reliable shuttle. And even paying cab fare TWICE is less than Island Breeze charges. read more

Arrived at Houston airport on Jan 9th - cold and miserable evening 40 degrees with driving wind and rain. Our driver picked us up on time as arranged and stated first thing as we were already loaded and pulling away "I should have gotten a different van - this one has a work order on it because it doesn't have any heat!" It was a LONG cold miserable hour ride to our hotel on Galveston Island. We said something to the driver about compensation and he said he couldn't do anything about it and that we should contact the main number we booked with.... (driver Roly should have brought a different van!) I emailed the office after our arrival and she said she couldn't do anything but would pass along to the owner. SEVERAL emails later we NEVER heard from anyone again. Poor way to do business - no apology no contact nothing. I would not do business with them - who knows how they would handle other situations. read more

All I can say is incredible, wow, amazing, awesome! We had the day from hell with Alaska airlines, multiple delays due to maintenance issues, but no matter what, Lucky with Island Breeze was reassuring, letting us know that he would be waiting for us as soon as we finally made it to Houston. When we finally arrived in Houston, Lucky made sure we knew where he was parked and made it easy to find the shuttle. While in route to Galveston, Lucky was informative, friendly and funny. Once we got to Galveston, Lucky drove past local sites pointing out points of interest for our adventures the next day. I had the most horrendous experience with this company. I got COVID and tried to cancel my rides. I tried calling, texting, emailing... No answer. The morning of my first ride, Lana finally picked up the phone and told me it was too late to cancel and that their terms don't state that they will accommodate people who got COVID. She also told me that I lied about calling and texting. Well, she said that she can't see any texts nor call, nor emails, although I have all the screenshots. Of course, they already charged my credit card and refuse to give me my 200 dollars back. Not even some of it. Shameful practices. Stay away. read more

We recently used Island Breeze Shuttle for our transportation from Houston Airport to Galveston Island then again the day of our cruise from the hotel to the cruse terminal. Excellent service, especially seeing we had 12 members in our party (4 of which were 3-6 years old and needed booster seats. During booking the lady I spoke with was great, she gave me a fair price and was full of knowledge. The booking was with ease. Upon landing and while taxing Pete texted and let me know he was there. I kept in contact with him as our larger party of 12 made our way through the airport. He told us exactly what door to meet him at and how to identify the van. He was friendly and well prepared for us he had a van with a trailer to bring our 15+ large pieces of luggage. He had the booster seats in the vehicle ready for me to install. Once loaded we were off and all I could think was how easy this was and for such a good price. He got us to our destination in a timely fashion and was friendly along the way giving us some great ideas of places to visit and eat while in Galveston. Upon arrival at our destination he helped unload all our luggage and wished us well, telling us someone would be back to pick us up in a couple days for the cruise. A few days later, day of the cruise I received a text from our driver (I forget his name) that he was on his way to pick us up. He showed up early and was well prepared. He filled us in with some tips as we pulled into the cruise terminal and got us unloaded efficiently transferring our bags to the cruise terminal staff and sorting out the bags we wanted to bring on with us. This company was extremely professional and someone I would trust working with again. They did everything right when your looking for someone to trust taking a large group around: they were fair on price; they were safe; they provided us nice booster seats to use; they gave us plenty of room to not be squished; they were on time and mostly delivered on every bit of the service. Upon booking this service, we requested two car seats for our children (1 year old and 3 years old) . When the shuttle arrived at the airport, we were provided with only one working car seat. We were driven to our destination with our 3 year old strapped into an adult seatbelt as we did not have any other mode of transportation available and rental cars to Galveston were sold out. Cynthia Festa, CEO of Island Breeze Shuttle informed me that the car seats were complimentary and we will not be accommodated for our troubles because "We did provide the transfer you paid for, the car seat is complimentary, I am indeed sorry it was missing a strap, these things can happen." Upon being picked up in Galveston to be transported back to the airport, our shuttle was pulled over and we were informed by the police that Island Breeze could no longer transport us because their permit was expired and the driver was unlicensed. Between the time the shuttle was pulled over and a "solution" was found, we sat on a curb in downtown Galveston with our children for two hours. We were informed by the officer that Island Breeze sent the shuttle and the driver knowing the issues with their permit and licensing, because the same driver was pulled over the previous Sunday. read more

I booked this company and had zero issues. Communication was great. I was texted by Wayne prior to landing at Bush Airport. We were delayed by 3 hrs but Wayne was very understanding. I used island breeze shuttle as a way of getting from IAH Airport to Galveston for a cruise. Booking was okay. I asked for a quote and was pleased with the price. When I called to book, the price had gone up about $100 dollars. Not thrilled. Also, I called and left a message and it took about 3 days to respond. Once I did get a phone call back, the representative was pleasant and easy to work with. I felt happy booking with this company. I was assured I would receive a detailed itinerary in my email a few days before the trip. When it came to the day of travel, I had not received my itinerary. I called and left a message and not fifteen minutes later I had a call back. I explained that I did not receive my email itinerary and the rep explained it would not be an issue. When we arrived in Houston, our driver would text and tell us their location. It was easy to find and our driver was great. He kept us updated on texts and even called to make sure we could find him easily. Payment was easy- used an iPad with square. We paid for the round trip and added a tip both ways. On the way back to IAH from Galveston, I figured I would have received my itinerary by then. I again called the company and left a message. I was called back and the rep this time was not pleasant. She insisted that an itinerary was sent. I told her that I did not receive it and had called the company before my trip. I know they had my correct email as I had been sending my flight information via email when I booked the trip. I felt like a child and my mother was scolding me for not following directions. She soured my feelings for island breeze shuttle. The actual trip back to the airport was fine, although I was upset the communication was sub par. It's frustrating that this company does not answer the phone, you have to call and leave a message and wait for a phone call back. Next time, it would be easier to just rent a car. read more

We cruised out of Galveston and Island Breeze gave us fantastic service from the hotel to the port, then from the port to Bush Airport. Wayne was our driver each time and he was on time, even early, always courteous and pleasant, and provided great service. Note: they were more affordable that Lyft! Late post, actually left Galveston over 3 weeks ago but got so busy at work didn't get around to posting this review til tonight. My trip to Galveston was very last minute, so I used a local cab from Hobby. Luckily for my trip back I was booked into Island Breeze Shuttle. Early morning pickup and driver confirmed by text TWICE both my address and time. Then he showed up 10 minutes early and texted to let me know he was outside and not to feel rushed in any way. Luck was really on my side since I ended up being the only passenger heading north (he was picking up a large group for a fishing boat on the way back). The van was clean and comfortable, the outside temperature was already in the high 80's. The driver, David (?) was very nice, we talked a little baseball and we got to airport early without any maniac driving on his part. What a relief. Will be going back to Galveston in late September and will definitely book again. read more

We stayed overnight in Galveston and they picked us up the next morning and delivered us to cruise port. Return trip from cruise to Galveston. We booked transportation from George Bush airport to Galveston through this company three weeks prior to our trip. They decided to change our pickup time the day before our cruise due to lack of drivers and "traffic". When we told them that the new pickup time would make us late for our cruise, they said there was nothing they could do and that we could cancel if we wanted without charge. At that point, it was too late to book with anyone else. We ended up paying twice as much for another form of transportation last minute. By far the worst experience I've ever had with a transportation company. Glad I cancelled with them and used the cruise line transportation services instead for my return trip. read more

Not sure why shows closed? Used twice this week for our cruise. All I can say is WOW!!!!! I am not one to write reviews but my husband and I were absolutely astonished by the level of customer service they provided. First, our plane was delayed and they called me to advise not a problem they would be at airport when we arrived. We weren't even aware of flight delay until they called, shortly after airport made announcement. We were scheduled for pickup from port at 11am but ship disembarked early. To our surprise when we called them at 9am to see if could be picked up earlier they advised already outside waiting on us. From speaking with Lana (who was so sweet and helpful) to the gentleman that picked us up at the port on Sunday in a horrendous downpour, the entire transaction was simple and professional! They don't seem to interested in booking my transfer. They take at least a week to reply to email, if they reply at all, and did not return my phone call when i called to book. I am not paying international phone rates to call again! The one email i got back in response to inquiry as to their rates was short, curt, without a signature with contact info etc. Not professional at all. I guess i will take my business to Galveston shuttle and limo, who replied within 12 hours with all my questions answered, and i can book them online! read more
